That same evening, Moon had asked her mother to stay over at Lillie's to study, they had a good, friendly relationship so it wasn't as difficult to get permission.
"So we're going to Aether Paradise? I've never actually been" Keita admitted"Especially not for my own mishap"
"It's okay to be nervous, I mean this is a strange occurrence, "Moon admitted. Keita had been riding with Moon and Lillie to Aether Paradise, They were good trainers, but they were beginners with Lillie having an Alolan Vulpix while Moon had a Rowlet, truth be told, Keita was the only one in class who didn't have a pokémon partner.
"Well there's nothing to worry about, my mother is very kind, I just know that she'll be able to help you"
"Thanks, You've all been so helpful, I don't know how I can thank you!"
"It's what friends do, besides, There's no way I'm missing out on something this strange"
"W-we're friends?" He looked surprised, he thought that they were only helping so they wouldn't be bored.
"Of course we are, we tried hanging out with you but you were always too busy to notice"Moon explained"Even when we visited you at the Pokémon center, you didn't even notice us unless we got to the counter"
Keita looked embarrassed and flustered, had he really not noticed, was he so busy making medicine that he left everyone else out of his life!?
"I'm...Sorry..." He said quietly
"It's fine, we all have our own lives to attend to," Lillie explained then lightly stroking his fur
"I promise, I'll put others in my life," He said then being flung into the back of the front seat when the car they rode in suddenly stopped."Ow...What happened"Keita said dizzily as the door swung open and Keita fell onto the ground.
"T-team Skull!?"Lillie looked surprised scooting back to the other car door with Moon attempting to protect her.
" Is this that talking Eevee the boss wanted?"One of the grunts said lifting him up by his right back leg.
"Eevee..." He hadn't been unconscious but he acted like it to seem like a normal Eevee
"No, It's just some weak normal one, stay out of our way" They threw the Eevee out into the other side of the car
"Eevee..." He said dizzily once again
"Keita, are you okay!?" Moon said as he shook his head standing up
"I'm fine, Just a little acting" He whispered with a wink.
"Thank goodness, We should get to Aether paradise, from my house we can get picked up," Lillie said getting out of the car to check on her driver, her family's butler but acted more of a kind uncle who liked to clean"Are you alright?"
"Yes, I am quite alright, I'm sorry I couldn't do anything"
"It's okay, we're fine, we should just hurry so that way we aren't attacked again, It seems that Team Skull is after Keita"
"Okay, get back inside and I'll go as fast as possible"
"Thank you" Lillie heading towards the back seats
"I still can't believe we got away from the Grunts from earlier," Keita said now climbing into the seats
"You're also the one who fired Shadow ball square into Guzma's face, that was awesome!" Moon admitted
"W-wait, you saw that!?"
"I may or may not have been peeking out of the closet" She giggled making Keita looked embarrassed, he often felt rushed and anxious when watched by others.
"Lady Lillie, we've arrived, your mother is here to pick you all up"
"Thank you, We'll be back soon," She said then looking down at Keita "Hopefully with you as a human"
"Hopefully...But I have been getting used to being an Eevee"
The three exited the vehicle with Keita walking in between them
"Alola Lillie, Alola Moon!" Lillie's mother had said running to them then noticing Keita"Lillie!? Did you catch an Eevee, all by yourself? I'm so proud of you!" She began hugging both her and the Eevee
"You gonna tell her, or should I," He muttered
"Mother... This is Keita, he used to be human, but he turned into an Eevee,"
"You've become quite the jokester!"
"She's not joking, please put me down" Lusamine jumped back.
"Wait I'm still human...On the inside at least, I just have the body of an Eevee,"
"We wanted to see if you could figure out how to turn him back?"
"Oh, alright we'll see what we can do, Keita's a new name for me, have you ever been to Aether Paradise?"
"I haven't, but will you be able to help me?"
"I promise, we'll do everything we can,"
The ride to Aether Paradise went smoothly, except for the fact when Keita looked out the window he instantly got dizzy falling onto the floor then clinging onto one of the seats
"You're not afraid of heights, are you?"
"I wasn't...but now I am," He admitted
"It'll be fine, once this is finished you'll be back to normal!"
"I don't want to disappoint you, but I'm not even sure if we can turn you human again, but we will try our best!"
"Thanks" They began to head towards the multilayer elevator as they were greeted by a woman with a lab coat over a purple sweater, she seemed to be kind, almost like a mother would
"Alola Lusamine, Alola Lillie, and you must be Moon and your Eevee, I'm Wicke, its nice to meet you!"
"I'm Keita! Likewise!" Keita said making Wicke back away from it"Y-you can talk!?"
"I'm not a pokémon!" Keita then squeaked loudly with Moon covering his mouth and lifting him up
"Stop talking so much!"
"Wicke, this is Keita one of Lillie's classmates, somehow he transformed into an Eevee, we're going to try and turn him back"
"I understand, it would take a while to set up, Lillie, why don't you take Keita and Moon up to the Pokémon Area, we'll send some staff for you when we're ready"
"Okay, thanks," Lillie said then turning towards the elevator. It was triangular shaped with the railing coming up from an indention where the rim is. The Pokémon area was only available to those who had a keycard, so for school field trips or just visiting, one of the staff would activate it with everyone on board. Lillie pulled a card from her bag then gestured for the other two to come onto the elevator
"Have fun, Lillie!" Lusamine waved standing still. Lillie and Moon seemed to be enjoying the elevator, Keita however, wasn't as appealed with him trying to stay as close to the middle as possible
"You okay Keita?"
"I-I'm just...afraid of heights" He muttered looking away embarrassed
"It's fine, up here it'll look like you're on the ground" Lillie assured him with a simple pat on his mane.
"I-I hope so"
Lillie was right, the floor was built to look like it had been ground itself, with nothing but the calm, gentle faces of staff members and Pokémon playing in the area. Almost instantly, the three were noticed by one of the staff members.
"Alola Lillie, Alola Moon, I heard that you wanted help with your Eevee, is it feeling alright?"
"It's feeling alright, we just wanted to get him checked up, and thought little Keita here would need trust the best of the best" Moon explained with Keita nodding
"It seems healthy to me, although it's fur is a little strange"
"What do you mean?"
"Well it's fur is a darker shade than most Eevee, and I've never seen Eevee's fur to grow on their head like that"
"Oh, that! Keita's special, we wouldn't ever replace him, no matter how different he is"
Keita let out a happy cry like an Eevee staying close to Moon and Lillie not wanting to push his luck
"Then a voice from a siren was heard with it being more of a broadcasting system, typically it was used to signal guests when visiting hours ended, or what areas were closed to the public.
" Lillie and Moon, please come to the Elevator, again Lillie and Moon please come to the elevator" It seemed to be Wicke's voice, although slightly altered due to the siren.
"C'mon Keita, we have to head inside"
"Eevee!" He said again. The three began heading inside with Keita following close behind glad that he wasn't seen as suspicious
"Hey Keita, you feeling alright?" Moon asked
"Eevee! Vee Eev!" He cried happily running circles around Moon and Lillie. He might have just been acting since someone was at the Elevator waiting for them.
"Alola, you're Lillie, Moon, and Keita, correct?" She seemed to be a higher rank than the other staff in the Pokémon area, most likely an admin if some sort
"Yes, that's us"
"Alright then, President Lusamine is ready to see you three"
Keita squealed again staying far from the unfamiliar individual
"Didn't they say that this Eevee was human?"
"Oh thank Arceus you already knew...Acting like an Eevee is harder than I thought"
"Oh thank goodness we didn't lose you"
"I have to admit it was well-acted, and yes, President Lusamine is ready to see you"
Once downstairs there seemed to be a male trainer, clean and neat clothes meaning either he was a wuss, or he was a beginner trainer although he was wearing a lab coat, so he was probably a doctor. He seemed to be looked towards an Eevee that laid on the table with a burning fever.
"Damion, I'm fine!"The Eevee had said laying in his grasp as Keita looked bewildered about it, nobody else seemed to notice though
" D-did that Eevee just talk!? You mean I'm not the only one!"
"Keita! Stay quiet" Moon whispered covering his mouth"The Eevee didn't say anything and neither did you"The boy turned around looking for the male that just spoke
"I-is someone there?" He looked towards the two females that were around his age with an Eevee in the middle trying to get his Satchel from Moon. Successfully getting it, Keita dragged the bag to the table then spoke like an Eevee with a jar of the medicine being carried in his mouth from a blue ribbon.
"Wait, isn't this medicine made by Keita himself?" The boy asked taking it from the Eevee and reading the label"Fever Medicine, Only take a spoonful for small Pokémon" Keita held a plastic spoon on his head as he reached for it doing as the instructions claimed.
"Thanks a lot, My assistant got sick all of a sudden but I couldn't just leave it in case it got hurt" He placed a single spoonful of medicine into the Eevee's mouth with it starting to instantly feel better jumping up and running in circles around Keita
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I feel so much better now!" The Eevee said happily next to Keita with a playful tackle
"I can't believe I got to meet you, I have to thank you for helping, although I was told you were a boy,"
"Oh It's not my medicine," she said looking at the boy who seemed to be wearing a lab coat with thin glasses."Do you work here?"Moon asked
"Y-you just talked!?" Keita jumped back speaking loudly
"What are you talking about, you're an Eevee aren't you?"
The boy looked shocked at the talking Eevee in the room"You mean the talking Pokémon exists!? They said a talking Pokémon would be coming downstairs, but I didn't think they were serious"
"About that medicine...I'm not Keita, he is" Moon pointed towards the Eevee
"Eh, can you not give away my secret!" Keita said looking annoyed" But this Eevee just talked!" He looked surprised whereas everyone was just confused.
"What are you talking about, It didn't talk"
"B-but I just heard it"
"Keita, they're humans, they can't understand us, well actually it looks like they understand you"
"So you're saying only Pokémon can understand each other?"
"I feel like you should have known that"
"Well, I've only been a Pokémon for a few days, I'm human...On the inside anyways"
"Well I mean that would explain how they can understand you, and how you were startled by me talking"
Soon a click was heard as a door opened with Lusamine and a few others stepping outside of a room
"Oh, I see everyone's met, Well then, Moon, Lillie, Keita, this is Taylor, He specializes in helping Eevee and their evolutions"Lusamine explained with Taylor giving a slight wave.
" Okay Keita, if you are human, can you tell me how you became a Pokémon?"Taylor asked
"Well, The Process is a little obscured, but contact with a mystical artifact caused me to slowly turn into an Eevee, first my ears changed, then my teeth, and lastly I grew a tail until just passing out and waking up completely transformed the next day"He took a pause" Moon has any other information if you need it"
"Thanks, I guess they called for me since I'm an Eevee specialist,"
For some reason, Keita's phone rang with Moon answering it and handing the phone down to Keita.
"Hello?" He asked
"Keita, I think it's time you should know, I figured it would have blown over by now, but our family...It's not like others"
"What are you talking about?"
"We're directly linked with the ancients of this land and we share DNA with Pokémon"
"But why has it just come up now?"
"Okay think of the stick like an Ability capsule, By interacting with the artifact, your DNA was altered to its original form which caused you to turn into an Eevee"
"But Team Skull how did they know about it, I was attacked the day after I transformed and they knew about the artifact"
"I'm afraid...Guzma also linked to the ancients, he too has the power to transform with it, He would have anyways the artifact can only allow one transformation at a time, It currently holds the switch for your DNA, you were attacked because he needs you to turn human to allow him to"
"Is this the only artifact?"
"No, That was the switch for Eevee, Our artifact was the Switch for Audino, he wants all of the artifacts to allow him to freely switch which Pokémon he is"
"Why didn't you tell me sooner"
"I was afraid...I hoped that he wouldn't know about you, because he will stop at nothing to get his Artifact"
"Doesn't he have his own?"
"His was destroyed...by me"
"What!? You can't be serious"
"I am. It was twenty years ago, I was twelve at the time trying to defeat Guzma's grandfather for he had tried breaking the balance the world holds with Human and Pokémon"
"What balance?"
"The ancients weren't just able to become Pokémon by accident, it was a power given by the Tapu guardians, they each chose five individual humans to keep the balance between the land, Guzma's descendants were chosen as well as ours, long after his grandfather found the power within him as he tried breaking the balance by stealing and using most of the artifacts at once, making himself a powerful fusion, The ones who still had their artifacts had to join together destroying his after defeating him, I fear Guzma will do the same"
"But what can I possibly do?"
"Return home with the artifact you found, If we can give it to the newest descendent then we can prevent him from using them"
"Whose artifact is the Eevee anyways?"
"The Glaxia's,"
"You mean Moon's, an Ancient?"
"Yes, you must hurry home quickly!"
