Twilight Shade:

Season 1: Episode 1: Pilot

Gabriella: What is it, Mrs. Watson?

Mrs. Watson: Your mother called the school department.

Gabriella: But why?

Mrs. Watson: You're leaving.

Gabriella: What? But what would Shane have to say about this? I mean, I'll have to tell him that I'm going.

Mrs. Watson: I don't think that it's going to be possible.

Gabriella: But-

Mrs. Watson: *Cuts her off.* He's dead, Gabs.

Gabriella: *Drops to the floor.* When?

Mrs. Watson: He died yesterday following a car accident with a drunk driver.

Gabriella: *Sheds a tear.* How?

Mrs. Watson: The drunk driver wasn't paying any attention on the road ahead of him, so he collided with Shane's car and he died overnight in hospital.

Gabriella: Is that how it happened?

Mrs. Watson: Yes.

Gabriella: I have to tell the others!

Mrs. Watson: There's no point, Gabriella. The others have already been notified on his death.

Gabriella: The have?

Mrs. Watson: Yes.

Gabriella: And was I the last person to know about this?

Mrs. Watson: Yes. And your mother believes that you are in grave danger.

Gabriella: What kind of danger?

Mrs. Watson: They're after your blood.

Gabriella: Who?

Mrs. Watson: The Vampires.

Gabriella: Oh.

Mrs. Watson: Don't worry. Your mother is sending you to a safe place.

Gabriella: And what is this safe place?

Mrs. It's called 'Prythian'.

Gabriella: Oh.

Mrs. Watson: It's a faerie realm across from the border.

Gabriella: *Faints.*

Mrs. Watson: That went well.

Gabriella: *Wakes up.* Why would she want to send me there?

Mrs. Watson: Because she wanted you to be protected from harm's way.

Gabriella: Oh, so, I don't have a choice or a way out of this?

Mrs. Watson: Of course you don't.

Gabriella: And that is why she is sending me there?

Mrs. Watson: Yes. Cause, it's the only way to keep you safe from them.

Gabriella: I can't what I'm hearing.

Mrs. Watson: It's a lot to take in.

Gabriella: I meant this conversation.

Mrs. Watson: If you don't believe me ask your mother and she'll tell you everything that you need to know about the faerie realm.

Gabriella: Then I will.

Mrs. Watson: The only people that will protect you are France and Lucas.

Gabriella: Are they human?

Mrs. Watson: No. They're not. They are Faeries.

Gabriella: Now your creeping me out!

Mrs. Watson: Franco and Lucas are here to take you to Prythian now.

Gabriella: *Gets up off the floor.* What?!

Mrs. Watson: They're going to take you there now.

Gabriella: Okay.

Franco: *Walks into the room.* Why do we have to take a human to our lands? Can't her mother protect Gabriella herself rather than to have us take her across the border?

Lucas: Franco, her mother doesn't have the power to protect her from certain death.

Franco: But it still doesn't give her the right to dump her on us.

Lucas: I know, but it's for the best.

Gabriella: *Runs out of the office/starts crying.*

Lucas: Look at what you did!

Franco: It's not my fault!

Lucas: It is your fault!

Franco: I know. And I'm not apologising for it.

Lucas: Now that's just cold, Franco.

Franco: And we've got to find her and get her out of here.

Lucas: Yes, we do.

Franco: Of course we do.

Lucas: *Walks away from the office/passes a couple of classrooms/spots her sitting on a step.*

Gabriella: *Gets up/starts walking away.*

Franco: *Blocks her pathway.*

Gabriella: *Tries to get pass him.*

Lucas: *Grabs her.*

Gabriella: *Struggles to get out of his grasp.* Let go of me!

Lucas: No. I'm not letting you go.

Gabriella: Please just let me go.

Lucas: No.

Franco: *Whispers to Lucas.* I suggest we knock her un-conscious.

Gabriella: *Looks between them both.* What...

Lucas: *Knocks her out.* That wasn't a bad idea.

Gabriella: *Falls to the ground.*

Franco: *Picks her up.* I guess it wasn't.

Lucas: I thought you didn't care about the human?

Franco: *Starts walking with her in his arms.* Of course I don't.

Lucas: *catches up/walks beside him.* Maybe, I should carry her.

Franco: *Stops/passes her over to him.

Lucas: Why were you carrying her in the first place if you didn't care about her at all?

Franco: Because I suggested to you to knock her un-conscious.

Lucas: I know.

Franco: *Exhales/smells a vampire.* I have... I mean, we have to get her out of here NOW!

Lucas: Why?

Franco: Because there's a vampire here.

Lucas: Let's get her out of here now. Otherwise it's going to be too late to save her life.

Franco: *Takes her from him/runs as fast as he can.*

Lucas: *Catches up to him.*

Franco: *Carries her across the border.*

Lucas: *Joins him.*

Franco: She's safe for now.

Lucas: Let's take her to Spring Court. But why?

Franco: Because the High Lord might know what to do.

Lucas: Okay.

Gabriella: *Begins to wake up.*

Franco: *Looks down at her.* She's awake.

Lucas: I know.

Franco: Are you okay?

Gabriella: I'm fine. But can I go back?

Franco: No.

Gabriella: I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to my dead boyfriend.

Franco: Gabriella, you can't go back.

Gabriella: Why?

Lucas: Because there are vampires hunting you down for your blood and we would very much like it, if you don't end up dead.

Gabriella: But I thought that you didn't like humans?

Lucas: We didn't up until the High Lord of Spring Court, by the name Caspian, sent us to the mortal lands to get you.

Gabriella: And what's going to happen now?

Franco: You stay here with us of course, so that no-one can murder you or ever hurt you again.

Gabriella: What about my mother?

Lucas: I don't know.

Gabriella: We don't... You two don't know?

Franco: Of course we don't. We don't even know if she's safe. I mean, if your mother's safe.

Gabriella: Okay. But why am I even here?

Lucas: Because we all have to protect you from being harmed.

Gabriella: Okay. Can I walk?

Lucas: No. You were just knocked out and you'll possibly feel dizzy. And I wouldn't want you to fall and hurt yourself and attract the vampires.

Gabriella: They don't know where I am.

Lucas: They will figure it out and make their way onto these lands, and try to murder you, Gabs. Your blood will be splattered all over the place, and I don't choose that. I wouldn't if I were you.

Gabriella: *Shakes her head.* Okay.

Lucas: Do you want know the reason why you were sent here to us in the first place?

Gabriella: No.

Franco: Lucas, don't ask her such questions.

Gabriella: Thanks, Franco.

Franco: Did you just thank me?

Gabriella: Yes, I did.

Franco: Wow.

Gabriella: *Falls asleep in Franco's arms.*

Lucas: Can I carry her for a bit?

Franco: No. She's fine here in my arms.

Lucas: She is?

Franco: Yes, she is.

Lucas: But I thought you hated the humans?

Franco: I did. But then I changed my thoughts about them. It might not be that bad living with a human.

Lucas: *Smiles.*

Franco: Why are you smiling?

Lucas: Because you're getting used to her.

Franco: Yes, I am.

Lucas: Are you falling in love with her?

Franco: No! Her boyfriend just passed away.

Lucas: I know.

Franco: What is it?

Lucas: *Sad.* He probably died trying to protect her.

Franco: Of course he did.

Lucas: I wonder if the vampires figured out that she left London to come to Prythian?

Franco: I think they will.

Lucas: How so?

Franco: If they sense her blood on the mortal land.

Lucas: Okay. But what would Queen Isabella of Under the Mountain have to say about this?

Franco: I don't know. Why?

Lucas: I'm just curious.

Franco: Okay.

Lucas: Did her mother say that it was her final year in her school?

Franco: I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure that her mother was going to tell her as soon as possible.

Lucas: Her and Shane would've had a future of raising kids together.

Franco: I don't want to hear the sub story of what her future would be like. Fate has many ways.

Lucas: How so?

Franco: It can change her life forever.

Lucas: *Changes the suject.* But did he ever care for her at all?

Franco: I don't think he did, Lucas.

Lucas: Okay.

Gabriella: *Wakes up/looks up at him.*

Franco: Your alright, Gab. We're nearly at the manor.

Gabriella: Okay.

Lucas: Why did you wake up anyway?

Gabriella: Because I thought I might have heard something snap.

Franco: Okay. I think your hallucinating things, human.

Gabriella: Your right, Franco.

Lucas: *Puts a hand on Franco's shoulder/whispers into his ago.* Put her to sleep.

Franco: *Makes her faint.* Okay.

Lucas: *Glamour's her.*

Gabriella: *Falls asleep.*

Franco: That should keep her quiet.

Lucas: Your right.

High Lord Caspian: *Spots them from the dinning room/goes outside to greet them.*

Franco: Hi, Caspian.

High Lord Caspian: Did you bring her?

Lucas: Yes, we did. Franco's carrying her.

High Lord Caspian: *Looks at the sleeping mortal in Franco's arms.* Okay. Has there been any trouble at all?

Franco: No.

High Lord Caspian: I've got some grave news to tell you. But first, we must put her into her new room.

Lucas: You can tell us, High Lord.

High Lord Caspian: Her mother was killed by a vampire.

Franco: How?

High Lord Caspian: She had a dagger ran through her heart.

Lucas: We mustn't tell her.

Franco: Of course we shouldn't.

High Lord Caspian: Why don't we tell her when she wakes up?

Franco: Okay:

Gabriella: *Moves in his arms.*

High Lord Caspian: Carry her upstairs and put her to bed.

Franco: Okay. Lucas, are you coming?

High Lord Caspian: I need to have a word with him.

Franco: You do?

High Lord Caspian: Yes.

Franco: Okay.

High Lord Caspian: And Franco...

Franco: *About to leave.* What?

High Lord Caspian: Please be gentle with her.

Franco: I will be.

High Lord Caspian: I'd hate to see anything happen to our guest.

Franco: I'll be very gentle with her.

High Lord Caspian: Has she eaten anything at all?

Lucas: No, she hasn't

High Lord Caspian: She'll have to eat something when she wakes up.

Lucas: I guess she will.

Franco: She'll have to otherwise, she'll faint and we wouldn't want that to happen.

Lucas: I put all my trust in you, Franco.

High Lord Caspian: You took the words right out of my mouth.

Lucas: Oh. And after all, she is one of us now. Well a human one of us, sort of thing.

Franco: You're welcome.

High Lord Caspian: I'm glad you got to her in time to bring her here to me.

Franco: I know. But is there away to erase their memories?

High Lord Caspian: What?

Lucas: He meant the memories of her in their minds.

High Lord Caspian: Oh, that I'm not sure of. And I plan on keeping her here.

Franco: And what if Isabella, I mean, Queen Isabella of Under the Mountain, finds out that we've got a human on our lands?

Lucas: Okay. I'm sure that she will, but she will be mad.

High Lord Caspian: Don't worry, Franco. I won't let that happen.

Franco: *Carries her away towards her new bedroom.*

Gabriella: *Wakes up.*

Franco: *Walks up the stairs/looks at her.*

Gabriella: Did you really mean what you said about hating me, and my kind, Franco?

Franco: I spoke about it with Lucas, and I, no longer do.

Gabriella: How do I know that you're not lying to me?

Franco: Cause, I'm not.

Gabriella: So you just want me to go with it?

Franco: Yes.

Gabriella: Is this going to be my home?

Franco: Yes. Since you can no longer go back.

Gabriella: What's going to happen to me?

Franco: I don't know.

Gabriella: And why did you put me to sleep?

Franco: It was because we finding it hard to think.

Gabriella: Can I walk now?

Franco: Remember what I said back at the forest?

Gabriella: Yes.

Franco: And what was it that I told you?

Gabriella: You told me that you didn't want me walking in case I felt faint or dizzy.

Franco: Yes, that is what I told you, Gabs.

Gabriella: Okay.

Franco: Do you want me to stay?

Gabriella: *Lies.* No. I'll be fine.

Franco: Don't. Lie. To. Me.

Gabriella: Why are you being like this, Franco?

Franco: I need to be near you.

Gabriella: Firstly, I already had a boyfriend. Secondly, you hate me, and thirdly, I already have vampires chasing my tail, and fourthly, I don't want anyone else dying for me.

Franco: That's why nobody will. If you accept us for your own protection.

Gabriella: I accept, Franco. But eventually, I will have to go back.

Franco: But you can't.

Gabriella: Why?

Franco: You have no-body left.

Gabriella: Yes, I do. I have my mother.

Franco: Gabby-

Gabriella: *Cuts him off.* Don't Gabby me.

Franco: *Opens up her bedroom door.* You can't go back there.

Gabriella: *Sighs.* Why?

Franco: Because they'll kill you.

Gabriella: *Faints.*

Franco: *Lays her down/closes the door/stays with her.*

Gabriella: *Wakes up.* Franco?

Franco: I'm right here.

Gabriella: *Sits up.* And how would you know that their going to kill me?

Franco: Because your mother knew.

Gabriella: Oh. And is she alive? Is my mother alive?

Franco: *Silence.*

Gabriella: She's not, is she?

Franco: *Shakes his head.* No. Caspian was going to tell you himself, but he's busy talking with Lucas.

Gabriella: *Gets up/tries to walk/becomes dizzy.* Is the whole room spinning?

Franco: *Catches her.* Gabby?!

Gabriella: *Looks at him/closes her eyes.*

Franco: *Lays her under the covers/pulls the quilt over her/leaves.*

High Lord Caspian: *Spots him.*

Franco: Caspian, she definitely hasn't eaten anything at all today.

High Lord Caspian: What?

Franco: She fainted on me two times.

High Lord Caspian: Lucas, could you wait here for a second?

Lucas: Yes.

High Lord Caspian: *Rushes off with him/checks for any demons/goes up the stairs/enters Gabriella's room.*

Franco: Is she okay?

High Lord Caspian: *Checks her temperature/picks her up.* She looks really pale, Franco.

Franco: How?

High Lord Caspian: Because she's got a raging fever.

Franco: She has?

High Lord Caspian: Yes. But if we hurry up, she'll soon be just fine once she's eaten.

Franco: True dat. Should I carry her?

High Lord Caspian: Sure.
