Lying on a firm, white bed with a white blanket covering her bruised body, Rose was still resting and unconscious from the evening before. There were bruises on her arms and legs. She suffered a rib fracture from being in the grasp of the monster that tried to devour her. Beside her, was the woman who was at the scene. She was waiting for Rose to wake up.

Her name was Rukia Kuchiki. She sat in the chair with her eyes closed and her arms crossed over her chest. In her thoughts, she was reliving last nights events. 'Hollows don't normally attack humans unless they have strong spiritual pressure,' she thought and sighed softly. This problem was getting harder and harder to solve the more she thought about it.

A soft groan filled the silent room and Rukia snapped opened her eyes. She saw Rose slowly opening her eyes, surprised that she was even awake right now.

"W-Where am I?" Rose spoke softly as she attempted to sit up. She almost cried out in pain. She held her right side and looked over at Rukia. "Who are you?"

"I'm Rukia. You are at the Kurosaki Clinic. Ichigo's father is treating your injuries." Rukia replied and helped Rose sit up.

"What happened?"

"You were involved in a pretty bad hit and run accident. Luckily, Ichigo and I were near by." Rukia smiled.

'She's lying,' Rose thought as she pulled away from Rukia and exhaled sharply due to the pain. Her body throbbed and felt sore all over. It really did feel like she was hit by a car.

"There was no car," Rose began as she looked at Rukia. "I know what I saw and what happened to me. It was a monster."

Rukia looked at her, the expression on her face now more serious as she leaned back against the chair. She was thinking for a moment. She honestly didn't know what more she could say to Rose.

"So what happened yesterday was true? What was that monster and why was it after me?" Rose asked and pleaded but Rukia was not giving her any answers. Since silence seemed to be the answer, Rose slowly started go get out of bed.

"Miss, you can't leave yet. You aren't we-"

"You aren't answering my questions! I'm not staying here with someone who won't tell me what is going on!" At this point, Rose was out of bed. Her legs were screaming at her to lay back down but she ignored the pain. She wobbled toward the door. Her head began to feel light and small flashes of light blurred her vision. She started to feel faint and her legs gave out as she opened the door.

A tall, orange haired man caught Rose in his arms as she collapsed.

"What the hell do you think your doing?" His raspy, deep voice said sternly as he picked Rose from off her feet and carried her back to bed.

To weak to fight him off, she gave in. The softness of the sheets and pillow felt amazing once again as she relaxed her body into the bed. Tears began to brew in Rose's eyes, "I just want to go home. I want to know what's going on with me and why that monster was trying to eat me?"

Pumpkin Head looked at Rose then back at Rukia. Rukia nodded and sighed softly. He pulled up a chair next to Rukia and watched Rose.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Lee Jang-Mi but you can call me Rose." She replied as she wiped her tears away. "What's yours Pumpkin Head?"

Rukia bit her lip to hide her chuckle and the male clenched his jaw to keep from snapping.

"Ichigo, Ichigo Kurosaki. Not Pumpkin head."

"Will you tell me what's going on now?"

"Yeah. It's a lot so brace yourself." He replied and looked at Rukia. Then Rukia began.

After about a two hour explanation, Rose just sat in bed looking at the two of them. "So, what attacked me yesterday was after my spiritual pressure? That thing is called a Hollow? And what Ichigo is and what you are are Soul Reapers who exercise those Hollows?"

Rukia nodded.

"Wow," She leaned back against the pillows, processing all the information she just took in. "If I have this spiritual pressure, what does that mean?"

"That I'm not sure of, Rose. I'm going to investigate that after you get healed up. Someone I know might have the answers."

All Rose could do was nod. Knowing that they were almost as clueless at her about this was somewhat comforting. Rose turned her gaze to Ichigo.

"How did you become a Soul Reaper?" She asked.

"Rukia stabbed me with her zanpaktuo and I gained my powers from her. Right now, she can't go into her soul reaper form so I have been taking her place."

Again, Rose nodded. "I see. Um, sorry for calling you Pumpkin head. Your hair is so orange. It was the first thing I thought of."

Rukia but her lips again to surpress her laughter. "I don't know. I think it's rather fitting for Ichigo."

Ichigo rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Whatever, Rukia. You better not start saying it."

Rukia chuckled and shrugged. "We'll see Ichigo."

Rose smiled at the interaction between the two. Her eyes began to feel heavy once again, sign her body was telling her to rest. Rukia had noticed and urged Ichigo to get up.

"Rest well Rose. Either Ichigo or myself will check on you." Rukia said as she pushed Ichigo out the room.

Rose nodded and watched the two leave the room.

"I guess he's cute." She smiled and muttered to herself as she fell asleep.
