The three vampires followed Malik out of the den and back into the ally ways where many vampires where skilfully hiding ready for Malik's signal. Kat tightly griped the wall opposite anticipating the sweet blood that would be filling her stomach. The group waited a good 30 minutes before the back ally ways filled with somewhat drunken people from the nearby bar who where busy kissing and talking on their phones. A sudden arm flick from Malik indicated the group of vampires to attack.

Quickly, Kat at the others jumped off the wall and staring in to the eyes of the breather making them fall in to an unconscious state flashing her fangs Kat Pierced in to the skin of the women and started sucking down hard leaving her victim on the brink of death in the alleyway a massive wave of chaos insured whilst the rest of the vampires attacked in the corner of her eyes Kat could see Malik signalling her to follow him. Kat hurried after him speed running further into the town centre they came across a large Ferris wheel which the decided to climb settling themselves on top of the highest point.

"So I don't think I've seen you around here before" Malik grinned.

"I just don't go this far into town" Kat protested wiping the blood of her face with her sleeves. "It's too far that I could not get home".

"Why do you have strict parents?" Malik smirked.

"No just one strict brother even though I'm older" Kat giggled. "I live at the school up on the hill" she added.

"I thought the Dracula's lived there?" Malik quizzed.

"We do" Kat replied. "Katherine Dracula but everyone calls me Kat" she continued to explained.

"Your highness" Malik joked bowing his head.

"Pack it in!" Kat snapped punching his arm.

"Hey I was joking" he replied. " So what's a vampire like you doing around here? He continued to quiz.

"Just hanging around with my friends I'm not like my family I long for excitement and adventure" she explain.

"There's not much adventure around here " Malik pointed out.

"Well no but at least I've learned something new tonight" Kat replied. "I never knew that vampires lived like this" she added.

"It's not like we had a choice when you are either a half-fang of been outcasts from your family" Malik explained.

The pair gazed into the night for several minutes taking in the sights of the city the streets lights reminded Kat of stars she could imagine the beauty it made quite a change from the dark dusty home she knew.

"Well I should be going now my friends will be wondering where I have gotten to" Kat began. "It was nice talking to someone new for a change" she continued quickly, getting up from the Ferris wheel.

"Sure come back anytime" Malik smirked.

"I may take you up on the offer" Kat grinned back jumping from the Ferris wheel.

Slowly, Kat walked towards the town edge that where her friends liked to hang out away from the loud noises the crowded city had to offer it was where they could mess around. Kat walked up to a set of benches where her three friends where sat laughing and giggling.

"Hey!" Kat shouted.

"There you are" Kyle smiled. "We wondered where you went" he continued. " But Jessica saw you leave with Malik.

"Yes I guess he wanted to get to know me" Kat explained.

"Yes he does rule the street around here" Ally agreed.

"So what are we doing now?" Kat asked.

"Nothing much we thought we could just hang" explained Jessica.

"Cool" Kat agreed.

"Oh we have something for you" Kyle interrupted pulling out a heart shaped box.

"Really nobody has ever got me something special before" smiled Kat.

"We all chipped in " Jessica explained.

Kat picked up the box out of Kyle's hand and slowly, opened it inside contained a heart shaped black and red jewel upon a chain Kat's undead heart leaped with joy. "This is wicked you guys" she gleamed.

"Here let me help you with it" Kyle insisted grabbing the necklace from Kat's hand.

Delicately, Kyle placed it over Kay's neck and slowly tied up the clasp. "Perfect it really suits you" Kyle grinned.

A few hours later Kat bid farewell to her friends and set off through the woods it was important that she reached home before the first break of sunlight she did not want to burn as it looked quite painful however she liked the way the dark forest made her feel calm and relaxed it took her a good 30 minutes to make her way to the big steal gates the first break of sunlight was streaming over the world kat thought it would be a good idea to sneak back through her window which she had left open.

Slowly, Kat transformed into a bat and flew up to her window zooming inside she landed on the floor and proceeded to transform back it was dead silent in the household which concerned Kat there was normally someone arguing. A few minutes there was a large knock on her door. "Come in" Kat instructed.

"Hey it just me" Vlad smiled walking into the room. "I came to check on you".

"Really?" questioned Kat raising her eyebrow.

"Of course your my sister I care about you" Vlad reassured moving closer to Kat.

"I know" Kat agreed smiling at Vlad. "It quiet around here" she pointed out.

"Well everyone is resting it been a hectic night" Vlad explained.

"I guess"kat agreed. "Well if you don't mind I would like to rest".

Vlad's eyes darted to the draft that was blowing through the window which stupidly Kat had left open upon her return she wondered what the brother would think she did not want to talk about last night. "Did you go out?" Vlad asked.

"Um yes" Kat replied. "I went out with my friends" she explained.

"Oh I hope you behaved" Vlad wondered.

"I did" Kat lied yawning. "I'll see you later" She smiled climbing into her coffin and slamming her lid close.
