One Tuesday morning In the master bedroom of the impressive mansion laid the blond saviour with her brunette wife. It was very early especially for the blond who loved her sleep more than anyone else in the house, yet she was the only one awake.
Emma put her face into her pillow to quieten the whine that escaped her as she shifted slowly trying to ease her discomfort without waking Regina. You see Emma was too proud to admit that this month her period was kicking her ass but she knows her wife would be there insisting she take medicine and sleep it off. Yes there's the other thing, the blond saviour was afraid of taking medicine. Therefore the blonde woman laid in bed curled up as much as she could with her wife's hold around her waist. Feeling a few moments of relief from her new position the sheriff looked towards the alarm clock that was informing her it was 5:45am. Great just great. In exactly 15 minutes her wife and son would get up to start the day which would normally be woken with well placed kiss and promises of just a few minutes of snuggle time with her wife. Accept Emma only had roughy 4 hours sleep.
The noise of the alarm shocked the blonde women from her thoughts. Deciding that staying still was the best option Emma felt her wife let go of her to switch the alarm off before rolling back towards the blonde gently stroking Emma's arm in what Regina thought was an attempt to rouse the normally sleeping woman from her sleep. Next the shower started signalling Henry was up and getting ready for the day. The blonde still played asleep because well it got her free kisses so why not. Her wife's kisses never failed to make her feel better. She got just that as Regina presses a few kisses to her shoulder,neck, check and finally ear where she whispered "Good morning my darling" the blonde answered with a small moan as rolled over to face her wife. Hoping the brunette hadn't heard the pain in the small moan the blonde leaned up to kiss her wife good morning before leavening the bed and completing there normal routine.
The elder brunette was the first to the kitchen so she set about her task of making enough pancakes to feed herself and both her loved ones. While in the middle of the task she was joined by her son who greeted her with a short "morning mom" then finally the blonde mother joined the duo after taking a few minutes to compose herself to hide the pain she was in. However the blond sheriff didn't think of her wife knowing her better than she knows herself sometimes, so her attempt at hiding it would have to be a good one. With a quick "morning kid" Emma pushed herself up onto the counter side earning herself a disapproving look from her wife. Breakfast was plated up but the blonde could eat much of it which gained the attention of the eldest brunette. Not only did Emma not eating get unwanted attention but so did the not so subtle arm holding her abdomen. And we'll Regina's a smart lady she put two and two together and formed a plan so the blonde wouldn't put herself through a day of pain.
As both mothers waved there son off from the front door the brunette woman knew she only had minutes to put her plan into action. And with a quick swipe of her wrist the front door was locked shut. "Gina what the hell unlock the door I have to go to the station and you have to go the office" Emma whined.
"No" the brunette sternly stated making sure to keep up a good posture. There was no way she was backing down. Regina loved her wife dearly but she wouldn't give in so the blonde child like women could put herself in pain all day by insisting it will go away soon and I'll be fine.
"What the hell Regina?" Emma vocalised but internally yelled at herself for not hiding this better.
Emma was broken out of her thoughts when the brunette started to rant with frustration.
"Emma do you seriously take me for a foul?! We have been married for a few years friends before that and enemy's before that. Do you think for a second I wouldn't know your in pain?! Or that I wouldn't care?! That's ridiculous. Right now your going back upstairs to bed to rest! And I'm calling in sick for you. No arguments Emma!"
"I'm fine Regina see I can stand up straight I'm fine" the blonde argued back. However the gods in the clouds were not on Emma's side today as a bout of pain worse than before hit Emma causing her to double over in pain. Ah shit Emma sighed. She knew she wasn't gonna when this.
"Fine Emma Swan you most definitely aren't fine now to bed with you... please I'll be up in a minute" the younger women sighed as a reply and slowly made her way to her bed.
Regina took her cell and called David at the station informing him Emma won't be working but she will be fine after some rest. Having dealt with that idiot although he was slightly better than snow the brunette decided to call Jen her assistant to inform her all meetings need rescheduling. Now both women were free the brunette started to move round the house with ease gathering all supplies she might need for her lovely wife who no doubt would be worse than Henry when he's sick. You see Emma dislikes medicine actually no she absolutely hates the stuff no matter what kind. With her pride as well getting in the way Regina knew she was in for a crazy day.
Having stalled enough the brunette finally opened the door to spot her Savior laid in bed asleep but on the queens side. Carefully sliding into the free side of the queen size bed Regina started to slowly wake the younger women.
"Gina you staying too ?" The younger women replied with a small yawn to the small shakes prods and kisses. Only having 4 hours of sleep really affected the women.
"Yes darling I'm staying now can you take your medicine for me? then we can cuddle and sleep. Is that okay?" No matter why Emma's in pain or ill her wife knew Emma craved comfort love ever other being but more so due to her rough upbringing. That's why when Emma gets like this the brunette knows she had to show Emma she's not going anywhere.
"Mmm Gina hugs now?" Clearly the younger women wasn't fully awake yet from the way she snuggled back into her wife's pillow and closed her eyes again.
"No darling medicine then hugs kisses and cuddles. No medicine no cuddles with Gina no snuggles with Gina either and most definitely no kisses for Emma" with and almost teenager like sigh the blonde heaved herself from her comfy position to swallow the two pearly white pills her wife was offering her and sipping the water on the bedside table while forcing herself not to gag on the pills. Pills taken Emma laid back down on her side of the bed while her wife cleaned away the left over water and put the pills out of sight.
The dip of the bed indicated to the once again drowsy blonde her wife had joined her once more. Regina gathered Emma in her arms and placed a small kiss to her forehead.
"Now you can have Gina hugs,cuddles, snuggles, kisses and of course some sleep. We will do whatever will help you darling. Okay?" A sleepy smile was drawn along the blondes face at her lovers words as she replied "mmmm snuggles Gina please"
"Of course my darling" was the reply the blonde got as they settled into a comfortable position. Emma's head resting on Regina's chest as Regina played with the blonde unruly curls. Sighs of contentment were all that was heard for a few minutes until the curiosity got the best of the elder women and she questioned out loud.
"Emma? Why didn't you tell me this morning you were in pain?"
"Didn't wanna bother you and you make me take medicine Gina I'm sorry" was the reply she got. Regina could hear the tiredness in Emma's voice and quite frankly wasn't expecting her to reply to Regina's question.
"Darling medicine will help you I know you do not like it but it's one of the best things for you right now and it's not a bother to look after you Emma Swan because I love u so damn much." Stated the dark haired women.
"Mmm love you my queen" was whispered back to the older women.
"As queen I say sleep Emma"
"Hm Kay"
The sounds of breathing were the only audible thing In the room until Emma said one last thing to her wife before drifting off and earning her another kiss to her forehead.
"Gina your the best medicine "
The slamming of the door downstairs scared the queen awake. Tilting her head towards the clock she noticed the time. They had been sleeping hours and now Henry was home from school and would come barging in the room to find his mom. Looking at her content sleeping wife she decided to text Henry informing him of the situation and telling him he can have a small snack and then go straight to do his homework. A few minutes later Regina's phone lit up with a thumbs up from her son. Deciding to let Emma sleep a little longer Regina laid there holding her beautiful wife and just thinking of how lucky she is to have her.
When the blonde groggily turned over to meet her wife she placed a kiss to her lips and whispered "thank you Gina" before snuggling back into the crook of her Gina's neck to enjoy just how loved she felt
