Training ground 7
At the moment naruto was in a training ground with his team and in truth he was not happy with them. First was his former crush Sakura Haruno and she could be described in three easy words. obsessed , useless and arrogent.
Obsessed because of her obsession towards Sasuke Uchiha, this leads to many other bad traits unbecoming to be shinobi.
useless because she's just very weak. she might have a strong mind but all her knowledge and peceptiveness that come with being book smart seems to have been suppressed by her fangirl tendencies.
arrogant because she was the kunoichi of the year and is book smart. This was boosted a thousand when she beat Hinata in a fight, a clan heir. So she thinks that she is strong.
Then the was Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto could happily say he didn't like the boy because of the air of arrogance that he radiated 100% of the time.
The only thing that he was unsure about was his sensei. The man was strict and Naruto just knew that he and his team will be ran to the ground by his training, and he was happy.
" ok team my name is Kakashi Hatake while most Sensei's would do introductions and then the genin test to determine whether you go back to the academy or what " he was interrupted by Sakura.
The pink haired girls voice was unnaturally high " WHAT YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO ME AND SASUKE-KUN" she shouts
Kakashi looks up from his book and his lone eye shows signs of annoyance " I can and I will if you interrupt me one more time " he says in a dangerously low tone.
This caused her to nod and shrink slightly" well before I was interrupted I was saying normally jonin would introduce their teams and the like. But since I dont wasn't to waste my time with learning names of people who I'm never gonna interact with, we are going to have the test first " says the jonin while pulling out 2 bells " the rules are simple , you have till noon to get one of these bells and the one who doesn't get a bell will be sent back to the academy."
The three genin all looked at each other and back at their sensei who looked up to the sky and breathing in " begin " he says and both Sasuke and Sakura jumping to the surrounding forests.
Kakashi let out a small sigh before looking at the genin wannabe " you know the test has started right " he says lazily.
Naruto who hadn't jump to hide he said " i would if I didn't have a plan and since I already have one why not try it instead of wasting time with something that won't work " .
Kakashi nodded in understanding to most it might seem rash but to Kakashi he could understand the logic in it. ' Naruto wants to or has created many plans and what's to check which one's will work and which ones won't ' he thinks and smiles a bit and removed his hand on his pockets and does the come on motion while saying " well attack then "
Naruto held out his right hand and in a flash a Katana appears . It was a normal Katana with a blue hilt and square guard with a white metal making up the blade. He got into a ready stance. " get ready kakashi-sensei " he says with a smile.
He took of running at chunin level speeds and Kakashi was mildly impressed when he saw this. he took out a kunai ready to defend. The approaching Naruto smirked when he was at striking distance he swung his sword horizontally ready to separate Kakashi in two the jonin blocked the attack with his kunai.
They had a battle of strength for a few seconds until Naruto shifted his blade slightly so that it glides down the kunai and going for the leg of Kakashi. The son of the white fang saw this and jumped back to avoid being relived of his leg.
When the sword hit the ground Naruto let it bounce off his hands and when it fell caught it is a reverse grip and thrust it forward to Kakashi's stomach.who substituted with a log and it got impaled.
Naruto was about to remove the sword when he received a kick to the face thanks to Kakashi. The kick sent him flying and crashing to the ground.Kakashi turned to Naruto's sword and saw it disappear in flash of light.
Naruto slowly stood up ' ok that hurt. now why he's a jonin ' thinks Naruto while removing a small migraine. He stood up and saw Kakashi just standing and cracking his nuckles.
" Ok Naruto your kenjustu skills are good and your speed is good and you could give chunin a run of their money with just those two things but let's see you taijustu " he says before rushing at Naruto.
The blond got in a defence stand that looked like a boxer stance. He crossed his arms and Kakashi's kick made him bury his feet on the ground. He pushed Kakashi off him and the jonin backflipped to avoid being countered.
The moment he landed Naruto was in front of his ready to throw a punch infused with his physical energy. Kakashi brought his forearm to block but his eyes widened when it connected with his arm. It wasn't as strong as Gai's punches but they were close to that level.
He was forced to block a kick to his side and he leashed out by grabbing the offending leg and lifted Naruto of his feet. He spun him a little and tried to slam him on the ground but the blond seemed to have planned for that by putting his palms forward and landing on them and leashed but twisting and his legs connected with his bicep and thigh.
Due to the impact and the Amount of physical energy Naruto put in those kicks Kakashi was thrown off his feet but the jonin caught himself before he could crash to the ground.
Naruto was about to attack when a voice sounded behind him " out of the way dope Fire style : great fireball justu ". Naruto turned and saw the fire ball heading his way and cursed.
A idea popped in his head and he ran towards Kakashi with the death ball behind him. Kakashi was shocked and scared for the genin. " What are you doing ?" he shouts.
Naruto smirked and when he was a few feet from Kakashi he dived forward and sweeped Kakashi's feet and kicked his toward the ball of fire behind him and used substitution to escape the attack.
Sakura who was in the bushes saw Kakashi fly to the fire ball and it made contact and exploded." KAKASHI- SENSEI " she screamed in fear
Sasuke on the clearing smirked at taking out a jonin ' no one can match the might of the Uchiha ' he thinks.
Naruto on the trees saw the explosion and created 8 clones and looked at them " ok guys 2 of you go to Sakura and make sure she doesn't get hurt . 2 of you will do the same with Sasuke and if you can get them to work with us if not protect them from the shadows . The rest of you will help me with."
Sasuke still on the same spot when he launched his attack and was admiring the scene. But was confused when all that was there when the flame dissipated was a burnt log. ' where is he not left, right ,behind , above ?' he asks himself. But he did get an answer when the ground under him shifted and a pair of arms came out and tried to grab his ankles.
He was saved when he was tackled by a black and yellow blur. he saw that it was Naruto and he was looking at the arms and soon followed by the rest of the jonins body.
" Naruto? " Kakashi asked confused slightly but the smirk on the blonds face unnerved him. He was thrown for a loop when it made a half ram sign. He looked at the ground and next to the whole he came from the was an explosive tag. ' shit ' was the only thought that came to his mind before it went off.
The blond then turned to the Uchiha with a scowl " never do that again " he says in a cold tone
Sasuke snarled at him " don't tell me what to do dope " while getting up and walking off to the surrounding forest.
The blond just sighed and thought ' I won't even try and get him to understand lets hope bosses plan will help us pass ' before following Sasuke.
Sakura in the bushes she was hiding under looked for Kakashi. " where is he ?"
A voice behind her asked " yeah I don't see him "
This made her jump in fear and turned to see who it was and to her shock the was no one. That was until she heard her Sasuke's voice call her weakly " Sasuke-kun " she said while turning and what she saw was just too much for here to handle. So she screamed and fell unconscious.
Kakashi who was watching the girl from the tree just shook his head and said " and she's supposed to be the best female in the academy. What has that thing become.' he thought to himself in disappointment.
Then something caught his attention and that was the blond blur that took Sakura way ' guess he's figured it out but will the others work with him ' he asks himself before looking up " 2 hours left " he mutters and walks off.
1 hour 30 minutes timeskip
For the last one hour 30 minutes the wasn't much that happened. Sasuke would try and get the bells and would be beat down easily but when Kakashi would go for the final blow a Naruto clone would jump in and save him.
Similarly when Kakashi attacked Sakura a Naruto clone would protect her from being attacked.
Now Kakashi was in the same clearing that they started the exams and was reading his book calmly when a thud alarmed him of a presence. He looked up and saw Naruto staring at him calmly.
The blond took a deep breath and started to channel physical energy through out his body and could feel all his muscles harden and let out that breath . This was before he disappeared from Kakashi's view using Flash step.
Kakashi saw the blond ready himself and saw the small increase in weight of the blond, and what happened next shocked him to his core. ' he dis...' he couldn't finish his thoughts when Naruto appeared with his fist buried in him stomach before throwing a barrage of flash step powered punches and kicks.
In under a minute 100 punched and kick were landed on Kakashi's torso before the blond completed the barrage with a kick to the chest that sent Kakashi sliding on the ground.
' ok he's dangerous what was that ' thinks Kakashi while falling to one knee. This was a mistake because four Naruto cloned grabbed him on each of his limbs.
He started to remove the clones from him . Meanwhile naruto was breathing heavily and chanting. When Kakashi finished he looked at Naruto and was a second too late.
" Hado# 1 : sho " says the blond when Kakashi looked at him and a small white light appeared in his index finger before disappearing. Kakashi felt something hit him and it pushed him back , he could stop just then multiple chains wrapped around his legs, arms , torso and neck. They were tight enough to restrain but not cause damage.
"Uzumaki sealing art : hell's restraining chains complete " says Naruto while finishing his hand signs and holding a ram seal.
On the trees watching Sasuke and Sakura were shocked. Naruto the dope of their class just defeated Kakashi a jonin.
Their thoughts of Naruto were brought to a halt when he didn't get the bells. Moving fast they ran and took the bells from Kakashi's belt.
Naruto looked at his teammates do this smiles and thinks ' leave it to the Uchiha to steal good thing I was hoping for it and it seems Sakura's obsession with him caused her to follow his example ' he thinks and looks at Kakashi who was still retained ' wow he's strong I can't hold this for long and augmenting my strength and using flesh step at the same time is really hard I have to train more to master it ' thinks Naruto before smiling at the jonin and his eyes drifting closed.
time skip
30 minutes after he fell unconscious, Naruto finally wakes up and found himself laying on the ground. " so you awake " he he hears the voice from Kakashi how was still reading his book.
" What happened" asks Naruto rubbing his head.
" well after to trapped me with that fuinjustu Sasuke and Sakura got the bells and you feel unconscious " he answers
" and after that ?" asks Naruto looking the jonin.
" well when they got the bells they thought the test was over so I attacked and reclaimed the bells and knocked them out " he says motioning to the motionless forms of Sakura and Sasuke tied to the posts. " and the test just ended a minute ago " finishes Kakashi.
Naruto just sighs. Seeing the defected look on his face Kakashi smile and says " let's wake them up " and they just that.
After waking the two up Kakashi looks at the team " Well looks like you guys fail " he says.
Sasuke spoke first " That's not possible I got a bell " he says trying get it but to his shock he was tied up.
" Yeah I got one too " says Sakura and trying to move but also found out that she's also tied up.
" WHY AM I TIED UP " shouts Sakura in outrage.
" because you didn't do anything " says Kakashi while taking out tape and taping her mouth " good now you'll remain quite while I fail you and Sasuke and take Naruto here as my apprentice." he says and almost laughed at the looks he got.
Sakura was outraged and couldn't speak because her mouth was covered, but Sasuke did have that problem " WHAT YOU CAN'T DO THAT " he shouts.
" well your right because you guys pass " Kakashi answers.
Naruto was just confused by the lazy jonins words " wait do we pass or fail ?" asks Naruto.
" well you fail but because of Naruto you pass" answers Kakashi " the reason why you pass is because Naruto technically did show some form of teamwork which was the true test to see whether you would put your ego ,past and pride aside and work together to defeat me. Naruto all through the test was protecting you two and made sure your not hurt much. " says Kakashi before he dropped a stone with many names on it " this is the memorial stone of konoha's hero's. People that died to secure that we all coule live another day." says Kakashi " they all worked in teams and valued it and the will of fire that symbolises it" he finishes.
It had been a few minutes since Kakashi dismissed them and Naruto was walking back home. He wanted to thank Mito for teaching him fuinjustu, He could have used a bakudo technique but he wasn't sure whether it would hold or even hold the jonin for long.
Plus he was going to keep him spells a secret at the moment. He arrived at the gate to him home compound and when he did enter he walked to the clan head house. After a few twists and turns the house came to view and what he saw confused him.
It was the ever beautiful Mito and for some reason he blushed when he saw her. He was confused by the 8 year old girl sitting with her on the porch. The seemed to have been crying and Mito was rubbing her head that was on her lap.
He walked to them and smiled before speaking " Hello Mito-chan "
The female smiles back and greets him " hello Naruto-kun, how was your team meeting ?" she asks.
" well turns out our sensei did want to waste time so he told us that we were to take a test, the real graduation test that we passed and now I'm finally a real ninja" he says with a megawatt grin.
" Good for you " she says with a smile. " oh and this is Hanabi she'll be joining your clan from today" says the Uzumaki female .
Naruto looked at the girl who was a sleep and with tear markings on her cheeks " oh ok " he answers.

and Kakashi's personality is slightly different from cannon and that will be explained in the next few chapter
