I'm Your Girl

A girls party gathers around as Sharpay, Gabrielle, Taylor, Ally, Mal, and Evie all talk about how they are the luckiest girl in the world.

"I mean, Doug is like, he's no prince charming, but he's...charming in a different way." Evie said.

"Is ben like that? Being a real prince." Ally asked.

"Ah, no." Mal gave the girls disappointment. "He's a little goofy, which I can deal with being the daughter and leader of most the children of the lost isle, but, he gives me a fresh feeling of...being myself. Like I had to put up an act while being on the Isle." Mal said.

"So, Ben is more charming, in an emotional state of mind way?" Trish appeared being late as usual.

"Trish." Ally sighed.

"I guess you could say it like that." Mal said.

"Is that how Austin is to you?" Sharpay asked.

Ally couldn't come up with the words, so Trish had to step in. "Not really. He was just annoying and butted in on her working, but he came through and they both found each other in a whole new light." Trish said.

"Cute." Taylor said. "I don't even think Chad nore Troy could ever be as charming as your men are girls." She said.

"Please." Sharpay spoke up flipping her hair back. "Zeke is nothing more than a boy who loves baking sweet things."

"And your the girl who'll eat them all up and become fat." Taylor laughed.

Sharpay screamed a little, but it only fueled more laughter from the other girls.

"Ben and Austin sound like Troy in a few ways. They care about the people around them and what their friends think. He also cares about strangers even if he may not know them. Troy has..."

"A heart of gold!" All the girls said with a big grin.

Gabrielle was the most predictable and most complicated of the group.

"Wha?! I didn't say that. And if that's what you think, what about Austin or Ben?" She pointed out.

"Austin is no heart of gold, but he takes the hearts of girls who do have those." Trish laughed.

Ally hid her face with her hat to not show her beet red face.

Mal wasn't affected as she didn't get it. "Ben's not like that." Was all she said on the matter.

The girls talked while the guys overheard a lot of their conversations.

Ryan didn't care as his sister was just getting attention. "Bet your happy about that huh Troy?" He said.

Troy didn't know what exactly to say.

Austin was laughing with his best friend off in the distance as they knew what Ally thought.

Ben sighed. "I have no heart of gold?"

"Nah man!" Jay said.

"You, have a heart of a beast!" Carlos said.

Ben didn't feel any better, but maybe it's just how Mal saw him. Not as a prince but as a normal person. Kind of like how his parents saw each other.

"What are you guys doing?" Taylor had opened the window and saw all of them outside. She wasn't happy.

"Have you guys been spying on us?!" Evie yelled.

Ally grew angrier and sent Austin a text. He'd be staying at his own place tonight.

"Aw man!"

"Hey Ben. Why are you here? Did Jay and Carlos bring you up to this?" She asked.

"I'm not a golden heart person?" He asked.

Mal rolled her eyes. If you were, I'd never have gotten you. To me, your just Ben. The perfect dream I could ever have." She said with a small smile.

Ben smiled back as he remembered how they really first met. In a dream.
