Sonic: I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog! Was enjoying a little vacation with Tails when Eggman Nega attacked Solkaria and kidnapped Princess Elise. He only wanted her Chaos Emerald, and plans to collect the others to complete his Solaris Project. Don't know everything 'bout his plans, or even if he's working with Eggman, but I do know it's up to us to find the emeralds first before he does!

BGM-Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4) OST-City of Hope

During the evening at New Vale City, an interdimensional portal opens atop of a rooftop. Leaping out of the portal is a young webslinger in a black and red costume, launching a webline onto a building and swinging through the city. His name is Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man from an alternate dimension, and he appears to be in a rush to somewhere. "OH man! Can't believe I'm so late!" Miles said, blaming himself for something. While swinging, he takes out his phone to call Peter Parker and puts it next to his ear, "Peter! I am SO sorry I'm running late to training, but there are good reasons! I had to catch up on homework, buy my mom some eggs, stop a gang war from destroying the city, among a few other things-!"

'Miles, MILES, it's okay.' Peter assured him, chuckling, 'Believe me when I say that I went through the EXACT same thing back when I was in high school.'

"Man, holding down a double life is rough. How do you do it?" Miles asked.

'Still figuring that out myself. There's no "right way" to be a hero. Trust your instincts. Do what you can, when you can, and try to leave enough time to enjoy life.' Peter advised his student. 'Meet me in my apartment. I'll leave the window open.'

"Okay. See ya there." Miles replied, hanging up the call.

Soon after, Miles swings towards Peter's apartment and spots the open window. He swiftly zips through the window and enters the living room, where he spots Peter carrying a tray with hot cocoa and medicine and hears a loud sneeze from Yang, who's lying on the couch and wrapped with a blanket.

"Hey Miles." Peter greets his protégé.

"Hey Pete. Hey Yang." Miles greeted the married couple.

Yang sits up from the couch with a smile at the young webslinger, "Heya Miles. Come and give Big Sis Yang a…uh…uh…ACHOO!" She sneezes loudly before wiping her nose.

"Gesundheit." Miles says to her before turning to Pete, "Is she okay?"

"Oh, she's fine. She just got a cold yesterday while visiting Ice Paradise. Been taking care of her all day, so you're not the only one running late to training." Peter replied while placing the tray on the coffee table near his wife, to help her feel better.

"Should feel better by Valentine's Day…" Yang sniffs before taking her medicine.

"That's pretty soon, isn't it?" Miles realized.

"Have a girlfriend yet? If you have any problems, just talk to me." Peter offers his assistance on any girl problems to his protégé.

"I don't think you're the best person to talk to about girl problems." Miles quipped.

"Very true. But I am married, right?" Peter snarked.

"Somehow." Miles nodded.

"I can arrange a date with Ruby if you want. You have a crush on her." Yang offered, drinking her hot cocoa.

"I will confirm nor deny that I have a crush on your sister." Miles quips nervously, "And isn't she a few years older than me and dating someone else?"

"You both act the same age and still haven't found that special someone." Yang snarks before sneezing again, "ACHOO! Ugh. I hate being sick." She groaned as she lies down on her couch.

"I don't have to train Miles tonight if you're still feeling under the weather. I can train him another day." Peter says sincerely, being concerned for her well-being.

"No, no. It's fine. I'm just gonna take a snooze. You two go swing around in your pajamas. Just be back by curfew." Yang quipped.

"You have a curfew? Now I know who wears the pants in the family." Miles joked.

"And quips like that are gonna make you a great Spider-Man, and get you grounded." Peter snarked, "Let me get dressed and we can get started." He said to his protégé.

BGM-Ultimate Spider-Man (Game) OST-Spidey Rhino Race

Moments later, Peter is dressed in his Spider-Man costume and meets with his protégé atop of his apartment building. "All right. So, what are you teaching me tonight?" Miles eagerly asks his mentor.

"Let's see…" Peter ponders, "We've already went through the fundamentals of being Spider-Man multiple times. Y'know, great power, great responsibility, all that jazz. Your combat and traversal skills still need some work. Let's go over traversal. Make it a race to the Metropolitan Museum of Art."

"Sweet!" Miles replied excitedly.

Both Spiders stand side-by-side while facing the direction towards the museum. "Ready…Set…GO!" Spidey shouted, as both webslingers shoot weblines and immediately swing off the rooftop and through the city, performing aerial tricks in the process. Peter is already in the lead thanks to his experience, but Miles isn't too far behind. "Remember: To gain speed while swinging, jump at the TOP of the swing!" He advises his mentee.

"Like this?!" Miles jumps at the top of his swing, gaining the speed to catch up with his mentor.

"Yeah, like that! Nice! Now replicate my Point Launch!" Peter zips to a point and jumps right before landing to launch himself forward, gaining additional speed as a result. Miles complies, performing his own Point Launch that helps him slightly overtake Peter in the race.

"Booyah! In the lead!" Miles boasted.

"Not too shabby! Now do you have any tricks you want to show off?" Peter asked.

"Just a little Web Rush maneuver I've been practicing!" Miles zips towards a streetlight, swiftly grabbing and leaping off it towards the wall of a skyscraper to run along briefly, before leaping to run atop a billboard and lunging high into the air for a little freefalling, then swings some more, "WOOOOOHOHOOO! LET'S GO!"

Peter chuckles to see his protégé having fun, "Yeah, it's thrilling! But now it's time I get serious!" He decides to swing at his full speed and zips ahead of Miles.

The twin webslingers go full speed with their web-swinging skills, competing against each other with high-speed web zips and wall leaps. Moments later, they arrived on a rooftop near the museum, with Peter beating Miles by a few seconds.

"Aw man. And I was SO close this time." Miles remarks on his loss.

"Which means you're getting faster. Good swinging. Just need to work on your wall cornering." Peter compliments him, sharing a high-five. "Hmmm?" Suddenly, he notices a group of thugs breaking into the museum from a backdoor, "Oh boy. We got some thugs visiting the museum after hours. Y'know what? This is a good time to practice your combat skills. Specifically, stealth. How do you handle your stealth missions?" He asks his protégé.

"As quietly as I can, obviously. When I'm on the wall, web them to the wall. And when I'm on the ceiling, web them to the ceiling. And use my camouflage if I'm in a pinch." Miles replied.

"Good. Don't rely too heavily on your camouflage. Mix things up. Keep your enemies guessing. Off-balance. Don't make yourself too predictable. Now let's go clean house." Peter advised, with him and Miles chasing the criminals into the museum.

Inside the museum, the Spider-Men crawl to the ceiling to spy on the thugs. The guards were mysterious tranquilized, and the thugs are trying to steal artifacts from the Lost Civilization exhibit. "Why did the boss hire us to steal this junk in the first place?" A thug asked while trying to take down an Chronoan painting off the wall.

"Who cares, as long as we're getting paid." The thug leader retorted.

"I care. Dude shows up out of nowhere in his aircraft and threatened to kill us if we didn't rob just this exhibit." A thug replied while stealing ancient handhelds.

"So if you don't want to die, stop complaining and steal the crap before someone like Spider-Man shows up!" The thug leader retorted.

"Too late. There's two of us now." Peter whispered.

The experienced webslinger, Peter, webs two thugs, quietly pulling them to a wall and pinning them silent. The newbie webhead, Miles, briefly uses his camouflage and descends from his webline on the ceiling behind a thug, taps his shoulder, getting him to turn around in confusion before webbing and pulling him upward, pinning him to the ceiling. "Night time, bro." Miles whispered.

From a top corner of the room, Miles spots another thug that he knows he can takedown silently. But when he latches his webbing on him, it was at the same time Peter latches his webbing on him from the other side. "Hey, he's mine. I webbed him first." Miles quietly argues with his mentor through their comms.

"No, I webbed him first." Peter argued.

BGM-Spider-Man 2 (Game) OST-Suctioncups

"Huh? Spider-Man's here?" A thug noticed the webslinger on the wall during their arguing.

"And there's another here too!" Another thug spotted Miles.

Some of the thugs whip out their guns and start shooting at the webheads, as they jump off the walls and easily dodge their bullets. "Guess our stealth action need some work. But I'm confident we can excel delivering a straight beatdown!" Peter quips, knocking down a goon with a web-strike. He swiftly uses his legsweep to trip up a goon, then knocks him into the air with a backflip kick, then zipping and smacking another goon to a wall before bouncing back to swiftly knock down the goon that he kicked into the air seconds earlier.

Miles swings to the upper level of the museum and quips, "Remember: Break it, you buy it!" while immobilizing a group of thugs with sticky webbing. He swing kicks into two thugs, launching them into the air before slamming himself back onto the crowd, knocking them down.

"You don't strike me as a patron of the Arts material." Spidey uppercuts a thug into the air, teaming up with Miles as he zips near the flung thug and uses his webbing to slam him down.

"None of them look like good material. Time to wrap this up." Miles quips, spinning out cones of webbing to bind their remaining enemies, then roughly yanks them towards Peter, who delivers a finishing spinkick that knocks them out cold.

Thanks to their amazing teamwork, the Spider-Men defeated the thugs that nearly stole Chronoan artifacts. The spider-duo glance at the unconscious criminals, with Peter quipping, "This may not be art, but, I like it."

"Why were these thugs robbing this exhibit?" Miles wondered.

Peter says, "From what I learned recently about the Chronoans, is that their technology is more advanced than our modern science. They've even mastered technology that can manipulate time itself. Doubt these morons knew about that and just wanted to make a high profit. At least glad that the OOPArt is…" He turns to look at the display case holding the OOPArt, the Chronoblade, but to his shock, it had been stolen, "GONE?"

BGM-Spider-Man 2 (Game) OST-Black Cat Chase (Part 3)

"Hehehe…" chuckled a familiar female feline that startles the spiders. They look up and spot the sexy cat burglar, Black Cat, sitting on a guard rail at the upper floor and holding the OOPArt in her hand. "Nice moves you showed off. Glad to see marriage hasn't slowed you down one bit." She smiled.

"Black Cat…Are these guys yours?" Peter recognized his ex-girlfriend, gesturing to the unconscious thugs.

"Heh. Please." Felicia quips, then runs out of the museum.

"Felicia!" Spidey reaches out for her to stop, but she ignores him, so he simply web zips to the upper floor and chases her outside.

"Hey, wait up!" Miles shouted, web-zipping to catch up with his mentor and the cat thief. The young webslinger quickly catches up with his mentor, as both of them are pursuing Black Cat. "So is chasing your ex-girlfriend part of my training?" He asks while leaping from rooftop to rooftop with Peter.

"It is now. You may never know when you'll get a surprise lesson from Black Cat." Peter quipped.

"Try to keep up, kid, so Professor Black Cat can teach you the rules of cat and mouse." Felicia joked, leaping high into the air and uses her grappling hook to swing through the city.

"Are you a better teacher than you are cat thief?" Miles snarked while web-swinging alongside Peter.

"Better prof than Old Spider." Felicia jumps off her grappling hook towards a skyscraper, clinging onto the wall with her claws and runs towards the rooftop.

"I am NOT old!" Peter quips, clinging onto the skyscraper himself and pursuing his ex with fast wall jumps, "And also, why are you stealing the OOPArt? That sword is dangerous and can theoretically control time, if you want to know."

"I see. Well, I'm certain the person that hired me has no idea about that power." Felicia quips, reaching the rooftop only to immediately skydive right off of it.

"Who hired you?" Peter asked, chasing her through freefall.

"Not a chance, Spider…A professional never reveals their sources." Felicia snarked, landing on another rooftop to run along. As she gets ready to swing again, she throws an EMP bomb at the webheads to short out their web-shooters, causing them to crash to the sidewalk when they tried to web swing.

"She shorted out our web-shooters with an EMP!" Miles notes while running to desperately keep up with the cat burglar.

"Guess we're doing this the old-fashioned way!" Peter shows off a display of acrobatics and agility, moving through the neighborhood and parkouring off the walls of buildings with grace and speed, nearing the swinging Black Cat.

"Got a better idea!" Miles leaps onto a power line, grinding on it using his bio-electric powers to his advantage to gain a massive speed boost towards Felicia, much to her surprise.

"Great thinking, kid! Once more, you're making me envy your powers!" Peter quipped, complimenting his creative usage of his powers.

While grinding, Miles charges bio-electricity in his fist and blasts it, unleashing a Venom Beam that knocks Felicia off the air. Just then, Peter's web-shooters rebooted in time for him to zip into the air and tackle his ex-girlfriend to the nearest rooftop, taking away the OOPArt from her.

Black Cat pants in exhaustion, standing up as Miles lands on the rooftop next to Peter. "Not bad. You two make quite a team. Reminds me of the old days between us, Spider." She faced her ex-boyfriend.

"We still have those days, Felicia, when you're not stealing priceless artifacts. So are you going to tell me who hired you to steal the OOPArt?" Peter asked.

"Fine. All I know that he goes by the name 'Nega'. That's it." Felicia replied.

"As in Mister Negative?" Peter guessed.

Felicia shakes her head, "Not him. Would've recognized his voice."

"Then, who is this Nega?" Peter wondered.

"ME!" shouted an unfamiliar enemy to the trio.

BGM-Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) OST-Theme of Dr. Eggman

Suddenly, Dr. Eggman Nega descends from the sky on his Egg Mobile. And behind the mad doctor is a giant flying mech with no legs that is called the Egg King. Miles gasps in shock, "Is that Doctor Eggman?"

"Do not insult me, child. I go by the name Doctor Eggman NEGA!" Nega grinned evilly.

"YOU'RE Nega? I didn't know Eggman had a twin!" Black Cat retorted, as she is surprised to have been tricked by Eggman's doppelganger.

"I think I've heard about this guy before. You were the one who hired those thugs to cover for Black Cat at the museum. Why did you hire them to steal the OOPArt?" Spidey asked the doctor.

"To be discreet. And now that Black Cat has delivered the Chronoblade to me, she has outlived her usefulness." Nega proclaimed, closing the cockpit of his Egg Mobile as it inserts itself as the head of the Egg King.

Black Cat growls angrily while popping out her deadly claws, "I don't like being used, doc. You should never get on a cat's bad side!"

BGM-Sonic Advance 3 OST-Eggman Attacks

The Egg King slams both of its fists onto the rooftop where the heroes are standing. The trio quickly jump towards another rooftop just as the mech demolishes the previous one. "Take this!" He punches from the side of the rooftop, sending out various shockwaves at the heroes.

"No thanks. Already ate eggs this morning. And unlike you, those were good, and quite delicious." quipped Spider-Man, dodging the shockwaves alongside his friends and sticking his fist onto the roof with webbing.

Nega grunts, "The Legendary Spider-Man. History says your jokes are annoying. On par with that blue hedgehog."

"On par? I SURPASS Sonic in jokes, quips, snark, and sass. I'm a faster talker than he is a runner." Spidey snarks, delivering a quick web-strike to his cockpit and bounces off of it. Black Cat runs up the webbed arm towards the cockpit, tearing into it with her vicious claw strikes. Nega tries to shake her off, but fails as Miles lunges forward to deliver a powerful Venom Punch to his cockpit, knocking back the robot and freeing him from the webbing.

"Then I hope you are a faster healer too!" Nega retorted, ruthlessly smacking the heroic trio through several buildings in the neighborhood until they crashed onto another rooftop. "Get ready to be schooled!" He flies towards them for another deadly slam attack.

"It's the weekend. I hate doing homework during weekends." Miles quips, quickly jumping away from his slam attack alongside Peter and Felicia.

Nega then summons cube-like objects at the arena that traps the heroes within an electrical barrier. "He's got us trapped in a cage!" Felicia noted.

Miles tries to break the barrier with a Venom Punch, but was violently repelled to the ground. "Can't break us free, even with a Venom Blast. Maybe I should try the Mega kind?" He suggests using his Mega Venom Blast to free themselves.

"And get us killed? No way!" Peter retorted.

"We're about to get killed anyway!" Black Cat shouted, pointing at the Egg King charging a powerful mouth laser that's pointing at them.

"Surrender the Chronoblade to me and I will spare your lives!" Nega proposed.

Peter takes a moment to look at the OOPArt in his hand, which seems to give him an idea. He clenches tightly on the ancient sword and quips, "You want it? Let me give it to you!" Suddenly, the OOPArt activates itself and glows a mysterious blue energy. Without realizing it at first, Spider-Man slices the barrier with the activated relic, easily disabling it while unleashing a wave of energy that severely wounds the Egg King, knocking it back and stopping his attack.

"What the…?" Peter stares at the OOPArt, in shock that he somehow unlocked its power.

"We're free! But, uh, how did you do that?" Miles asked him.

"Honestly? I have no idea. Thought this thing was too old to work." Peter replied.

BGM-Sonic Rush OST-After the Fight

"Impossible! You've unlocked the OOPArt's power?" Nega growls angrily, "Seems that I have underestimated you, Spider-Man. It would seem that I have to retrieve that relic another day." He says while preparing to retreat the premises.

"Don't let him get away!" Black Cat tells the webhead.

"I won't! If this thing can really control time, then maybe I can freeze him in time! TIME STOP!" Peter points the Chronoblade at the fleeing Egg King, unleashing an energy that temporarily freezes it in time. "All right! Let's see what else this thing can do!" He then lunges at the mech and stabs it through the back, unleashing a powerful burst of quantum energy that utterly obliterates the mech into tiny pieces.

"WHAA! YOU'LL REGRET THIS!" Nega furiously yells out his vengeance while the Egg Mobile flies into the distance.

Peter lands next to his friends and angrily snaps his fingers, "Damn it! I let him get away! Not used to wielding this kind of power. At least he can't terrorize the city anymore with his robot."

BGM-Sonic Rush OST-Enemy or Friend

But at that moment, Peter makes eye contact with Agent Venom, who suddenly lands in front of the trio on the rooftop. "What?!" Peter responded in surprise by his sudden appearance.

"Damn! I lost track of him again!" Venom looks at Spider-Man, "Don't blame yourself, Spidey. You did your best. I'LL find him for you!" He swings away while Peter's group looks at him.

"Spider, was that…?" Felicia said.

"Different look, but…yeah. That was Venom! But I thought he was dead." Spidey recognized his old nemesis.

"Venom?! He looked different from the one I knew!" Miles retorted.

"What the heck is going on? First there's a new Eggman, and now a new Venom. And why is the OOPArt so important all of a sudden?" Peter wondered.

"You tell me. I was simply tricked to steal it." Felicia quipped.

"It's too dangerous to leave it at the museum. I should take it to Avengers Tower. Analyze it further and learn more about Nega's plans. And find out who this new Venom is." Peter decided, unknowingly joining Sonic's war against Eggman Nega.

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-2-Player Select

KFX Here: Miles Morales is joining the story as Peter's partner, just like how Tails is Sonic's partner for his portion of the story. A brotherly dynamic for both teams. I should also mention that the "Grand Egg Imperial" that appeared in the recent chapter, "A Chaotic Day", is based on the same ship that appeared in Sonic X.

Nexus240: OOPArts weren't invented for Megaman Starforce. They are actual things in real life. But I was inspired by Megaman Starforce with the idea to have an OOPArt (also known as the Chronoblade) in this story.
