Hi people :)
This is my first ever fic, I really hope you'll like it!
Please review, even if you didn't like it! I'd love some feedback!
Summary: Samantha Ross-Davis was always a kind, funny, nice and overall average girl. Her daughter, though, isn't so normal.
Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Harry Potter.
Chapter One: A Strange Encounter
It was a cold evening, maybe even one of the coldest the small town has experienced. The cold rain and snow covered every corner and inch of the quiet street.
The street was mostly empty because of the late hour.
"Mom! Mom! Can I go out now?" Called a girl suddenly, clinging excitedly to the living room's window. "The storm's weakened a bit.."
"No, Lily sweetheart" Ginny Potter's figure came closer to hug her freezing 11-year-old daughter. "We'll go out tomorrow, when we drive you and your brothers to King's Cross."
Meanwhile, her older brother sat nervously in his room.
Tomorrow would be Albus' first day of his third year at Hogwarts, and he had a bad feeling about this year.
It wasn't that he was nervous or didn't want to go.
He didn't particularly love Hogwarts, because it meant he had to leave his parents and house for a few months. He didn't have many friends there, just Scorpius Malfoy, but it wasn't that.
He just had a bad feeling about this year. He couldn't really explain it, not even to himself. It was like every instinct of his body was telling him that he shouldn't go, that something bad would happen.
"Stop it." Albus quietly scolded himself. "You know nothing will happen. You're just nervous!"
"What'd you say?"
The green-eyed teen almost jumped in surprise. He was so deep in his thoughts, he didn't even notice his cousin Rose entering his room.
"Al? You alright?" She asked quietly, noticing his embarrassed expression.
When Albus just nodded, unable to think after her sudden entrance, she continued, "Aunt Ginny asked me to call you, dinner's ready."
"Oh." Albus took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "Okay, I'm coming."
'Don't act weird' he mentally warned himself, 'I don't want to worry anyone with this… feeling'
He guessed he could call it a feeling.
They walked in silence, Rose threw worried looks at him every few seconds. She could feel something was wrong.
They went through the hallway, down the stairs, and as they got closer to the Potter's large wooden dinner table they started hearing some voices.
"Come on! Do you really think that's necessary, Gin?" Asked His Father, Harry Potter's annoyed voice.
"They deserve to know!" Came his wife's angry response. "You know I have to write the full truth, when it happens!"
Albus quietly sat down with Rose, next to his older brother who smirked tiredly at him. As he started loading food onto his plate, James suddenly muttered in a low voice, "don't even ask."
"Let me guess, another former Death Eater got caught?" Albus whispered back sarcastically while cutting his chicken.
"Dunno." James shrugged, visibly bored.
They spent the rest of the dinner listening to the couple's argument, until Harry suddenly turned to look at the teens, clearly wanting to change the subject.
"So, James, how was the game today?"
"It was fine, dad. We didn't win, but that's probably because Albus was on our team." James, visibly happy about the change of subject, was quick to respond, ignoring his brother's annoyed "hey!".
Harry smirked. Ginny started to say "Maybe you shouldn't-" but Albus couldn't hear the rest, as a sudden pain started in his forehead, his vision slowly becoming blurry.
He could faintly hear his dad shaking him, constantly yelling his name in concern, or his mom's loud heartbeats as she quickly hugged him. But after a few moments, "Al!" Was all he could hear before he completely passed out.
After what felt like an eternity of complete darkness, he started to feel that throbbing headache again. He could feel his body!
Then he noticed his eyes were closed, so he slowly opened them, feeling weak.
'Where am I?' He anxiously thought. He couldn't see anything, and all he could feel was a hard ground. Albus started to panic.
"Mum? DAD?!" he called to the darkness, but there was no answer.
"JAMES!"
Just when Albus almost gave up, he suddenly saw a blinding bright light coming from somewhere behind him.
"H-hello?!" he nervously yelled, trying to locate the source of it. "Can anyone hear me?"
The light got stronger, and suddenly Albus could see a boy's face in front of him. The boy looked around his age, maybe a few years younger or older. He had very tidy, sandy-colored hair and dark blue eyes.
"Who-who are you? What do you want?"
The boy surveyed him curiously, making Albus uncomfortable.
The boy chuckled, "You can call me Nate. Now listen," his tone turned serious. "We don't have much time here."
"Where's here? Who are you?" Albus screamed at him.
The boy - Nate - grabbed his shoulders, making Albus tense. "Look, as I said, we don't have much time. So please, listen. I assure you, it's important."
Somehow, Albus trusted him. He forced himself to take a few deep breaths before saying quietly, "Alright."
"So," Nate started. "As I said, I'm Nate. I won't go into the details of how I contacted you. All I'll say is, you should really learn some occlumency.
"I just came here to warn you. I can't say too much because I'm under an unbreakable vow and a few other spells and rituals you probably haven't heard of. All I can tell you is, someone I know is planning something, that might hurt a lot of people. It's going to happen this school year, at Hogwarts."
Albus stared at him for a few moments, trying to process what he just heard. He was extremely confused. "What - Why're you telling me this? It sounds like something the Aurors should know!"
Albus' vision started to become blurry again, his head spinning harder. Right before he lost consciousness again, he managed to catch what the boy told him.
"Tell your father. Tell him I'm Davis' son. He'll understand."
Thanks a lot for reading!
