BGM-Spider-Man Unlimited (Game) OST-Main Title

Spider-Man: Look out! It's your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Eggman Nega? Who the heck is that? I was training Miles when he hired Black Cat to steal the OOPArt from the museum. He nearly took it if I didn't activate its power and blew him away. What's even MORE mysterious is that I saw a new Venom. But that can't be right. Venom's long gone. Is he? Either way, I need to get to the bottom of this.

Issue 7: A Crack in Time

Unknown Eggman Empire Base

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Project Dark Gaia

Inside his control room, Eggman Nega is patiently overseeing his operations around the world by watching his monitors and alongside his robots. "Despite my setback with Spider-Man, I say my plans are going well." He said calmly. "I have full control of my ancestor's empire, properly utilizing its resources for my own design. And Sonic is unknowingly collecting the Chaos Emeralds for me. I'll swoop in and take them when he least expects it. All that remains are retrieving the OOPArt and locating the Sol Vessel, but I can't find the latter without the former, and IT'S in the possession of Spider-Man and his allies." He growls, turning around to ponder an idea, "Think, Nega, THINK! You are the greatest scientific genius in the future. A future that doesn't recognize your genius, thanks to your accursed ancestor!" He growls angrily, expressing his disdain for Eggman. "Hmm…the future…Oh ho!" He suddenly gets an idea while playfully slamming a fist on his palm, "I got it! The Solaris Prototype!"

The futuristic doctor walks into a room at an upper viewing area. He looks through the window into a massive circular chamber, containing a large reactor that resembles the Arc Reactor at Avengers Tower. A capsule rise in the viewing area, in which Nega takes out the blue Chaos Emerald that he stole from Princess Elise and places it in the capsule before it recedes back into the ground.

Nega then interacts with the computer console with a chuckle, "Without the remaining Emeralds and the Flames, this prototype is incomplete. But even with ONE Emerald, I can still manipulate time to cause QUITE a ruckus for New Vale City! Spider-Man will have NO CHOICE but to reveal the OOPArt if he wants to survive for what I have in store for him! And it should also keep the Freedom Fighters and SHIELD off my back for a little while. My unknowing guinea pigs. TIME is no longer on your side!" He laughs manically, pulling a handle on a nearby control podium to activate the time machine for a villainous purpose.

Meanwhile at Avengers Tower…

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Earth's Mightiest Tower

"Wooooow…I never seen a weapon so beautiful before…" Ruby says in awe, while staring obsessively at the OOPArt that's contained in a tube for analysis.

"You say that for EVERY new weapon." Spider-Man quips, analyzing the ancient weapon in the lab while standing alongside Ruby, Miles, and Captain America.

Ruby retorts, "Yeah, but I can just tell that this one was created to be SUPER powerful, and the design is highly sophisticated. Not only it can control time, but also gravity and can twist the very fabric of space itself! And its only thousands of years old! Oooh, I want to try it out when you're done analyzing how awesome it is!" She fangirled.

"Girl, you have a problem." Miles quipped, teasing her obsession over weapons.

Captain America smiles while patting Miles' shoulder, "You can't blame her for being excited. This IS a unique artifact from before our time. What else can you tell us about the OOPArt, Spider-Man?" He turns to the older webhead.

Peter answers, "From what I've analyzed, this 'Chronoblade' was created from advanced nanotechnology and comes equip with a self-defense mechanism. It's been deactivated for centuries and reactivated itself under the threat of destruction by Eggman Nega. Now we can use it whenever and summon it wherever."

"Exactly how much power does it have over time?" Cap asked.

"Hard to say at the moment, but it's not on the same level as, say, a Time Stone, thankfully. But it's still very dangerous, and not to be played with by weapon-obsessed huntresses." Peter snarks, while Ruby gives him a deadpan glare, "It's packing enough power to threaten the entire planet. It's a weaponized Arc Reactor, and thensome."

"I can see why Eggman Nega wants it, but we need more intel on his motives." Cap says while contacting Sally Acorn through a holographic viewscreen.

'Greetings, Captain.' Sally politely greeted the Avenger.

"Greetings, Sally. What can you tell us about Eggman Nega? Spider-Man ran into him last night and he's after an ancient artifact known as the Chronoblade." Cap asks the Freedom Fighter.

'Doctor Eggman Nega is Eggman's descendant from Silver's timeline, 200 years in the future.' Sally answered.

"The future? So what, he's like Kang the Conqueror? I heard he was Eggman's doppelganger from Blaze's dimension." Spidey quipped.

'That is what the Freedom Fighters initially thought as well. He's both a time and dimension traveler that likes to make trouble, when and where ever he goes. He blames Eggman for ruining his reputation in his time, and seeks to alter the family history by any means necessary.' Sally explained.

"What are his plans now in this time?" Cap asked.

'According to Sonic and Tails, he wants to control time by collecting the Chaos Emeralds and reviving the Flames of Disaster that were spoken of in Chronoan legend. That's why he invaded Solkaria yesterday, and took Princess Elise's Chaos Emerald. My team is currently tracking his whereabouts, while Sonic and Tails are collecting the Chaos Emeralds before he does.' Sally answered.

"None of that explains why he's after the OOPArt. And what about Eggman? Is he involved in any of this?" Ruby asked, wondering what their Eggman is up to at the moment.

'Eggman worked with Nega in the past, but we're unsure of his current status. Nor do we have an answer on why he wanted to steal the OOPArt.' Sally somberly scratches her hair.

"The fact that there IS an Eggman after it means we should keep a close eye on this thing." Peter says while taking the OOPArt out of its tube.

Cap nods, "Agreed. You brought it in, so you're responsible for it."

"Y'know me, Cap, I'm all about responsibility. Which is also why I want to find this new Venom before he starts causing trouble. He seemed link to Nega somehow. I want to learn more about him." Peter quipped, thinking Venom might be working with Eggman Nega.

BGM-Mega Man Starforce 2 OST-Warning Bell!

'ALERT! ALERT!' JARVIS announced suddenly, to the surprise of the Avengers.

"JARVIS, what is going on?" Cap asked the AI butler.

'Multiple time anomalies have been detected across Manhattan.' JARVIS proclaims, projecting a holo-screen of numerous portals popping up in the city, releasing various creatures from across time like rampaging dinosaurs and killer robots disrupting the peace.

"For real? Dinosaurs are attacking?!" A shocked Miles remarked.

"How is that possible? Is the OOPArt going unstable?" Peter asked.

'It is not. It would seem that something else is disrupting the timestream, summoning individuals and objects from different eras and having them converge with our own.' JARVIS claimed.

"It must be Eggman Nega playing around with the Chaos Emerald." Cap believed.

'We're detecting the time anomalies too. Do you want the Freedom Fighters to come over and assist?' Sally asked the Avengers.

"No. We can handle this. Your team continue searching for Nega." Steve ordered.

Sally nods, 'Understood. Acorn out.' She said before hanging up the call.

"Let's go investigate those Time Rifts in teams of two, and see what we can do about them. Spider-Men are together. Ruby, you're with me. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" Captain America exclaimed, running out of the tower with his teammates.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Code Red

Civilians are in a panic as they run away from the dangerous time distortions ruining their city. Meanwhile on a sightseeing bus, a tour guide remains unaware of the distortions while talking to his guests, "And up here on Broadway-." He stops talking upon noticing a T-Rex that nearly takes a bite of him if the man didn't duck in time. The people on the bus scream for mercy as the dinosaur is ready to eat them, until its mouth was webbed by Spider-Man landing on the bus.

"Welcome to the Big Apple. Arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times, IF you want to keep 'em." Peter jokes, webbing another incoming T-Rex with a Web Bomb before knocking it out with a dropkick across the face.

Dropping from the sky is a squadron of futuristic deadly robots, with one of them stomping a car in a wreck upon landing. "Timestream disrupted detected. Primary programming: Destroy!" The robot proclaimed.

"Your time has just run out." Miles quips while jumping off his webline, driving both fists into the middle of the robot crowd and destroy them with a large sphere of electricity. The kid yipes when he was nearly shot by time-displaced Hydra soldiers piloting fighter jets. He narrowly zips away from their line of fire and regroups with his mentor, "This is nuts! Why is Eggman Nega doing all of this?"

"Because he's crazy evil with an insane ego that wants to conquer the world. But we'll stop him." Peter quipped.

"But first we need to stop these Time Rifts somehow. Where's the nearest one?" Miles asked.

Peter tests out another ability of the OOPArt and materializes it into his hand through time. "I can feel it. The OOPArt is acting like a radar for Time Rifts. There should be one nearby. Follow me!" He zips and swings through the city as Miles follows him. The Spider-Men fight their way through the city, from more dinosaurs to robots to pirates, until they swung towards a baseball stadium, "Over there, at the Diamond Stadium! That's where one of the Time Rifts are emanating from!"

Suddenly, weird humanoid specters with streamlined bodies and no lower body or neck are flying out of the stadium. Each Djinn are coming in different shapes and colors, like Gargoyle Djinn and Red Ma Djinn, and some of them are rushing towards the Web Warriors.

"What are THOSE?!" Miles asks whiles his eyes widen at the sight of the Djinn.

"As if I have a clue!" Peter retorts, cutting down the incoming creatures with his swords.

The duo destroys as many Djinn as they can until they landed in the center of the stadium. Civilians at the spectator seats try to flee the area, but were blocked by the Djinn and forced to be hostages. Near the center of the field is a dark colored, floating green orb resembling an eye with sparkling vortex effects surrounding it summoning these mystical creatures from across time into this era.

"We found one of the rifts. Question is: How are we gonna close it and save the hostages?" Peter wondered. Then suddenly, both his and Miles' Spider-Senses tingle to something else about to appear from the Time Rift. "Another question: What else is coming out of it?" He quipped.

BGM-Sonic and the Secret Ring OST-Sandstorm

Menacingly walking out of the rift is a tall, muscular, humanoid being with pink skin traced with red markings and wears a long brown cape, as well as wielding a large, curved scimitar designed to resemble a straight-edge razor. "Who has summoned me into this realm? Was it you little bugs?" The mysterious menace asked the webslingers.

"That's not a nice way to greet people. Spiders aren't bugs. We're arachnids!" Peter quipped.

The mysterious menace scoffs indifferently, "You have the same mouth as that blue rat. My name is Erazor Djinn. I have been summoned from the Arabian Nights against my will, so I shall carve up THIS world as I search for the insolent fool!" He introduces himself as one of Sonic's old enemies, who has been displaced from time thanks to Eggman Nega.

"Drop the threats, and maybe we'll decide working together to find Nega." Miles snarked.

"Oh. You know his identity? Tell me where I can find this person?" Erazor asked curiously.

"You're as deaf as you are dumb if you think we know where he is and we'll tell you anything, Eraser. I'm still highly hurt that you mistook us for bugs and not Arachnids." Peter quips, mocking the Genie of the Lamp.

Erazor then grins evilly, "Then…" He takes off his cape and is ready to fight the heroes, "I'll free you from your pain by cutting you in two!"

"Oh yeah?! Try your best shot!" Peter retorts, as the Spider-Men and Erazor start charging at each other.

BGM-Sonic and the Secret Rings OST-It Has Come to This

Peter wields the Chronoblade, briefly clashing his blade against Erazor's until Miles surprises the genie with a web-strike across his face, knocking him backwards. Then, Erazor charges his magic and grows twice his size to try and intimidate the heroes. "You really think getting a growth spurt will scare us? Sorry, pinky, but you're less intimidating than Ant-Man at that size!" Peter mocked the powerful sorcerer.

Erazor growls angrily, "You miserable bug! I'll shut that mouth of yours permanently!" He delivers a furious and flaming spin slash, which was dodged by the Spiders as they jumped into the air.

"Don't see you shutting us up with that oversized gardening tool!" Miles attempts a web-strike towards Erazor's giant head, but missed when the genie teleports out of his sight and immediately reappears to smack him through the stadium.

"MILES!" Peter shouted, leaving himself wide open for Erazor to warp above him and slam him down with his blade.

Erazor then takes notice of the OOPArt in the webslinger's hand, "That is an intriguing weapon you possess, insect."

"Want a closer look on how it works? Fair warning. I haven't read the instruction manual." Spidey points the blade and sends inspiral gravitational waves at the genie, hurting him while knocking him back. He quickly zips towards Erazor's head and pummels him, vaulting over his blade swing while webbing Miles in midair, "Hey batta batta! Hey batta batta!" He says, annoying Erazor while pulling Miles into the fray.

"SWING!" Miles delivers a powerful Venom Punch across the genie's face, blasting him across the field. Erazor grunts in pain, briefly stunned and slowly recovers while the spiders regroup.

"This feels like it could go on forever. How can we beat him?" Miles asks his mentor.

Peter looks behind and notices the open Time Rift, which gives him an idea. "By sending him back in time. Go camo for his minions." He orders Miles to hide himself with his camouflage.

Fully recovered from the Venom Punch, Erazor notices that Miles has mysteriously disappeared and is only left to confront Peter. "Seems your filthy little bug friend is too cowardly to fight me head on. No matter." He then gets into a charging position, ready to dash towards Peter, "You, however, has proven to be a worthy adversary on par with the blue rat."

"Why am I always seen as 'on par' with anyone that's blue?" Peter quipped, unaware that Erazor is talking about his friend, Sonic.

"Come, insect! And face me!" Erazor goads as he charges at the webslinger.

"You want it, you got it!" Spidey retorts while zipping towards the immortal genie.

While charging at Spider-Man, Erazor tries confusing him with rapid teleportation. Spidey sees through his tricks with his Spider-Sense and manages to lock blades with the genie. Both combatants are fiercely locked against each other, intensely glaring at the other while trying to overcome the other. Meanwhile, the invisible Miles strikes down the Djinn that have taken the civilians hostage, saving them.

"That blade will not help you! I am immortal! Even IF you overpower me, I will stand again and again until you are vanquished!" Erazor taunts Peter while slowly overpowering hm.

"Whatever you say, Razor. Meanwhile, we have other things to do, like kicking YOU back home!" Peter quips, signaling Miles to dropkick Erazor in the back, knocking him closer to the Time Rift. Peter then slashes him into the portal with the OOPArt, causing half of his body to be consumed in the portal.

"NOOOO! There is no death for me! I shall not vanish!" Erazor boasted arrogantly.

"Sure seems like it to me!" Miles quips, working alongside Peter as they push Erazor completely into the portal with a double swing kick.

"WAAAAAAaaagghhh…!" Erazor yells in defeat while being sent back to his proper place in time.

"We beat him, but what's stopping him from coming back?" Miles looks at his mentor.

"I'm sure this thing has the answer." Peter looks at his Chronoblade. Unsure of what he's doing, he points the sword at the Time Rift and concentrates on it to do something. The sword glows with energy and appears to be absorbing the energy from the Time Rift, slowly closing it. "Hey, I think I'm closing it!" He exclaims, noticing the Rift shrinking until it completely disappears from the stadium.

"Awesome! We did it! Time Rift closed!" Peter smiles, sharing a victorious high-five with his protégé.

"ONE Time Rift closed." corrected Nick Fury, who appears out of nowhere behind the Spider-Men, startling and surprising both of them as they turn around to face him.

"Nick Fury? Are you from the present, or the past or future, 'cause I can't tell. You never seem to age." Peter quipped.

"Get serious." Fury scowled.

"I am being serious."

"Not about my age! I am talking about our current situation with the time anomalies!" Fury retorted, "You and Miles did good closing that Rift, but that's only one outta several dozen across the city. Seems like Eggman Nega is ripping apart the timeline to distract us while he continues developing his plans."

"How do you know Eggman Nega is behind this?" Miles asks the SHIELD Director.

"SHIELD has been tracking him down for a while, ever since one of our agents retrieved a Chaos Emerald from him." Fury answered.

"And I suppose you know about the new Venom and his possible connection to all hell breaking loose. Have any idea which timeline he's from?" Peter jokingly asks the spy about Agent Venom.

"No clue, but we can deal with the rumors of Venom's return later." Fury lied, hiding his secrets about Agent Venom to Peter. "That weapon you used to close the rift was crafted from ancient technology." He points at the OOPArt, "You and Miles continue closing the rifts one by one until we locate Nega; Otherwise, New Vale is gonna get some nasty new residents, and I'm still not referring to the hipsters!" He ordered the Spider-Men to stay in Manhattan and use the OOPArt to save the city from the Time Distortions shredding it apart.

KFX Here: Gotta love Fury keeping secrets about his secrets. And I hope you enjoyed that cameo appearance of Erazor Djinn from Sonic and the Secret Rings. With Eggman Nega messing with the timeline, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce some fresh new baddies that haven't made an appearance in this series because of different circumstances, mostly from the Sonic side as them being dead. Who will be the next time-displaced villain? Find out, AFTER we reunite with Sonic and Tails.
