BGM-Spider-Man Unlimited (Game) OST-Main Title

Spider-Man: Look out! It's your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! It's total mayhem out here! Eggman Nega is somehow causing time distortions that are affecting the city, summoning baddies like the Erazor Djinn from across time to cause trouble in the now. The OOPArt seems to be the only weapon capable of closing the rifts. I'll close as many as I can, until we can find and shut down Nega's operations.

Issue 8: Hedgehog Among Thieves

Iron Jungle Zone

BGM-Sonic Rush OST-Theme of Sonic Event

'And that what's happening at New Vale.' said Sally Acorn through the Miles Electric, while Tails is piloting the Tornado 2 and Sonic standing on the wings of the biplane as they fly over the jungle.

"Gosh. Time distortions? It must be related to Nega's Solaris Project to control time." Tails remarked, having been updated on the rifts that are plaguing the city.

Sally nods, 'Very likely. The city's a mess, but the Avengers and SHIELD are doing their best to keep things under control. In the meantime, it's up to us to find Nega and the remaining Chaos Emeralds. My team has a lead on his whereabouts. How are things with the Emeralds?'

"So far we haven't found any, but we picked up a strange faint signal in Iron Jungle. We're about to land now and investigate." Tails replies while landing the plane somewhere in the jungle.

'A strange faint signal? Hmm. Guessing the time distortions might be affecting the radar. The Emeralds alone have never been easy to find.' Sally pondered.

"Eh, I do it all the time. But then, nobody is as skilled as me, are they?" Sonic shruggingly jokes, jumping down the plane before Tails.

'Careful, Sonic. We don't have TIME to deal with your ego.' Sally smirks while delivering a pun that got a chuckle from both the hedgehog and fox.

"Yeah, yeah. We'll call you later once we find the emerald." Sonic grins, allowing Tails to hang up the call on his Miles Electric.

BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog (2006) OST-Iron Jungle

Sonic begins running at high speed through the jungle, with Tails flying to catch up with his partner. "Point us in the right direction to the emerald, Tails." Sonic ordered.

"Got it!" Tails looks at his handheld to track the emerald's signal, "The signal SEEMS to be getting stronger. Take a left!" He says, in which they immediately comply. Suddenly, the signal is jammed, "Darn! Now the signal's jammed. Wonder why?"

"Because we're approaching Eggman territory." Sonic notices as they are running into an abandoned secret base that belonged to the villainous doctor.

"ABANDONED Eggman territory." Tails remarks otherwise.

However, the security system mysteriously activates turrets and other hazards to attack the surprised heroes. "Nevermind! We must've tripped the security alarms!" Tails says while narrowly dodging the turret fire. A Badnik Horde then rises from the ground and attacks the duo, with Tails destroying Egg Pawns and SWATbots on his own, "We got Badniks!"

Just then, Sonic avoids obliteration from a bandit firing an Egg Bazooka. That bandit is then joined by more outlaws wielding Eggman weaponary like Egg Spears and Egg Guns to attack the heroes with. "AND Bandits? Starting to get the feeling that this base isn't so abandoned." Sonic quips while blitzing down the bandit that nearly shot him. "What are you lowlives doing in this lowly place?" He asked the bandits.

"This is our hideout that you're crashing, hedgehog!" A bandit swings their Egg Spear at Sonic, who easily dodges it thanks to his superior speed.

"Was just passing by. Need directions that might lead me to a shiny gemstone of infinite power." Sonic quipped.

"Here're your directions!" shouted a special muscular bandit that manages to land a heavy punch across Sonic's face, sending him flying across the base until he lands near Tails.

"Sonic! You okay?!" Tails asked in concern.

"I'm alright…" Sonic rubs his cheeks while standing to confront the bandit that punched him. The muscular bandit appears to be a mobian skunk with white and light gray fur and no tail. He is joined by his brother, who medium-sized skunk with teal and cream white fur. Sonic's eyes widen before facepalming upon recognizing the skunk brothers, "Oh man…You two again?"

"It's been a while." The little skunk starts rhyming with a mischievous smile.

"Remember our style?" The big skunk continues the rhyme.

"It's payback time for ROUGH AND TUMBLE!" The infamous Skunk Brothers, Rough and Tumble, introduced himself to their old enemies.

Both Sonic and Tails silently respond to their unintimidating rivals with deadpan stares of disappointment, and confusion. "…Their rhymes haven't improved since last time." Tails sweatdropped.

Sonic sighs, "I'd feel you two be better rappers than rhymers. I take it you SOMEHOW broke out of jail again, then SOMEHOW became leaders of your own bandit gang, and SOMEHOW took over this old Eggman base. Correct?" He asked them incompetent skunks.

Rough nervously scratches the back of his head, "Y-Yeah, the first part anyway. We're just the newest members of the tribe that took over this place."

"Which tribe are we talking about?" Sonic asked.

BGM-Sonic Adventure OST-Mystic Ruins

At that moment, Sonic and Tails notice a black corvid flying pass them and lands on the ground. The bird then mystically transforms into a woman in a shallow cut black and red dress and equipped with a sheathed sword around her waist. "Of course it'd be YOU TWO causing trouble for me." She jokes dryly towards Sonic and Tails.

"Raven?!" A surprised Tails recognizes her as Raven Branwen, leader of the Branwen Tribe and the mother of Yang.

"Boss!" Tumble says happily to be saved from embarrassment.

"Now that you're here, boss, these do-gooders will be toast for sure!" Rough grins evilly, as he and Tumble stands near Branwen and get into fighting stances against Sonic and Tails.

"Idiots." Raven bluntly insults the skunks.

"Huh?" Rough looks at her in complete confusion.

"Even with my help, you two wouldn't last five seconds against them." Raven mocked, depressing her skunk grunts.

"Aw man…Why ya gotta be so blunt, boss?" Tumble depressingly stares down at the ground.

"Everyone else, stand down. These two aren't our enemies. Any more fighting will just arouse nearby Grimm to our hideout." Raven orders her tribe while approaching the Freedom Fighters.

"So you picked an old Eggman base as your tribe's new hideout." Sonic says, smiling at the bandit huntress.

"Eggman was an idiot abandoning this place. Lots of leftover weapons for us to use and advanced technology to protect us from Grimm or anyone else that I might've pissed off. The perfect secret base, that is until you two stumbled upon it. How and why?" Raven glares at the mobian duo, annoyed that they discovered her secret hideout.

"We were tracking down a Chaos Emerald. Eggman's descendant from the future is here and is trying to conquer all of time." Tails answered.

Raven delivers a deadpan stare at the mobians while folding her arms, "His descendant? From the future? Nice to know how ridiculous that sounds." She says sarcastically, "Yeah, I heard through the Eggnet something weird is going on at New Vale. Is Yang okay? Heard she caught a cold." She expresses concern for her daughter.

"She's getting better. She is your daughter." Sonic says with a wink. "You wouldn't happen to have stumbled upon a Chaos Emerald while settling in?" He asked.

"Perhaps." Raven replies with a small grin, slyly revealing the yellow Chaos Emerald to the heroes, much to Tails' gasping surprise.

"That's so Raven." Sonic joked casually.

"BUT, it's not for free." Raven proclaimed, much to their confusion.

"Huh? Why not?" Tails retorted.

"Maybe because it is a priceless jewel containing infinite power. No sane person would simply sell it." Raven quipped.

"But you're a hero!" Tails retorted.

"Part-time." Raven stated calmly.

"But the world's in danger! All of TIME is in danger!" Tails retorted, increasingly getting worried.

"Calm down, kid. I AM willing to make a trade." Raven offered.

"What kind of trade?" Sonic asked curiously.

"You two be my little thieves for a few hours." Raven replied.

"As in…robbing a town? I don't feel too good about doing that." Tails gulps worriedly, as he doesn't have the heart to be a cold-hearted thief.

"I know you don't. That is why I want you to rob an Eggman train at Sunset Park. I learned from the Eggnet that its transporting Chaos Drives and other useful items to one of their bases. Hijack the train so it may stop at Frontier Canyon. I'll meet you there and hand you the emerald, but only IF you accomplish this simple task." Raven ordered, handing them a mission.

Sonic smiles, replying with a thumbs up, "No problem!"

"What?! I thought you promised US to handle the train mission!" Rough shouted, standing near Tumble upon hearing about the mission.

"You two would mess it up!" Raven retorted sternly, as she once again depresses the skunks.

Sonic chuckles at them as he and Tails prepare to leave for Sunset Park, "Don't worry, Rave! You can count of us to bring the train! Just keep that emerald handy once we show up!" He grinned.

Later at Sunset Park Zone…

BGM-Sonic Chaos OST-Mecha Green Hill Zone (Classic Remix)

"WOOHOO! Here we go!" Sonic smiles eagerly, as the Tornado 2 is nearing the the dilapidated, run down multi-story railway system. The Bullet Train containing the Chaos Drives has departed from the Zone, riding the track at high speeds while being chased by the mobian duo.

Sonic jumps from the plane and lands at the tail end of the train, while Tails continues piloting the Tornado. "Head to the engine car and break through, then I'll drop the handheld that'll help you hack the Egg-OS system!" Tails ordered.

"Roger that, lil' buddy!" Sonic responds, running towards the engine car of this long red and black train. "This'll be a piece of cake! Raven should've chosen a harder mission for us!" He grinned.

Unknowingly, Sonic triggers the security sensors upon running along the roof of the train. The train activates a group of Badniks stashed within a car, opening a hatch to allow them outside and attack Sonic and Tails. "You had to jinx it!" Tails retorts, blasting the aerial robots out of the sky with his plane.

"I didn't, really. These Badniks aren't making things THAT much harder." Sonic quips, easily smashing through the robots with Homing Attacks before landing back on the train, "If they were led by a Badnik Horde Commander, then yes, it would be a jinx." Then out of nowhere, Sonic was blasted away by what appeared to be a repulsor blast.

Sonic shakes his head and nearly regains his composure as a humanoid robot dramatically lands in front of him. It is a silver robot with shoulder pads and an eyeless faceplate similar to Iron Man's, a silver vest emblazoned with black overlay similar to Thor's, and red hard-light wings similar to Falcon's.

"Okay, I'll admit it. I jinxed it." Sonic admitted with a worried look on his face while confronting the mystery robot.

"Oh my gosh! It's the Super-Adaptoid! Eggman must've repaired it!" Tails recognized the power-copying robot.

The Super-Adaptoid takes to the skies and tries tackling Sonic with the Wings of Falcon, only for the hedgehog to quickly dodge it, "I wish he DIDN'T!" He immediately spindashes its back, only for it to retaliate by transforming its hand into a copy of Mjolnir, spins, and then viciously smack the hedgehog away.

"Be careful! Not only does it still have the powers of the Avengers, but it can copy YOUR powers too!" Tails warned.

"I HATE fighting robots that can copy my powers!" Sonic retorts, while the Super-Adaptoid scans him and copies his superspeed for its own purposes. With this new power, Super-Adaptoid charges at the hedgehog with speeds rivaling his and kicks him off of the train, much to Sonic's shock and pain. On the tracks, Sonic swiftly bounces to his feet and runs alongside the train. "At the very least, it's a challenge that won't end TOO QUICKLY." He leaps back onto the train and uses his speed to clash evenly with Super-Adaptoid's. "Let's hurt it with something that it CAN'T copy!" He recommends.

Tails nods, "Right!" The Tornado 2 fires its machine gun at the Super-Adaptoid while it was distracted fighting Sonic. The robot takes to the skies and unloads a repulsor barrage at the plane, managing to scratch it several times. Sonic then delivers a surprise spinning uppercut from below its chin, knocking it upwards before the hedgehog stomps it back to the train. While its briefly in midair and stunned, Sonic fires a shockwave from his Spin Dash to blast it away into Tails' line of fire, blowing it up by unloading all of the Tornado's weapons.

"Way to go, little bro! Now toss me the Miles Electric!" Sonic gestures while complimenting his partner.

"Here you go, Sonic!" Tails tosses him his handheld.

Sonic grabbed it and runs to the engine car, smashing through the roof hatch and landing next to the control panel. He hooks the handheld up to the control panel, as it automatically hacks the computer system and allowing him full control of the train. He grins, "Next stop: Frontier Canyon!"

Frontier Canyon Zone

BGM-Sonic Rush OST-Theme of Sonic Event

At the wild west-themed area, Raven, Rough, Tumble, and few other Branwen Bandits are waiting for the Bullet Train at an old train station. Rough exasperates, "They're running late! They must've messed up! I KNEW we should've handled this mission!"

"Keep whining and I'll kick you out of the tribe." Raven calmly threatened the annoying skunk.

"Y-Yes, ma'am. Sorry, ma'am." Rough quickly apologizes, fearing the merciless huntress' wrath.

Just then, the Bullet Train and the Tornado 2 arrives at the Zone and stops next to the station. Tails jumps out of his plane, just before Sonic smirkingly opens a car door from inside that contains crates full of Chaos Drives, Dust, ISO-8, and other extremely useful items for the Branwen Tribe. "We hit the motherlode! And who said I can't make a good thief." Sonic joked.

The Branwen Tribe were incredibly impressed with the stolen goods. While the Skunk Brothers get their grubby hands on useful Eggman technology, Raven takes a Chaos Drive, and an Enchanted Uru rock as a bonus. "There's even Enchanted Uru. Not bad. I guess a deal's a deal." Raven smiles, tossing her Chaos Emerald to Sonic, "We'll take this stuff back to base. Perhaps use it to cause more trouble for the Eggman Empire."

"Finally turning your tribe into a freedom fighting group?" Sonic teased.

Raven smirkingly scoffs, "Part time, if I'm feeling bored. Then maybe I'll check in on Yang. See how my son-in-law is ruining their marriage." She joked.

Sonic chuckles, "I'm sure the Time Rifts have that job covered. C'mon Tails, let's get outta here and find the next emerald."

"Not yet." Tails responded, much to Sonic's confusion. "First, I want to go back to the base with Raven and take advantage of her Eggnet access."

"What for?" Raven curiously asked the young genius.

Back at Iron Jungle…

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-3 Black Noises (Revival)

Sonic, Tails, and Raven are in a computer room back at the Branwen Base. Tails taps on the keyboard, hacking into secret files through the Eggnet. "Nega mentioned that he uncovered secret files that'll help him complete his Solaris Project. Hopefully I can gain access to those files and learn EXACTLY what he's planning." Tails stated. He continues tapping the keyboard as information appears on the screen, "Think I got something."

"Like what?" Sonic questioned.

"Something about a… 'Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.', which stands for Potential Energy Group/Alternate Sources/United States. It used to be a secret joint project between SHIELD, NASA, the United States Air Force, the whole government was involved in this thing!" Tails reads through the secret files.

"Why's that?" Sonic asked.

"To study the Flame of Hope known as Solaris, and harness its power to control time! But a major accident occurred 20 years ago, and the project has since been terminated." Tails proclaimed, much to the shock of Sonic and Raven, "SHIELD tried their best to cover it up as a prototype energy engine failure, and yet Eggman, or Eggman Nega, somehow learned the truth."

"And now they're trying to replicate and surpass their work using Chaos Emeralds. Had no idea SHIELD was involved in something so…ambitious." Sonic remarks with a worried expression.

"Wouldn't surprise me if Fury was in charge of it all." Raven crosses her arms.

"Apparently, Howard Stark was the inspiration behind the project. He was the original founder of SHIELD." Tails replied.

"Tony's dad?" Sonic remarked.

"EVEN better." Raven retorts sarcastically.

"So Solaris was some kind of…god of time?" Sonic questioned.

"It was worshipped as Chronoa's sun god and can unleash its wrath as the Flames of Disaster. But according to the data, it can also control time and move through history." Tails clarified.

Sonic facepalms, "Can't believe SHIELD was experimenting with a god of the sun AND time! How stupid were they?! Of course an accident would occur when experimenting with something THAT powerful. I'm surprised the timeline didn't collapse 20 years ago!"

"I'm downloading the data into my handheld for future research. It could help us locate the Flames of Disaster while we track down the remaining emeralds! We can't let Nega revive it, or else the entire timeline really WILL collapse this week!" Tails declared, more determined than ever to find the remaining Chaos Emeralds and stopping Nega's plans for world domination.

KFX Here: The secrets of Project Pegasus are unraveling in Sonic's side of the story. Meanwhile, Spider-Man will continue learning a little more about the ancient civilization that worshipped Solaris as he continues battling the Time Rifts. And maybe we'll see Agent Venom get some action. Find out later.
