In the following morning, the professor and the girls woke up in time for breakfast and before going to school. The day they know is going to be a great day to fight crime when criminals lurk about. Or so they thought.

"Anything new Blossom?" asked Buttercup.

"Well, nothing besides the news." She said as the news flash came on.

"I wonder what's new today?" Bubbles wondered.

"Breaking News! A vicious mass murder that happened last night was discovered and witnessed by the citizens of Townsville this morning. Stating that the unexpected death and permanent end of the most wanted gangs in the city's history; The GanGreen Gang has been found dead after their attempt of assaulting an elder woman. News reporter John is on the scene." Said the anchor man as the scene shifted.

"Thank you sir. As you can all see the site of the incident that took place last night, Townsville PD has been doing investigations of finding the killer and who he is. As the dead corpses of the gang is being taken to the Townsville Hospital for their burial, I am here with the elder pedestrian who has seen all the action and brutal carnage. Ma'am, for what you've seen last night as you being rescued from the gang, what does your rescuer look like and why he did this?" he asked.

"Well he is big, tall, and has a very beefy build of his body. He also has a deformed face and he wears a police uniform and I looked at his badges that he is part of the New York Police Department from the City of Manhattan. I don't know why he killed the GanGreen Gang, but it's like he lost mental control of himself and became insane to hunt dangerous criminals and kill them Onsight with no mercy like he has strength and skill that is not human and he has a bladed baton and 6-bullet revolver." She answered carefully.

"Okay, did he tell you his name?" he asked.

"Yes he did. And he told his name is Matthew Cordell or Matt for short. But where he comes from people fear him and call him Maniac Cop. But furthermore after he saved me, he has heart and I feel bad for him for what kind of torture and mutilation he's been through." She answered.

"I see. Well there you have it. Back to you in the studio." Said John as the scene shifted back to the anchor.

"Thank you. Our time is up we'll pause here and be right back for more updates. For those who may encounter Matthew Cordell the 'Maniac Cop' and his last known whereabouts do so call The Powerpuff Girls to find him and bring him in. The only questions we found out so far of a maniac who without hesitation end Townsville's Age of Anarchy through violence, is he Townsville's salvation like The Powerpuff Girls or is he Townsville's new force of destruction and blood-spilling carnage?" he said as the news cut off.

The girls were shocked of what happened last night and the killer's name and origin. Professor Utonium was also shocked of the news and the new comer.

"That was unexpected." Said Buttercup.

"UNEXPECTED!?" shouted Blossom.

"Yeah. That new guy killed them with no mercy. A cop doesn't do that to criminals according to procedure!" said Bubbles.

"Yeah. That so called, 'Maniac Cop' just killed them cold-blooded! I mean what if he could be as dangerous as Mojo!?" asked Blossom.

"Or as sinister as HIM!?" said Bubbles.

"Or as selfish as Morbucks!?" said Buttercup.

Utonium stepped in and said, "Girls let's not jump to conclusions. First we need to find actual proof if he has intentions like the common evils we all have fought before we can make our move."

"Like how? He could be just roaming about in the streets of the city and maybe here in the suburban area." Asked Blossom.

"Maybe if he does turn up somewhere and we find him, either he can come with us quietly or he goes for a beat down." Said Buttercup.

"Maybe that is if we can let him explain why he did this and we may understand." Said Bubbles.

The girls looked at Bubbles with weird looks until that idea popped in Blossom's head.

"That can be a possibility Bubbles. That is if we don't do anything that can offend him." She said.

"I hope so." Said Buttercup.

"Let's go girls!" said Blossom as they flew out of the house to begin their search for Matt Cordell.

"Be careful girls." The professor said with worry.

At the precinct section of the city, Matt was doing his routine patrol in the streets avoiding contact with the civilians. Then he heard an explosion at a bank and rushed to the scene of the crime. He saw a few common level bank robbers leaving the bank with their loot. But with a stand, Matt walked up to them with his baton in hand ready to slaughter some more crooks.

"Who is this guy?" one of the crooks asked.

The leader looked at Matt and his appearance in fear and said, "I know that guy on the news! It's the 'Maniac Cop'!"

"You guys are coming with me, or you'll end up dead like I did to the GanGreen Gang last night!" he shouted in an animalistic tone.

"Like heck if it will ever happen!" said the leader.

"Okay. Have it your way!" said Matt as he unsheathed his baton's hidden blade for another battle to the death.
