Barty Crouch Who?
"VWORP VWORP VWORP"
Harry turned around, surprised. That didn't sound like a Muggle noise, nor did it seem like it was anything magical. Perhaps it was the Weasleys arriving, they were coming to pick him up for the World Cup. Ever cautious, he grabbed his wand, before going to investigate. There was a big blue box, about seven feet. It hadn't been there a few minutes ago. That meant it was probably magical. After all, how could any Muggle move such a big box in mere minutes, without any noise at all? Perhaps it was Sirius, come to see him about the nightmare, since he hadn't seen anything like that at the Weasleys when he visited them. He approached the box, and was about to touch it, when it suddenly made that noise again, and disappeared. It was as if it reacted to him, flinching at his touch.
Later, at the Weasleys':
"Hey, Ron, did any of you come to Privet Drive earlier? I saw a box there, and it was something magical," Harry asked, having come to their house, sitting in the room he and Ron shared.
"No Harry, we didn't come before right now, when we picked you. Do you think it could have been Si… er Snuffles?" said Ron.
"Maybe, but what I don't understand is, what sort of a magical object was it? I mean, it appeared out of nowhere, and then suddenly disappeared. Do you think it could be related to the dream I had?" wondered Harry.
"Well, I don't know, but it sounds like a Portkey," answered Ron.
"What's that?" asked Harry.
"Well, a Portkey can be any object, and it transports anyone touching it to a specific destination, although I haven't heard of any disappearing like that, or making that sound, or go away without taking you along too. I can ask Dad if he knows what it could have been. He'll know better than me," explained Ron.
"No, it's best not. What if it were Snuffles, then he might get caught," cautioned Harry.
"Yeah," Ron replied, "but we can always ask Hermione."
"Good idea, let's ask her after dinner," said Harry.
After dinner:
"Hermione, we needed to ask you something," called out Ron.
"Yes, what is it Ron?" she asked, a bit impatient.
"Well," started Harry, "before the Weasleys came, I saw this blue box…"(then he went on to explain the whole event, but I think you all know what it was, so I won't describe it again.)
"Harry, that was so irresponsible of you! What if that box was dangerous, and it hurt you?" scolded Hermione, in the privacy of the boys' room.
"Hermione, I was curious. Now, what I wanted to ask you is, do you know what that box is? It's obviously magical, but what does it do?" asked Harry.
"Well, I don't know, your description seems a bit familiar, but I can't place my finger on it. When we reach Hogwarts, I'll look in the library. There has to be something there," answered Hermione.
"Well, do tell me if you find anything," said Harry, resigned at Hermione's belief at the infallibility of the library.

A/N: Guys, tell me, Hermione finds this box a bit familiar, so, does she recognize it from the Doctor Who show, or does she remember the old police boxes that were placed in London.
A/N2: A reviewer suggested that Hermione could have heard rumors about the Doctor on the internet, and remember about the blue police box from that reference. If you agree, I could write with that.
