Clementine faced the living room mirror as she adjusted her golden locket, admiring the glint that dusted from the speculum. She analyzed her work of doing so for a second starting it over from locking it. It's been awhile she's worn that locket, the necklace her lover bought from her last birthday. It wasn't the last but she did think it was a first . . .

"Here, lemme help you with that," The brunette was satisfied by a helping hand of her girlfriend's, she smiled as she stood still and looked back at her outfit from the mirror.

A polyester white-orange striped dress that was pretty loose at the end but it did feel a little revealing since she wasn't the best at wearing dresses but in that case, she has always been used to wearing dresses like that since it was although a preparation at heart. "Thanks, Vi." she murmurs under her breath as her head toggles down, her neck now visible for Violet.

Violet; in a dress? she wasn't used to the comfort of wearing it at all but it seemed to be an astonishing feeling for Clementine to see how sufficient she's looked. A tight crisp black dress, a simple fitted top that was forming a v-shape, exposing the top part of cleavage, and short sleeves hanging below the shoulders, only the slightest bit too tight and just a tad too long but not overly so. Making a mental note to buy her own at some point, her eyes traveled down to the cognatic leather purse as the other girl's fit was held her slim complexity. Her dark chocolate ringlets out of their usual side bun and freely to her shoulders, the blonde teen admired the whole time.

It was shorter than she was comfortable with; what was supposed to be a knee-length dress instead of coming down mid-thigh. Besides that, it fit perfectly; hugging her form tightly but not to the point of discomfort, showing quite a bit of skin and making her gentle curves pop. It truly was a beautiful dress but Violet would much prefer seeing it on her girlfriend.

As the brunette continued her examination in the mirror, giving herself a mental pat on the back for quite a decent appearance, if she did say so herself, a groan coming from behind drew her silent attention once the other girl was a distance away from her. "This suuuucks." Violet complained, heading toward the bathroom where she had a better understanding of what she were wearing.

Clementine rolled her eyes at her grouch of a girlfriend, lips quirked into an amused grin. "C'mon, you're such a baby. You already promised you'd wear a dress if we ever go somewhere."

"I didn't think you were serious! How come you get to where something... less revealing."

The teen's eyebrows knitted once a suppressed grasp to her bag made her wonder, "We are literally wearing the exact same thing." Clementine bit back as an exciting idea came to mind.

"Ugh, I don't know, Clem. This just doesn't look right on me." Violet said as she checked over her own outfit for the night.

None of her lover's current dresses would fit, forcing herself to use one of Clem's from high school if that was an understatement or just a valid reasonable solution.

"Babe, you look beautiful as always. You gonna wear any makeup?"

Violet thought of back at it again, leaving her a little baffled for a minute as she debated on that circumstance. "I mean, I guess, and only because I love you." she shouted from the bathroom, carefully applying eyeliner with a grasp on thoughts clouding over her head that made her overestimate herself once again, internally.

She opted to go for a more subtle approach; a light dab of foundation, cat-eye, and lipstick colored a natural shade of pink. Her golden lighten hair, which had decided to grow an inch more along from her bangs hidden behind her face as usual. It felt strange to Violet, dolling herself up. She always preferred to go completely natural, partially out of laziness and partially because she wanted to come off as more 'real', for lack of a better term. However, she wanted to make tonight special for her girlfriend, and so she swallowed her pride and continued her work.

"Awh, you know I love you more. What about high heels?" the brunette inquired.

The blonde paused at her actions, "I will stab you with them if you bring those monstrosities anywhere near me," she deadpanned.

"Got it."

Clementine grabbed her car keys, unlocking the door and glancing toward the clock as she waited on her partner to finish and pan to her. "Babe, you ready yet? it's almost seven and we've got about an hour until they serve appetizers."

"Yeah, give me a sec!"

The younger woman turned her head to the stairs as the creaking of the steps descended, along with the girl question.

Her heart started to quicken in anticipation as Violet's black silked dress came into view, not even realizing she was holding her breath the entire time.

And suddenly, the whole world seemed to freeze in place as amber oculars finally settled in, her pupils dilating, finally settled onto the girl now standing right in front of her.

She laughs, internally. Casual sneakers with a beautiful dress? Clementine thought. With a hot bod like that, I wonder what it could do to me... Jesus what am I saying!?

SNAP OUT OF IT!

Clementine took in the sight of her beloved, panning her top to bottom in absolute awe of her radiating beauty. Violet's awkward stance; holding onto her arm while she shifted her weight from foot to foot, eyes unable to meet her own; did nothing to take away from her magnificence. If anything, it only added more to it in the brunette's eyes. She wasn't used to this look, this perfect look that really fits the blonde especially with a full face plastered with makeup. She was perfect.

"Wow..." she breathed.

Violet looked to her feet, her face a disheartened expression as she let out a quiet sigh. "I know, I know. I look like crap."

The girl's words hadn't even registered in the teen's mind, far too entranced with the sight before her. "Vi, you look...you look..." she couldn't think of the right word to describe such elegance.

Violet bit the inside of her cheek, bracing herself for her girlfriend's disappointment. What was she going to say..? Ugly? Unattractive? Terrible?

" Hot ..."

Emerald eyes as well as hazel ones widened as soon as the word escaped from Clementine's lips. Violet's face turned red at the unexpected compliment as she blushed, immensely. But not nearly as much as Clementine's, who was struggling to amend her statement.

"Uhm I-I meant 'great'! Y...yeah, you look great." the brunette wished she could run into the forest and disappear forever after the word vomit that just tumbled out of her mouth.

Violet, whose eyes gazed down at the ground, "Oh uh, thanks, Clem. You look great too," the blonde gave a sheepish smile that eventually fades away from her features, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as her lover stood like a statue, staring at her blankly "Uh, Clem?"

Shaking her head to yank out of her thoughts of trancing, the younger girl opened the door and stepped to the side, "Right, right! After you,"

"Such a gentlewoman," Violet pretended to swoon, bringing the back of her hand to her forehead as she walked out the door.

Clementine chuckled, then after a couple of minutes, she couldn't help but drift her gaze down a bit, admiring how her lover's tight dress accentuated the tapering of the blonde's narrow hips and the curve of her breech.

Her eyes widened once again then immediately stopped at the ground as the two girls' headed toward the vehicle. Still staring shamelessly at Violet's rear, Clementine moved to follow, only to bump face-first into the door. Blushing fiercely, she quickly walked out, closing and locking the door behind her and praying to whatever merciful deity that was out there that the blonde teen had not quite seen that.

The two teens sat in peaceful silence as Clementine drove them to the restaurant she had reserved for their one-year anniversary of being the apocalyptic couple they were.

Then an eyebrow quirked as Violet's phone went off especially from how she bursts right into laughter at that moment, hovering over her cellphone which just so happens to be, buzzing?

Buzz, Buzz, Buzz,

Clementine's eyebrows knit in amusement as she mentions but exactly what was doing was making an inquiry in general, "I wonder who that can be," she says, thoroughly.

"It's just Louis, sending me dumb shit again..."

Clementine chuckled, softly. As she took her eyes away from the road for a split second,

"Now take a deep breath, you need a damn chill pill."

"Are you listening? you look ugh... just so, ugh..."

"And what the hell is 'ugh'? I look bad or something?"
