I in no way own My Hero Academia/ Boku No Hero Academia.

For those of you who read my Thor Izuku fic, it's not dead, I just need some time to get the gears rolling with that one.

It was the day before the Sports Festival, and finally they were back in the classroom, doing a bunch of math and reading stuff from home was SUPER boring, it was nice to see caterpillar sensei again, even though he was still bandaged up.

"Alright, remember you are representing only yourselves in this tournament, you are going to show what you are capable of doing, got that?" Aizawa asked his class, he somehow brushed off the fact that he was covered in bandages and maintained his tired voice.

"Yes sir!" They all responded, and with that the class was dismissed and they got to spend the rest of homeroom to themselves, as Aizawa would usually leave homeroom early since he had nothing else to do with the class.

"Hey Deku, since you somehow ended up as the fucking class rep, ask Aizawa if I can use my gauntlets!" The pomeranian barked from his seat in front of the resident cinnamon roll, he had gone back to his usual self after the USJ.

"Bakugo, you can't just say something so rude to our fellow classmate!" Iida yelled and chopped as he approached the two.

Izuku waved his hand in front of his face, dismissing his friend's worries. "N-No, Iida it's fine, really." Izuku heard three grumbles at his response. "P-Plus, I've been t-trying for years….I needed to go t-talk with one of the other teachers anyways…" He trailed off as he stood up and grabbed his bag.

"Really? Which one Midoriya?" Iida asked, yet he did not get a response. Only a tense looking Izuku, with eyes of determination, that walked out of the classroom, or at least tried to.

He was met with a crowd of people, the rest of the first year student body to be exact.

"Uh...hello, can I help you guys?" Izuku asked, thank god he had become more social over the past year or he'd be dying right now, yet all those social skills seemed to be drooping.

Izuku got some fangirling in response, some people pointed out that he was the class representative, while others talked about the USJ, and one singular boy with lilac colored hair approached Izuku.

"They're scouting out the competition." The lilac boy said. He had unkempt hair that rivaled that of Izuku's and bags under his eyes that would make people think he was Aizawa's son. "And so am I. We all wanted to enter the hero course, but we weren't as fortunate or blessed as you people. And so we got shoved into other courses." The boy finished.

Izuku gulped, the man was releasing Killing Intent, though it was very weak, nowhere near what he had experience before, yet his words had weight to them, a lot of weight. "But lucky for us, if we do well in the Sports Festival, we'll be able to take one of your spots." The man gained a wicked grin, even spoopier than that of Bakugo.

"Like any of you extras, could compete with us." Bakugo barged into the conversation, partly laughing that all these people that weren't even able to get into the hero course were "scouting out the competition." he then proceeded to give death glares to all the extras that were in his way. "Deku, what the fuck, hurry your ass up!" He yelled, causing Izuku to remember why he needed to leave in the first place.

He moved his way through the crowd, getting stares of envy, love, and sometimes a mixture of both. "W-Well, see you guys during the S-Sports Festival." and a yell of someone calling him cool, then that same person proceeded to yell at Bakugo. 'You won't get anywhere Tetsu.'

"No, he can't use his gauntlets."

"T-Thought so….anyways thanks Mr. Aizawa." Izuku left the teacher's lounge, he was hoping All Might was there too, but he wasn't sadly.

He hadn't had much time to talk to his mentor in the past two weeks, yet it'd felt like months boarding even years. While he could talk to Tamada and Kokoro, they were there to help with his elemental powers, he hadn't progressed much with One For All in the two weeks, but he did have it at 10% now.

'Just give it time kid, he'll probably talk to you tomorrow, don't worry' Kokoro encouraged him.

'Yeah Midoriya, it'll all be fine.' Tamada followed suit.

'Y-Yeah, I know...just- I don't know….' Izuku had arrived at the cafeteria, feeling not drained, just sad in a sense. 'H-How am I supposed to get better i-if he can't be h-here to teach me..'

'We'll figure it out, squirt!'

'That we will, so don't fret about it Midoriya!'

'T-Thanks.. gu-'

"Izuku!"

"Oh, h-hey Ochako!" Izuku was broken out of his thoughts by his….friend…yeah….that's the right word

"You okay, ya looked out of it?" Ochako asked, worry in her eyes as Izuku's behavior was becoming more and more not Izuku.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, just- you know the Sports Festival is tomorrow and I'm nervous is all." He offered a smile that soothed Ochako's worries, yet they still remained slightly, and they both went to sit down at the table they always sit at, this time however, accompanied by Ibara and Itsuka.

Izuku, as always, sat next to Iida. He was the only other boy at the table and Izuku would frequently ask his blue friend how everything at the Ingenium Agency was, and how it was to be the younger brother of such an amazing pro hero. Yet today, nothing...not a single word, not a single sound...

Izuku just prodded at his food with his utensil, he didn't even eat, he didn't feel like eating, 'The Sports Festival is the biggest event in the whole world, what if I messed up, what if I don't make a big splash, what if I make All Might second guess his choice.' Izuku thought as he began repeatedly stabbing his food.

'Hey kid, you know they're gonna start worrying.'

'I believe they already have.'

Izuku looked up from his spot to his friends staring at him, all of them had looks of worry, even Ibara and Shoko, who's faces barely changed at all.

"Midoriya are you alright?"

"Y-Yeah, Izuku, ya look out of it again."

"Do you need to relax or a prayer, Midoriya-san?"

"What's up Izuku?"

"Do you need to go back to the dorms Izuku?"

"S-Sorry guys, I...didn't mean to worry you…" He was about to rub the back of his head until he heard thunderous noises coming from the hall and from the door.

"YOUNG MIDORIYA IS HERE!" All Might rocketed his way into the cafeteria, shocking most of the students and then pointed to the boy in question.

'Welp, there you go kid, he's here now.' Kokoro commented, the only person that said anything, though nobody heard

"A-All Might, what are you doing here!" Izuku shot out of his seat.

"Lunch, wanna eat with me?" All Might pulled out a lunch bag that he seemed to have made himself judging from the outward appearance.

'That's so cute!' Momo, Itsuka and Ochako all thought in unison.

Izuku looked towards his friend group and they all either gave him smiles or nods, though hesitantly, with the slight reassurance Izuku got up with his food tray and followed the pro to his office. Though the walk was admittedly quiet and awkward. Just the sound of their feed on the floor, the rattling of All Might's back, and the sound of the two coughing into their hands.

"S-So All Might, I'm guessing you don't want to j-just chat." Izuku said as they approached the pro teacher's new office.

"While that is true Young Midoriya, why was that your first thought?" All Might asked while they reached the office, the pro deflated as to reserve time in case of emergency and they both took seats on opposing couches, the sunlight fading in from the windows that were partially covered by curtains.

"N-No reason, so what did you want to t-talk to me about?" All Might gave Izuku a cup of tea, 'Good lie Good lie' Kokoro commented.

'Aw crap, tea is a thing that little mouse shit does, right?' Kokoro said as Izuku took the cup and waited for All Might to speak up.

"I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but the Sports Festival is a major sporting event, surpassing that of even the old Olympics, you NEED to make a big splash here Young Midoriya." All Might said, proceeding to sip some of his tea. His tone seemed serious, a tone Izuku didn't think All Might could produce as he seemed to be terrible with teaching and the sorts.

Izuku took some deep breaths, and found confidence to speak clearly, just like Tamada taught him. "I know, and I promise I'll tell the world that "I am here"" Clear and confident yet very quiet and soft.

"I know you will kid, and I'm sorry about what's been going on, there's just been a ton of paperwork to do, especially after-"

"The USJ?" Izuku asked as he gripped harder onto his tea cup. The memories fluttering him. It was only by chance that the monster threw him into the lake, it was only by chance he learned about his healing powers, he could've-no should've died then, but he didn't...

"Y-Yes, and I'm sorry I wasn't there fast enough Young Midoriya…" There was an awkward silence, far from comfortable for both parties.

"No." Izuku said quietly, barely over a whisper, blending in with the sound of the curtain rattling with the small amount of wind that was coming into the office.

'Let's go kid!'

'Our Midoriya has confidence now.'

"It's fine, if I didn't act out there, then I don't believe I should've decided to be a hero." Izuku said quietly, it sunk in, though the awkward silence still remained, but All Might had a smile on his face, while Izuku's head moved down to look at the ground.

"You'll become a great hero Young Midoriya, you already have done such amazing things, now all you have to do is show the world that you exist." Izuku's head shot up at the statement, eyes slightly watery.

'Aw damn it, he said something motivational! It's not that big a deal, calm down!'

'It's ok to cry every once and a while Kokoro.'

"I-" Izuku was on the verge of tears. Though he had heard these words before, the reassurance, it hit him like a truck, while he was having fun with his classmates and the 1-B students, lately all the what-ifs that could've happened were a plague on his mind, " I will All Might!" The dam broke and the tears fled through, yet his voices sounded so confident and full of compassion.

"Good, now you should probably head back, class is gonna start soon." All Might had a smile on his face, he was happy, plain and simple.

"R-Right."

It was the day of the festival, the day some had been waiting for, the day some had been dreading.

All of the first year classes had reached the arena, and they each were put into a room depending on which class they were in, and currently most of Class 1-A was either goofing around, just chatting, talking about the upcoming events, or sitting around. Though Izuku was at the table supplied and was thinking about what could possibly happen today, all the bad outcomes, some of hte good ones, and even a repeat of the USJ.

"Izuku." Said man looked to his left to see Shoko, she seemed very serious. "This isn't going to turn out the same way during the battle trials." Izuku's eyes exploded open as he remembered the battle trials, while most of his memories were about the pain of lightning Absolute Sight, he did remember that Shoko lost to him in a fight, well lost was an understatement.

Izuku rose from his chair and met the shorter girl's gaze. "I made a promise to someone that I'd do well in this tournament Sho, I'm not gonna lose that easily." He said, tone of voice matching the Ice Queen's.

"Talk big all you want Deku, Half n Half, I'm gonna kick all your asses!" Bakugo screamed approaching the two. Hands in his pocket, a stupid expression on his face.

"No one was talking to you Bakugo." Shoko said coldly.

"Ooooh, I'm so scared, yeah right! As if shitty Deku could match up to me! And you lost to him! Then there's the rest of you extras, yeah, no way I'm gonna lose this!" The pomeranian had a shit eating grin on his face, he was so confident that his victory was already assured.

"Bakugo, did you forget that Midoriya scored highest on the Entrance Exam?" Iida said from his own corner.

Bakugo visually riled up and gained a tick mark on his forehead, "Like hell that matte-"

"ALL CLASSES REPORT TO THE TUNNEL FOR INTRODUCTIONS!" Present Mic screamed over the intercoms, or maybe he didn't, he may have just screamed normally it was Present Mic after all, his poors parents...their poor ears...

Izuku went to the door of the room, as he was the "leader" of 1-A, "Everyone ready?"

Bakugo smirked, bloodlust in his eyes as he was ready for a fight, Iida gave a confirming nod he was prepared for the upcoming events, Momo Ochako and Shoko all gave him smiles, reassuring him that everything was going to be ok, and the rest of the class yelled "YEAH!"

The doorknob turned and with a bit of force the door opened. The class calmly walked into the hallway, being the first since they were Class 1-A, and were subsequently followed by Class 1-B, so on and so forth.

'This is it kid. No turning back.'

'I know that!'

'We know, just some encouragement Midoriya!'

'DO YOUR BEST!'

"AND FROM THE TUNNEL WE HAVE THE CLASS THAT WAS ALREADY DEALT WITH VILLAINS, AND TOOK 'EM DOWN! THEY'RE FROM THE HERO COURSE, IT'S 1-A!" The crowd roared with replies.

"And we have the others-" Izuku sweatdropped at the rest of the introductions, he even heard groans from behind him how they were only there to make the hero courses look better and stuff like that. And while Izuku could understand why they'd want to hype up 1-A, there were other people that worked there butts off to get into this school, doing that seemed to discredit all of their hard work.

'Hope you got your speech ready Midoriya.'

'I do…..'

They reached the middle of the arena and observed the chief referee, the 18+ Hero: Midnight. Some commented on her clothing, people like Mineta liking it, everyone else feeling uncomfortable about it, and others feeling self conscious.

'How big are those thi-'

'NOT NOW KOKORO'

All of the talk was cut short when the pro cracked her whip, and assumed a pose, hips leaning to a side with her hand on said hip.

"Like all previous years, we will have the top scorer from the Entrance Exam, give their student pledge!" Midnight yelled from the podium. All of the students looked towards 1-A and all of 1-A looked towards Izuku. Said boy sweatdropped, it was time, he was ready, he was ready, he was...who was he kidding he wasn't ready.

'Now or never Midoriya.'

'Let's go kid.'

'G-Got it.' Izuku gulped as he left his class group.

Izuku walked up to where Midnight was, he took the podium, mic in its holster, facing the crowd, 'not the students, but it's a student pledge.' He thought. Izuku's jaw quivered for a second, his hand shakily grabbing the mic and tapping it.

Izuku took the mic from its holster, and turned around towards the students, his peers, his rivals in a sense, he breathed in and out.

"What Present Mic did was wrong." Everyone shot their heads up at the sentence. "Here with us today, we have 1-B of the Hero Course, though not as popular still very strong, Classes C, D and E of General Studies, though not in the hero course, they were still smart enough to secure a spot in UA, Classes F, G and H of the Support Course, with their help hero course students are going to get better and better gear when they go pro, and Classes I, J and K, building the foundation for the future of hero society."

Izuku paused and turned back towards the crowd.

He tensed up as he saw the ginormous crowd, he did his breathing again just like Tamada taught him, he proceeded to lower his head."Though I am part of the hero course, no one ever believed in me for fourteen years…" Many people quieted down from that. "Everyone said I had a weak quirk, that if I became a hero I'd die within my first day, that I'd be useless to anyone and everyone...no one believed in Deku." Izuku remembered the events of the past year, meeting All Might, then proceeding to meet both Momo and Ochako, training with them and becoming friends, getting One For All, the entrance exam, meeting Shoko and having fun with her and helping her two, hanging out with 1-B and Itsuka. "Until last year when I met one person, and they said that I could be a hero. You only need one person to believe, and a lot of hard work."

His head rose up again and he looked back towards the sea of students, "I believe that each and everyone of you here can be heroes. No matter your background, history, or quirk." He gained a smile on his face. "After all this is UA, right?"

Many of the students that weren't in the hero course looked shocked, Izuku's voice sounded so gentle, he was telling the truth, and those that were in the hero course looked proud, "We have to work our way to the top, and I believe, wait that's not right-, I KNOW that everyone here can do that, after all we UA students have to go beyond-"

"PLUS ULTRA!" His arm pumped into the air and the entire crowd and student body joined in for that last part.

Needless to say, that went well, and Izuku put the mic back in its holster and went back towards his class. While they were going to congratulate him on that speech they were interrupted by Midnight calling out that the first event was going to be called out.

A spinning wheel with all the events was brought out and with a crack of her whip it came to life stopping at-

"OBSTACLE COURSE!"

Alright, so I am ending that there, just so you know the Sports Festival will be over multiple chapters unlike the USJ.

Like last time does anyone want lemons? Someone in the reviews said they did, and I cave into peer pressure soooooo you'll probably get them, I just need to read a bunch of Yojimbra fics and Total Command so I can make them good.

Also someone said they wanted Nejire in the harem or they'd sue me…..how would you feel about that, honestly I'm not against it, I'd just have a hard time writing it in as I am small brain.

But that's all, and I hope you come back for more next time.
