A green flash engulfed the room, followed by the snapping of chains.
Agnès froze not daring to look behind her, gripping the blade she had previously threatened Marinette with. A now transformed Marinette stood with all the power the Miraculous of Destruction would impose on her. Agnès quivered on the spot. If she did not turn around, this new reality was not so.
"You have a choice Agnès." The low soft purr which came from behind her sent shivers down her spine. "You can either cooperate with me and hope they go easy on you, or, you find out what happens to government agents in prison when they lock you up and throw away the key." There was a smirk that could be heard, a confidence which had appeared with the transformation. "The choice is yours."
Agnès thought she had been dealing with Ladybug's civilian self, she did not think this outcome would be possible. The blade in Agnès' hand caught the light cascading though the window, unaware, she had just shown her last resort to our newly black cladded heroine.
"Don't do anything stupid Agnès." The warning growl had Agnès filled with dread.
"Wh-what are you going to-to do to m-me?" Agnès asked with a shaky breath, still refusing to turn around and face her former captive. Agnès was aware that Marinette was no longer her prisoner, she was now, in Agnès' mind, toying with her former captor.
"Agnès, I'm the hero," she heard the reply, which was laced in feign hurt, "Although I do not hold the transformation of creation at this moment, I am still the good guy." The feeling which came with this Miraculous was different, the excitement of new energy caused Marinette to feel different, act different. It was as if a dark side she never knew she had was coming to the surface.
Agnès finally turned to face a transformed Marinette. Covered in tight seamless leather, the costume merged with her curves flawlessly. Midnight hair sat a top her head in a bun, accompanied by two cat ears as her newly acquired tail swished lazily behind her. The fully, piercing green eyes shining in the dark at her, gave Agnès the chills and the smirk which lay on the hero's lips, made her appear all the more menacing.
Black boots sounded out, as Marinette walked casually to Agnès. Effortlessly pulling the blade from her sweaty palm, the two women's eyes locked on each other's.
"Now, we either go back the way we came, or cat-apult out of the window," green eyes pierced through a terrified Agnès. Marinette wondered why she was feeling so menacing, but it was an urge she could not fight away. The woman in front of her was quaking with fear, and Marinette was acutely awarer of her ability to pulverise her with minimal effort. This would be why Adrien had been given the Miraculous of destruction and not her, although perfect for Tikki, Marinette was tied to her emotions. Emotions which were running high after the threats made and the feeling of destruction at her finger tips became dangerous. Now Marinette could see why so many of Plagg's charges had gone rogue.
"Go-go back the way we c-came?"
"You're no fun," Marinette drawled as she tilted her head as a thought crossed her mind. "What has happened to Adrien?"
Agnès changed. Her eyes shifted darkly, emitting an evil glare. For the first time in the suit, Marinette was fearful. Keeping her cool, not to give anything away, Marinette watched as a mirthful grin graced the face of her foe.
"His father drugged you both," she spoke softly, with a hint of malice. "Gabriel added something to your beverages, but I added a little something extra to his."
Not hiding her panic anymore, clawed hands gripped Agnès bringing her centimetres away from the mask.
"What did you do!" The growl in Marinette's voice vibrated through the both of them. Anger prominently bubbling to the surface, the tingling sensation of a cataclysm just begging to be called at her finger tips.
"He's sedated," Agnès replied almost too calmly, "couldn't have him coming to your rescue, something might have happened to him."
"You're sick and twisted," Agnès found herself abruptly thrown to the floor, Marinette's hand raised above the woman. "Tell me why I shouldn't end you now!"
Fear washed over Agnès' face momentarily, before the darkness returned. "Because you're the hero."
"He's sweating," Gabriel heard Nathalie's voice coming from Adrien's room as he lingered on the other side of his door. "What do I do?"
"I think we call an ambulance Nathalie," a voice Gabriel did not recognise replied. He narrowed his eyes as he waited for his suspicions to be confirmed. "He needs a doctor, I have never seen this reaction to a concoction out of the book before."
"Keep an eye on him while I make the call," Gabriel heard Nathalie walk a few paces, "I need to tell Gabriel," the panic was clear in Nathalie's voice. "This has gone too far."
Gabriel barged into the room with a satisfied look on his face. "It was only a matter of time I see." He looked triumphantly to Nathalie, before turning his attention elsewhere.
Gabriel saw two Kwami hovering over Adrien, with a shocked and fearful Nathalie standing between them. "Gabriel I-"
"Was going to tell me?" He approached her menacingly, "The Kwami of creation is in my son's room and you neglected to tell me this tiny detail?" He clicked his tongue and shook his head in a mock disapproval motion. "Nathalie," he purred, "how could you?"
"Gabriel, please," Nathalie begged, as she drew closer to Adrien in an attempt to force the designer to focus on her. "He needs medical attention."
Gabriel let out a hollow laugh, the man looked deranged with the prospect of his plan falling into place. "I have the Kwami of Creation within my grasps, none of this will matter when I get my hands on their Miraculous!" He raised a determined fist into the air. "All I have to do is embrace this advantage I have," he looked calculating to his unconscious son, "and use whatever means necessary to manipulate the civilian who possesses it to hand it over."
Nathalie and the Kwami exchanged uncertain looks praying that Marinette would be transformed when she arrived, while Gabriel formulated the execution of his plot silently with glee.
Rena and Carapace circled the mansion several times looking for an inconspicuous entrance. They need to get in side with out causing too much attention to keep their element of surprise. From the information they had been given, there was no sign of Adrien or Marinette when the gentleman, who had identified himself as Chase, had gained entrance to the residence earlier in the day. Rena was losing her patience as they perched on the rooftop of the mansion.
"We need to get inside."
"Unless we crash through a window, I don't see how we are going to anytime soon."
Desperation seeping through as they found no obvious way the gain entry. All doors had been locked, all windows were shut and the only window which looked like it did not have some sort of toughened glass in it was a big circular one at the very most top of the house. They were currently positioned, crouching above said window, assessing their options.
"I think its the only way in. You ready?" Rena looked to her partner, determination mirrored in their eyes.
"As ready as I'll ever be," he nodded, as he swooped down from his perch just above the window. Using his shield to make contact and absorb the impact of the hard glass as it shattered under his momentum.
Shards of glass spilled out onto the floor, as his eyes adjusted quickly to the dark room, zoning in on two figures. One on the floor and one crouched over, hand held high. Before Carapace could do anything, Rena came from behind tackling the figure poised to harm off the vulnerable person on the floor.
"Rena?!" Marinette looked over in unexpected astonishment to meet the eyes of her best friend, who was lying a foot or so away after tumbling from the tackle. Her face breaking into a smile, they hastened to get to her feet.
Agnès stared at the trio now looming over her. She recognised the new additions to the room as two of the additional heroes of Paris. Not liking her chances of getting out of this ordeal unscathed, she resigned herself by kneeling up and putting her wrists together in front of her.
"what are we going to do with her?" Carapace asked with concern. Rena surveyed the woman for a moment and Marinette stared tight lipped. Agnès would be brought to justice for her crimes, but right now, Marinette, in a surprisingly out of character way, wished she could be the one to bestow the punishment.
Dejectedly Agnès sighed, "I can't do this anymore, just take me in before I try anything else."
The heroes were taken aback. "What's with the sudden submission?" Marinette asked skeptically, eyeing the woman on her knees.
"I'm not stupid," she spat, her demeanour changing instantly, the menacing grin returned. "Hopefully you'll reach that boyfriend of yours before it's too late!"
It's been a while hasn't it!

This is my 7th update in 8 days, and my Mr has definitely had enough of proof reading for a while. Hopefully, with my eye injections starting at the end of the month he won't be needing to do it for much longer! I hope to hear your thoughts on this so far, and if you like what you've read please take a look at some of my other stories and let me know what you think.
