Aliya POV

Aliya woke up the next morning to the sun shining down on her. She opened her eyes and yawned, rubbing her eyes. Aliya got out of bed and walked over to the window. She could see Hagrid's hut in the distance, smoke coming out of the chimney. She continued looking out the window for a few more seconds then turned around and got dressed into a sweatshirt and jeans. She was glad no one got rid of her trunk. Otherwise she would be left with only her hogwarts uniform.

Aliya quietly headed out of the dormitory. Not wanting to wake anyone. She assumed Hermione was already up since she wasn't in bed.

When Aliya entered the common room she was not surprised to see Hermione sitting in the armchair reading. Harry and Ron were playing wizarding chess at the table in front of Hermione and Crookshanks was batting at Ron's chess pieces.

"Hermione, get your bloody cat away from the chess board!" Ron said, pushing Crookshanks away.

"Why don't you move him if he's bothering you so much." Hermione said crossley.

"Because he won't let me and he is your cat! Get him under control!"

Hermione scowled, pulling Crookshanks away from Ron.

"Good morning." Aliya said, walking over.

"Morning." Ron said, not bothering to look up.

"Good morning." Hermione said.

"You guys have breakfast yet?" Aliya asked, walking over.

Harry shook his head.

"We were waiting for you." Hermione said. "But now that you're here we can HEAD DOWN NOW." Hermione said loud enough so Ron would hear.

"I can hear you just fine without shouting." Ron said, growing frustrated.

"Just making sure." Hermione said, standing up.

Silently they all made their way down to the great hall. As they were headed down the hall Aliya felt something cold hit her in the back of her head.

Aliya whirled around to see Peeves with a handful of snowballs.

Aliya opened her mouth to say something only to be hit in the face with a snowball.

Then Peeves started chucking snowballs at the four of them mercilessly.

"Run!" Ron shouted.

They all took off still being pelted by snowballs. Then they skidded to a stop finding themselves face to face with Snape.

Snape raised an eyebrow at them.

"Think you can get away with whatever you want do you?" Snape asked slowly. "Running and yelling in the halls."

"No." Harry said. "We were running because Peeves was throwing snowballs at us."

Snape stared coldly at each of them.

"I don't see any snow on any of you." Snape said, smirking.

"He was." Harry said, glaring at Snape.

"A liar just like your father. You think you can get away with anything you want don't you Potter." Snape said, coldly.

"I'm not lying and I don't think I can get away with anything." Harry said, gritting his teeth.

"Ten points from each of you. Maybe now you'll learn to follow the rules." Snape said, walking away.

"Hate Snape." Harry muttered as they started walking again.

"Who doesn't." Ron said.

"Slytherins." Aliya said, matter of factly.

Harry scoffed.

"Have you seen how he treats malfoy?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Everything that malfoy does wrong somehow is my fault in Snape's eyes."

"Malfoy is his favorite student."

Together they all entered the great hall. They seated themselves across from Ginny, Dean, Seamus and Neville.

"Blimey. Aliya when did you get here?" Dean asked, astonished.

"Friday." Aliya said as she grabbed a bowl of fruit.

"What happened?" Ginny asked.

"Did you run off? Knowing that exams were not far away?" Seamus asked.

"No. I somehow got transported to another world." Aliya said.

"Yeah. That world has people called hobbits, elves, dwarves, orcs and more!" Ron said excitedly.

"Tell us everything." Ginny said.

Aliya told them everything. She told them all about her adventure with the fellowship and what King Thranduil had told her about the necklace.

"Awsome." Dean said, once Aliya finished.

"Are you going to go back?" Neville asked.

"I actually don't know. There is too much for me here to leave now." Aliya said, "I want to go back but I also want to stay here."

"How about you finish this year and next year then go back." Ginny said, "The school year is almost over. We leave next weekend."

"Good idea. I think I'll do that but I don't know if I will want to go back. I might still have the problem I have now. I'll go tell Dumbledore." Aliya said, standing up.

She walked up to the staff table and up to Dumbledore.

"Professor? I was wondering if I could actually stay for the rest of the school year." She said.

"Of course." Dumbledore said.

"Aliya?" Said a gruff voice.

Aliya turned and saw Hagrid looking at her from the end of the staff table.

"Hagrid!" Aliya said running forward.

She walked around the table and threw her arms around him.

"Where have you been?" Hagrid asked.

"Long story." Aliya said.

"Well I'm glad yer back." Hagrid said happily.

"How's Fang doing?"

"He's doin' fine. He's had a lot of energy lately. Always runnin' roun' the grounds. I constantly have ter keep an eye on him makin' sure he ain't chasin' any of the students."

"He's been chasing them?"

"Yeah. Tryin' to play with some of them. An' it turns out that there are specific students that he doesn' really like."

"Who?"

"Well you could say malfoy is one of em. Jus' the other day I caught Fang chasin' him and then Fang pounced on him, pinning him to the ground an' growling at him."

"I thought Fang was a coward though."

"Not when it comes to people. He's no coward when it comes to people."

"Oh. I see. Well I better get going."

"Alrigh' well it was nice talkin' to yeh."

Aliya headed back to her seat and sat down with everyone. Once they all finished their food Harry, Ron Hermione and Aliya headed outside and sat down at the foot of the beach tree by the river. The same tree where James, Sirius, Remus and Peter sat.

"So. You are staying for your seventh year?" Ron asked.

"Yes. I am not excited for the N.E.W.T exams though." Aliya responded.

"I don't think any of us are." Harry said.

Legolas POV

Legolas woke up to the sound of birds outside his window. He lifted his head realizing what time it was then dropped it back down onto the pillow. He had a meeting with his father and a few other elves but he was in no mood to attend the meeting.

Legolas closed his eyes trying to fall back asleep. He laid there for a good fifteen minutes until he heard someone knock on his door.

"Enter." Legolas mumbled. All he wanted to do was sleep.

Legolas heard the sound of someone entering his room and shutting the door. He opened his eyes to see his father standing there looking down at him with his arms crossed. He had forgotten that his father had no problem seeking him out himself if he was late.

"Legolas you need to get up or else you will be late." Thranduil said, walking over and opening the blinds.

Legolas moaned in frustration as the sun beamed down on him.

"Can't I skip this one meeting?" Legolas asked.

"No. You are a prince ion nin so you must act it. It is your job to attend meetings."

"Isn't that your job?"

Thranduil sighed in frustration. He had no idea what had gotten into Legolas and is causing him to act like this. All he knew was whatever was causing this kind of behaviour from his son Thranduil hated. He knew Legolas was better than this.

"Legolas. If you are not up in the next fifteen minutes I will make sure you will have to attend more meetings in the future." Thranduil said as he exited the room.

Legolas sighed and forced himself out of bed. He got dressed, braided his hair and with an extra ten minutes to spare headed down towards the kitchen.

Once he got there he carefully looked around the corner only to see two chefs in the kitchen and luckily they were both distracted.

Careful and quietly Legolas snuck into the kitchen and grabbed an apple and a role. Just as he was about to leave one of the chefs stopped him.

"Hey!" One of the chefs shouted, spotting Legolas.

"Put that food back!" The other chef shouted.

Legolas spared one last look at the chefs then bolted out of the kitchen. He quickly glanced back to see the chef named Calanon chasing after him. Legolas quickly took a bite out of his apple then took a sharp left and retreated to his bedroom knowing the chef would not follow. He then quickly finished his apple and muffin then headed to the meeting room.

Once he got there Legolas saw his father sitting at the end of the table. He walked over and sat on the right side, closet to his father.

"What's this meeting about?" Legolas asked, looking at Thranduil.

"We will be discussing what we are going to do about the remaining orcs." Thranduil said.

Legolas nodded and watched as elf lords entered the room and soon Thranduil started the meeting.

Legolas looked around at all of the elves. He could see Lord Elrond of Rivendell, Lord Celeborn and Lothlorien and Lord Círdan of Lindon.

"Thank you for inviting us here king Thranduil." Celeborn said.

Thranduil gave a small nod in return.

"Now. Has anyone…" Thranduil started.

Legolas drifted off into his mind and found himself thinking about Aliya. He missed her so much. He wished he could have gone with her but even if he could he wouldn't. He has too much to do in Middle Earth and besides he doesn't want to leave home.

Just then Legolas was brought out of his thoughts hearing his father's voice calling his name.

"What?" Legolas asked.

"Were all the orcs at Mordor destroyed?" Thranduil asked.

"Yes."

"So then the rest must have been hidden away." Elrond said.

"It would not surprise me if they were hiding in the Mirkwood forest." Círdan said.

"And what do you mean by that?" Thranduil asked dangerously.

"I was just saying how you keep yourself so sheltered that you probably don't realize the orcs." Círdan said.

Legolas saw Elrond tense up knowing what was to come and Celeborn readying himself.

"Sheltered?!" Thranduil asked harshly.

"Well-" Círdan started just to be cut off by Thranduil.

"You think we are sheltered?! Well let me tell you this, we are not sheltered! In a matter of fact I send my guards on patrol and this forest has been searched multiple times and not a single orc or a spider even has been found!" Thranduil yelled.

Legolas saw Elrond flinch.

"I'm sorry my lord. I was simply going to suggest that you search a few more-" Círdan started quietly but got cut off.

"DON'T TELL ME HOW TO RULE MY KINGDOM!!" Thranduil yelled.

"I apologize. I stepped out of line. I am not in charge of your kingdom-" Celeborn cut Círdan off before he could get into any more trouble.

"Perhaps the orcs have a few hiding places that we don't know about." Celeborn said.

"I know of one. I just don't know where it is." Legolas said. "It's in a hidden cave somewhere near the north of Lothlorien."

"I will have my guards patrol that area." Celeborn said.

"Anything else Legolas?" Thranduil asked.

Legolas shook his head.

"Well I think that just about covers everything for today." Thranduil said, standing up.

Everyone bid their farewells as they left.

Legolas was about to leave when Thranduil stopped him.

"Legolas. I would like to speak with you." Thranduil said. "Come with me."

Then Thranduil headed out and headed towards his bedroom.

Legolas followed, not knowing what his father wanted.

Once they reached Thranduil's room he opened the door and they both headed in. Thranduil shut the door behind him then headed over to Legolas who had seated himself on the couch in front of the fire. Thranduil sat down next to him.

"What's wrong ion nin? You've seemed very distracted lately." Thranduil said softly.

"It's nothing. I'm fine." Legolas said.

Thranduil simply shook his head and placed his hand on Legolas'.

"Legolas. It's obvious something's wrong."

"I told you I'm fine."

"Legolas."

Legolas sighed.

"Alright I'm not fine. It's just that I miss Aliya." Legolas said, looking at the floor. "I never thought it would come to this."

"Come to what?"

"Come to her leaving. I-I just thought if she did end up leaving I would have been able to handle it better."

Thranduil sighed and put his arm around Legolas. He had no idea that Aliya meant so much to him.

"She'll never return will she." Legolas said gravely. "I mean she is deciding between here and home. I would be shocked if she decided to come back when her family is home."

"Only time will tell. But you are right Legolas." Thranduil said softly.
