Before Aliya knew it two weeks had already passed.
Aliya and Legolas walked down the halls towards the kitchen. Once they got there their jaws dropped. Sitting on the table were seven beautiful chocolate cakes.
"How are we ever going to choose just one." Said Aliya.
"By simply picking the one you like best." An elf said, stepping out from behind the cakes.
"Let me introduce myself I am Lithon. One of the head chefs here." Lithon said. "This is Roston."
Roston stepped into view. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes while Lithon had blonde hair and blue eyes.
"And I'm Eithriél." An elleth said, walking into the room. She had long dark ginger hair and hazel eyes.
Eithriél walked over and stood with Roston and Lithon. Lithon was the tallest out of all of them.
"Now which one do you like best?" Lithon asked.
Aliya and Legolas both exchanged looks before saying, "I don't know."
"Wow I guess we really did a good job." Roston said.
"A good job and the fact that the prince has always had a liking to everything that is made here." Lithon said.
"Hey we're not talking about me right now." Legolas cut in.
"What do you mean by that?" Aliya asked Lithon.
"He likes the food so much to the point where whenever he gets hungry he simply sneaks down here and snatches up whatever he wants." Lithon said, crossing his arms.
Aliya looked questioningly at Legolas.
"He does, does he?" Thranduil's voice said from behind.
"Busted." Roston whispered.
Legolas looked at Roston and gave him a warning look.
"What are you doing here adar (father)? I thought you were busy." Legolas said.
"I was and still am. I just wanted to come down and see if you have made your decision." Thranduil said, looking at each cake.
"We actually haven't." Legolas said.
"They all look too good." Aliya added.
"Indeed that is true." Thranduil said. "Well I better get going. Choose wisely."
Legolas and Aliya turned back to the cakes when Thranduil left.
"I already know of one that I don't want." Legolas said.
"Which would that be?" Eithriél asked, looking at the cakes.
"That one." Legolas said, showing her a three layer chocolate cake with a white frosting design.
"Yeah I'm not too fond of that one either." Aliya agreed.
"Alright that eliminates one. What about the rest?" Lithon asked.
"Well now that I see them all I kinda actually like…" Aliya said, looking at the cakes.
"That one." Aliya and Legolas said pointing at a chocolate cake with a white flower design on it.
"It's just the right size and it's not too simple but also not too busy." Aliya said.
"We have a winner." Roston said.
"Good decision. Now if you could give your attention we have some complaints." Two voices said from the doorway.
Aliya and Legolas turned to see Pipp and Merry standing in the doorway.
"What is this about?" Legolas asked.
"Follow me please. This is not the right place to discuss this. This is a very important matter." Merry said, walking out of the room and turning down the hall.
Aliya and Legolas followed them down the hall and out into the garden.
"Now what is this all about?" Legolas asked, leaning up against a tree.
"It's about your food choices." Pipp said.
"What about it?" Aliya asked.
All of the sudden the hobbits' expressions changed. Pipp looked as if he had been slapped in the face and Merry looked insulted.
"What?" Legolas asked.
Pipp took a few deep breaths before saying, "Listen. I hate to break it to you but your food choices are like a hobbits lunch."
"This is a wedding isn't it? The salad and fruit salad is fine. Perfect actually." Merry continued.
"It's just your other three. The ones that are your main meal. You don't want a hobbit meal at a wedding." Pipp said.
"Let alone an elven wedding. Those tend to be a little more fancy shmancy then hobbit, human or dwarf weddings." Merry said.
"I never thought of that." Legolas said.
"Thank you for pointing this out to us." Aliya said. "But what are we going to do for main meals now?"
"We could have Filet Mignon and fish." Legolas said.
"Perfect." Aliya said.
"I'll go tell my father." Legolas said, walking away.
"Is that why you guys came here?" Aliya asked, looking at Pipp and Merry.
"Yes." Pipp said.
"Oh and would you look at the time. Somehow we made it here just in time for afternoon tea." Merry said, trying to sound surprised.
"Wow what a coincidence." Pipp said, walking away with Merry.
Aliya shook her head happily.
"Hobbits." She said.
Hi guys! So I am no longer putting the elvish translations at the bottom. I will be putting them next to the elvish word. Also I am using several different elvish translators and sights so if anything is a little off please bear with me. If anyone knows of a reliable elvish translator sight please let me know!
