Asami is a genius, even by the Nara Clans usual standards. A genius with a tragic past, sure, but still a genius. Her blood family was taken from at a young age, and her name is actually Kagemori, but she doesn't know that. But it doesn't matter, because she's a genius. And the world damn-well better not forget it. Oc insert, pairings undecided (let me know what you think).

Personality: Relaxed and sarcastic outside of battle, but then inside she becomes focused and calculating. She's willing to work with others when necessary, though prefers to work alone, and always has a strategy. Loyal to those who she trusts but sometimes comes off cold. Extremely intelligent. She also has a soft spot for cats.

History: The Kagemori Clan branched off from the Nara during the Third Shinobi War, and was made up of some of the clans most gifted members who wished to take a more offensive role in the war. Not very much was known about them, but just think about the intellect of a Nara combined with physical strength rivalling the legendary Sannin...you get the picture. After playing a major part in ending the war, all members of the Kagemori were placed into a specially created branch of the ANBU Black Ops, and reported directly to the Hokage. This also meant that they were a major line of defense against the nine-tails. Unfortunately, all members of the small clan perished before the Fourth Hokage was able to stop the demon fox; all but one.

Asami was the first child to be born into the Kagemori, and the only member spared by the nine-tails attack. Still a newborn, Asami was taken in by the main family of the Nara Clan, and was raised in the compound along with the heads son, Shikamaru. She knows that she is not full Nara, but does not know what happened to her family. As a child, she showed great skill in Kenjutsu, and excelled in everything once in the academy.
