Aliya woke up the next morning still very cold. She opened her eyes and saw Legolas sitting at the side of her bed with his back turned to her just like she had been seated the other night.

"Good morning." Aliya said.

"Good morning beautiful." Legolas said, turning around smiling at her. "Do you feel alright? You look a little pale."

"I'm fine. Just a little out of it today. Aren't you supposed to be resting?" Aliya asked.

"Yes. I am. Halamar told me not to be active he never told me how to rest though. Aren't you supposed to be resting?"

Aliya was sitting up and getting ready to get out of bed.

"Yes but a person has to eat."

Aliya got out of bed and stood up with Legolas. The second she stood up Aliya felt a wave of nausea wash over her and she felt herself get extremely light headed and dizzy. The last thing she saw before she blacked out was the concerned face of her loved one.

Legolas POV

Legolas watched in horror and shock as Aliya passed out and fell. He quickly caught her and laid her back down in her bed. Then he took off in search for Hallamar.

Once Legolas found Halamar he quickly told him about everything and they both rushed back.

Legolas stood back while Halamar examined her checking for any infection on her cut. Some of the other healers watched with a concerned expression on their faces.

Finally Halamar spoke, "There is no infection on the cut. She must have taken in something that caused her to react like this. What she took in I don't have an answer to."

Legolas looked down at Aliya nervously and took her hand only to quickly let go. Her hand was freezing and she was very pale now.

"Will you be able to help her?" Legolas asked nervously.

"I'm hoping so. I will do everything I can." Halamar said. "Have you seen her eat or drink anything lately?"

"No. Only yesterday I saw her take medicine from a healer." Legolas said, sitting down on the edge of Aliya's bed.

"What healer?"

"I think it was Elanil."

"I will speak with-"

Suddenly something caught Legolas' eye.

"Wait! This is what Elanil gave her." Legolas said, holding a cup with a little bit of medicine in it.

Legolas handed it to Halamar and he examined it quickly.

"This was littered with poison." Halamar said.

Just then Legolas felt Aliya twitch and looked over at her and jumped up.

"Legolas what's…" Halamar trailed off when his eyes fell on Aliya, "Zentha, Ayla! Tolo hi! (Come now!) Bring bandages!"

Aliya's cut had reopened and started bleeding through the bandages and was now on her dress.

Halamar quickly moved her dress up just a tiny bit so he could see the cut.

Halamar looked up at Legolas. "Her cut is starting to get infected. I assume it was from the poison. " He said. "Will you take Elanil to your father and explain everything?"

Legolas nodded. Hate was starting to fill him. He hated Elanil for what she had done.

Zentha and Ayla came over with bandages and did everything Halamar told them. Then he stood up, an angry look on his face.

"Elanil!! Get na hi!(Get over here!)" Halamar shouted.

Elanil walked over looking slightly confused.

"Yes?" She asked.

"Glenn- na i aran plural erain or erein hi! (Go to the king now!)" Halamar yelled angrily. "The prince will be escorting you so don't even think of wandering off."

Legolas and Elanil walked down the hall silently until Elanil spoke.

"What is this all about?" She asked, looking at Legolas.

"You're not fooling anyone nor will you fool the king." Legolas said dangerously.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"What do you mean, what do I mean?!" Legolas snapped, "You know plenty well what you did."

Once they reached Thranduil's room Legolas pushed the door open and they both walked in.

"Legolas? What's going on?" Thranduil asked, looking at his raging son.

"Elanil tried to poison Aliya." Legolas said, through gritted teeth.

Thranduil's eyes widened in shock and anger.

"What?! No! I promise you I didn't!" Elanil said, breaking down into tears.

"Then who did it? You're the only one. There's no one else to blame." Thranduil said, standing up.

"I-I don't know who d-did it! B-but it wasn't me! I-Ive been here f-for five h-hundred years! I w-would never h-harm anyone!" Elanil cried.

"Who else is there to blame? No one!" Thranduil said dangerously.

Legolas watched as Elanil looked away and then back at them.

"T-there is someone t-to blame."

"I thought you said you didn't know?" Thranduil snapped.

"Who?" Legolas asked harshly.

"H-her?" Elanil said, pointing to an elleth standing on the staircase.

Legolas and Thranduil looked up at the elleth. She looked exactly like Elanil.

The elleth slowly made her way down towards Legolas.

Legolas and Thranduil stared in shock at the elleth. Legolas remembered her as Ava. Elanil's twin sister.

"Everything is going as planned." She said, "Soon everything will be as it should have been in the beginning."

Ava wrapped her arms around Legolas' kneck and before he had any chance to stop her she kissed him. Legolas' eyes widened in shock and he pushed her away.

"What's wrong?" Ava asked.

"What's wrong is that you tried to kill my soon to be wife." Legolas snapped.

"You're telling me you care about her? The girl that's not even from here? The girl that is the reason you got injured yesterday? You still care about her?" Ava asked harshly. "Did you even tell her she is the reason you got hurt?"

"Yes I still care about her but one thing for sure is that I don't care about you. I never will." Legolas said.

"Does the past mean nothing to you? We were best friends."

"The past is the past."

"Everything was perfect before you went on that quest and found her. The filthy outsider. "

That tore it. Legolas had had enough with Ava.

"NEVER, call Aliya a filthy outsider!! You're the only outsider here!!" Legolas shouted. It was rare for Legolas to yell, but he had had enough.

"Ugh. Forget about her meleth (love)."

"Don't call me meleth (love). Don't ever call me that."

"That's it. I've had it with you. You're going to marry me and not Aliya. It is better that way."

"Since when do you have control over my son." Thranduil said strictly.

"Since now." Ava said, snapping her fingers.

As she did that no more than thirteen guards from Grey wood entered the room. Legolas had forgotten that Ava and Elanil were from Grey wood.

Thranduil pulled his sword out only to have three guards raise their bows at him.

"Now you will come with me and live a better life then you would with Aliya." Ava said.
