Thomas and The Magic Railroad is a poorly written film, mostly. All TTTE fans know that. In my AU, Lady does exist and events that are similar to TATMR take place, but all the 'gold dust' BS does not exist. So here is my version of a realistic TATMR. This tale takes place in 1972, months before BR end their mainline steam ban.

But years, Explorers find William in an abandoned mineshaft.

An small tank engine on the Mainland named Lukas is constantly mistreated by his controller, so he hatches a plan to sneak off to the Island of Sodor. Will he get to stay on the Sodor? Or will he be sent back to the Mainland?

An incident involving an express engine and a little shunter named Peony brings to light a growing corruption at the Top Sheds. Peony is to be unfairly sent away and Flying Scotsman is blamed for something he didn't even do. To his surprise, an unlikely ally comes to his aid. Young Iron Short Story

The Arlesdale Miniature Railway and the Culdee Fell Mountain Railway are two of the most distinctive railways on the Island of Sodor, and both are home to collection of very distinctive little engines. Emily is well acquainted with both railways, and one winters day she is tasked with making a delivery from one railway to the other, though not without being delayed.

Thomas gets his own branch line, the NWR moves its main terminus to Tidmouth, and obtains its 6th engine.
