Off to Med?

"Jay, you okay?" Kim asked, leaning down towards him.

"i'm good." jay said as the world started to go black.

"Hailey! Hailey! Where are you?" Kim hollered running after the woman and males that had taken her out to the woman's awaiting vehicle.

"Just can't mind your own business, can you?" The woman snapped from behind her. Kim whipped around, leveling her gun with her target.

"How many of you do I have to take out to get out of here?" she asked Kim.

"Why don't you come back inside and find out." Kim taunted.

"I'd rather not." She smirked.

"I don't care what you want!" Kim said removing the safety from her gun.

"I'm not armed, there isn't anything you can do!" She laughed.

"To hell with the rules! You have kidnapped a close friend, one of my team mates and injured another!" Kim fumed. the woman began to laugh at her, knowing that she had Kim in an legal rut.

"Kim! Are you out here!" Ruzek and Atwater called out into the darkness. Kim heard their voices, but she wasn't going to just have this woman taken in for questioning, without feeling her fury first! Kim had enough and through her gun to the side and flew into the woman's torso! She began to clutch her hands around her neck.

"Where are you taking them to?" Kim asked, tightening her grip.

"You'll never find them, if you kill me." The woman squeaked.

"Trust me, you'll wish you were dead!" Kim said releasing all of the pressure at once causing the woman to cough and gasp for air!

"Get up!" Kim yanked her to her feet about to pull out her handcuffs, but raised her hand instead.

"Kim! She isn't worth it." Ruzek and Atwater yelled running towards her. Atwater said taking the woman towards the front driveway, where several cruisers and an ambulance were pulling up.

The three officers watched as several offenders had been handcuffed and were lined up on the curb.

"Here's your ring leader, Sarge." Atwater said holding the woman by the cuffs and walking her towards Voight.

"When we get back, you are going to TELL me where Hailey is, and hope to god, that Jay survives!" Voight said walking towards her.

"Don't forget your precious daughter, Lindsey." She smirked.

"Get her out of my sight." Voight said heading back inside where Sylvie and a paramedic filling in for foster were trying to check Jay's condition.

"Call Med." Sylvie told Voight. He didn't even question the young paramedic.

"Why?" Kim asked, finally finding the courage to speak.

"He isn't going to make it to Med." Sylvie said pulling her aside.

"What!?" Kim sputtered.

"The streets are blocked from here to the hospital, we barely got here." Sylvie said weakly.

"Good luck getting to them now!" The woman laughed.

"That was a smart idea, but there is just one flaw."

"And what might that be?"She inquired.

"If Jay can't get to Med, your charges are going to become far, far, worse." Ruzek said, trying to control the anger he was feeling coursing through his body.

"He'll be fine." She told Ruzek.

"He has to be." she mumbled under her breath.

"You better hope to hell that you are right! Ruzek snapped, turning around and returning to where Sylvie and the other paramedic were trying desperately tp keep Jay stable.

"Sylvie!" Ruzek quickly signaled for her to come over.

"Be right back. I need to change gloves." Sylvie said, getting to her feet and over to Ruzek, looking disgusted.

"Call Med."

"Sylvie just did, but this is a hopeless cause, she really thought this out." Sylvie said color draing from her face.

"Have Maggie send a chopper." Ruzek said happily.

"Chopper? Ruzek we are in a rough neighborhood, they would have no where to land it safely.

"Just hear me out. I saw a feild a few blocks from here on my way they could land it, could you get Jay to them?" Ruzek, asked, full of curiosity.

"It's worth a shot." Sylvie said already gripping her radio in her hand.

"Ambulance 61 to Chicago Med."

"Go ahead 61." April replied.

"This is Sylvie Brett from firehouse 51. I have a officer here in really bad shape...My path has been blocked to Chicago Med."

"Maggie!" April hollered over to the busy charge nurse.

"What?" Maggie growled.

"Come here." April had signaling her over to the radio communication system behind the nurse's station.

"Sylvie? Are you still there?" April asked.

"Yes. Please just send a chopper" Sylvie said, knowing she needed to get back to help her partner.

"The officer is Detective Jay Halstead." Sylvie quickly added in a shushed tone.

"April what is going on?" Maggie asked her. April whispered something in her ear.

"Don't let Dr. Halstead get wind of this!" Maggie told the younger nurse.
