The Musical Day
I honestly didn't think I'd be here in this huge mansion with so many of my friends and all of us...being a big family.
Let me explain, I'm Hana. One of the vampire hunters whose lives were ruined by vampires.
While mine is different from all the other girls, I am more special then some thing. You have the two older ones, who turned into vampire, the youngest one, who's half vampire, me, the one who survived but...didn't really turn into...something, and the human, who actually, has a vampire personality, and can turn into a vampire at will.
Yeah. I didn't turn into a vampire, I'm part werewolf. My family was caught in the middle of a turf war, between vampires and werewolves. My family was all killed by vampires, our house was attacked by wolves. Only my twin brother and I survived. Or we thought.
My brother stood in front swearing he'd kill the wolves who'd approached us. While my brother was killed by a rough wolf, the leader spared me, when he saw I was actually part werewolf.
"School is going to begin soon!" I heard Rune shout. I woke from my memory dream and got dressed quickly.
I am more human the wolf even if I'm half. And by that, none of these vampire boys, the Sakamaki brothers, didn't smell the wolf on me whatsoever.
So, when I found the truth, I went back and found my old...alpha, and he explained that he left the omega female, raise me, till I could find my own way. Meaning till I met the group of vampire killing girls. My father was a wolf at one point, and was turned human, by a witch.
The other, the real omega of the pack, was killed for jumping the gun, as my twin was the other half of being a werewolf. If we both had lived, we'd have been a full wolf ourselves.
"Hana! Come on before I take your blood." Laito said.
"No you won't, or else I'll kill you with my teeth." I snapped as I ran down the stairs.
Now, all I do is try to keep living a normal life. Mainly, for Shu. Who I have a little more in common with, and has excepted me for who and what I am.
"Have a good time!" Yui shouted as she and Kanato waved by. "Guess he's staying home this time." I mumbled.
"Yes. How does it, that the youngest of us, is married to the youngest of the household?" Rune asked.
"I don't know. But she's not the only one married. She was just the first." I said to Rune.
We got in the limo and headed off to school. Some of the brothers took turns staying home with Yui, when she stays home, and watches over the house.
I do a lot of singing, so this day happened to be the most musical day for me. I was in such a positive mood, I couldn't help myself.
Most the other brothers glared at me when I sang. Ayato and Reiji the most.
As I have said, today was the most, I've ever been happy.
"What's got you in such a foul mood?" Ayato asked. "I'm happy actually. I'm sure you would too. Did you have your morning blood?" I asked him. He didn't say but just glared at me.
I continued to sing slightly to myself as we road to school. It wasn't till Reiji stood up and grabbed my wrist. "Ah!"
"Shut the hell up with your little tiny voice!" He yelled right in my face. It startled me, but what shocked me more, was Shu's hand gripping his brother's arm, tight enough I could hear bones fracturing.
"Let her sing. I like to hear her voice." She growled.
Reiji seemed scared and let me go. He sat back down in his seat and Shu closed his eyes once again. Normally, if I sing it's in his room where it's privet. He listens to his own if were at school or outside. But he hardly ever goes outside.
I smiled and continued to sing.
We arrived at school and I headed right to class. I didn't care what most said, I loved school. Maybe cause I grew up...not taking school for a long time. So this was more or less, my one experience in school.
By lunch time, everyone was teasing to get a taste of Rune, since Yui wasn't here.
Thankfully, Subaru was there to protect her. But to protect myself, I went up to the roof, where the pool was at. I stayed up there and ate lunch. I sung a little when I was by myself, till...
"Look who we have here guys. A little chicky lost and alone."
"And she smells, SO good."
Of course. I couldn't get anywhere away from these guys. I couldn't exactly...reveal that I was a wolf in front of a vampire school. But..if this was the case, I'd have no choice. No like I'm not use to sneak killing people, or vampires for that matter.
But in a split second I thought about ripping their heads off, I felt pain in my neck.
"Ah!" I knew who it possibly was, and I was more calm about it. "Shu."
"This is MINE!" Shu growled at the boys. They ran screaming back inside the school. "Thank you, Shu." I said. I didn't mind if he kept sucking my blood honestly.
But he wouldn't take advantage of me, even to save his own life. "Whatever. Keep singing, and I'll nap." He said and laid back against the wall. I finished eating and sang to him before the bell rang for the rest of classes to continue for the night.
When we got back home, I went right to the kitchen, where Yui was fixing dinner, for the...morning.
"How was school today?" She asked.
"Good. Shu kept me from killing, and Subaru protected Rune, as usual." I teased.
"Shut it! He doesn't drink one drop of my blood. If he did, then...you know what happens." Rune said.
Rune has...a second personality, and that personality, happens to be a vampire. So, she's actually a vampire, IF, one tried to drink her blood.
"Do you want some help?" I asked Yui.
"Sure. If you don't mind. Rune is the better cook here." She says.
"Thank you."
"I can cook to! Just not complicated things." I said. Mainly, I'll make the effort for any dessert, but other then that, I won't bother trying honestly. But I'm not telling them that.
While helping to cook, I sang a little and had Yui and Rune sing along. Making sure it was something they knew of course. Yui doesn't listen to a lot of music, and Rune doesn't listen to much...other then the same little children's tunes, but I teach them a few new songs if it's the three of us.
With dinner finished and in oven, I went to take a long shower before eating and then turning in for the day.
As I came downstairs, I could hear the brothers yelling at the TV. They turned on Baseball, again.
All of us girls were getting tired of it. I didn't really mind it, I wanted to play it at one point. But when you watch games EVERY NIGHT, it gets boring and you want to kill something.
"Do you have to watch this AGAIN?!" I heard Linda ask. She was never a sports fan. "I'd rather have something...more entertaining." She said.
All of us knew what that meant. And normally, it's her and Laito.
"I'll just eat outside. Maybe, with how much we've watched, I can play it on my own." I teased
"What A girl playing-"
"If you say one more word, I'll turn into my wolf form and RIP your head OFF!" I said with black eyes. The only time I ever do that, is when one of them says something sexest about what girls and women can't do.
Ayato shut up right away and Shu and Subaru followed me outside. "Care for a game?" Kanato asked.
I smiled at the little boy. "Of course. Let's play ball before sunrise!" I said.
I sang a little before Shu and Subaru were singing with me. First time they'd actually sang WITH me, but it made me so happy I didn't care if I was losing the game.
It wasn't till later in the...afternoon, that I snuck out with Yui and we met up with a few people for our special game.
Shin, a fellow wolf, set up a private golf/putt putt area for people to come and use. Course, this isn't something humans, normally play. Yui I brought because it meant there was no risk of Yuma or Kou cheating on me. Think of it as a SUPER long poker betting game.
"How is the household? Anymore weddings?" Yuma asked.
"No. Not yet. Still waiting for Subaru to ask Rune for sure." I told them.
"What about Shu?" Shin asked. "What about him?"
"Has he asked you to-"
"Please! Shu isn't going to be doing that. Hana will have to do it herself if he even cares enough." Kou laughs.
"You are the worst sometimes. I still don't know how you two deal with those fancy vampires visiting your house every day. I mean, all they want is the Mukami money." I said.
The two glared at me.
But Shin was laughing. "Are you kidding me? If I wasn't a wolf, I don't think I'd even met, my own girlfriend."
"She's not really calling herself that since you and your brother tried to kill the five of us and take the secret of the Sakamaki house. Even use Yui to be the Eve to rule over all vampires and be kings of the supernatural." I scoffed. What did he know.
"Come now, Hana. You know Shu loves you." Shin chuckled.
I wasn't so sure of it. Sure he listened to me singing and loved hearing my voice. But...he never really talks to me. Not much. He'll have a conversation with me if Yui, Rune, or Subaru are in the room, but if it's just us two, he'll listen to his own or me singing and sleep.
I don't mind it. Even if it hurts, I do care for Shu a lot. It's like...he just reminds me of my twin brother.
"He'll never see me that way." I mumbled to myself.
We played the rest of the game before Yui and I headed back home.
She went and got plenty of rest before the sun set and we'd have school again.
I was heading to my room before I heard...a piano.
I followed the sweet sad sounds coming from down the hall in the huge ballroom that was normally forbidden for most to enter.
And I saw, Shu playing the piano. He played like his life depended on it. I saw sweat flying from his face as he played like he was on stage.
When he stopped, he looked over at me. "Sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"Come and sing for me." He said.
I was tired for sure, but I walked over and did as told. He played a little tune and I started singing.
"I know that this, only happens once.
So please listen to me, pouring out my heart.
I know we can make it, if we try to.
All I know is that I, I love you with all my...heart."
I sung as Shu played. I felt like I was singing from my own heart, but I knew this wouldn't reach Shu. Or would it? He loved to hear me sing a lot, maybe if I sing enough, he'll understand how I feel. And I'll get an answer if...he loves me too.
"Every day, forever and ever, I'll love you for the rest of my life.
Just stay, with me, and we'll work this all out.
Every day, as long as I live, I'll love and care, sick or poor.
Cause love, is stronger, then death in this world."
We sat there playing and me singing for I don't know how long before Shu finished playing and I ended the song.
"Wow. That was-"
Shu cut me off as he turned my face to his, locking eyes, he looked like he was going to cry.
"Stay." He whispered in a low voice. It was like he wasn't himself, or had any idea what he was doing. But I listened to what he said.
"With me." He was begging me to stay with him? I mean I already was but..
"Please." I didn't even realize how close he was to me till I felt his lips on mine.
I didn't, couldn't, say a word to him. I was too shocked to even have a response to this.
It was quiet when he pulled away. I felt my face turn red and hot as he stared at me.
"Hana. Please. Stay with me." Was he trying to tell me he loved me?!
"Shu." I finally found my voice. "Are you...saying you..." I couldn't even say the words. Tears filled my eyes. Was this all I wanted to hear? He didn't have to hear the actual words to feel that he truly loved me back like I did.
"Shu, it's okay." I told him placing my hand on his cheek. "I...love you...too." I said it to his face! Ah!
"You don't mind that...were different?" I asked.
Shu never answered me. He just pulled me in and kissed me once again. It was more heated this time. I closed my eyes, sinking into it and responding fully.
It starts to become a blur, but I know he picked me up at some point. And...He might have taken me to my room or his.
"Shu."
"Shut up for once. Sing with me." He said to me. I couldn't really sing, but I understood what he meant by that. And it was the sweetest music, we could have ever made.
The End
