Luna sighed and twirled around excitedly. She finally was discharged after being there for a month. She had to stay there for a long time because her pain receptors were still damaged, she needed to take a potion every day from now on and had to take it easy with activities. She was now walking down Diagon Alley with a friend.
"Thanks for coming out to walk with me, Luna." Luna smiled at her new friend.
"No problem Rolf!" Rolf smiled at her with a goofy look on his face. "I needed to go out sometime, plus it's good to know my Magizoologist partner," she said serenely.
Rolf laughed. "Can you believe Ginger partnered us up?" he asked.
Luna nodded, she had met Ginger a few days ago, she was a beautiful lady with ginger hair and blue eyes. Her personality was quirky and she had a phoenix named Thunder in her office. Apparently, Ginger was from America and went to Illvermorny, she was a Thunderbird there and loved magical creatures.
"Do you want to come over for dinner tonight?" Rolf asked curiously.
"I'd love to, but I'm meeting Neville sorry Rolf," Luna answered calmly. They continued to walk down Diagon Alley. Luna suddenly saw a familiar blond guy walking down the streets, their eyes met, Luna turned away.
"Loony Lovegood."
Rolf stared at him confused. "Draco Malfoy," Luna said smiling. Draco was with a beautiful woman who looked a bit younger than Luna, Luna recognized her immediately. "Astoria?" she asked curiously.
"Luna!" Astoria ran and gave her a hug. The Greengrasses and Lovegoods used to be close but after Luna's mother died, the Greengrasses stopped talking to the Lovegoods. Luna smiled as she saw her former playmate.
"How are you and Daphne?" she asked softly. Daphne wasn't much of Luna's friend as she was stuck-up and bossy when they were little.
"I'm great, she's the same as always," Astoria replied rolling her eyes. "Do you want to go for lunch?" she asked looking at Draco who nodded slowly.
"Of course," Luna replied. "Can Rolf come?" she asked.
Astoria nodded. The two girls walked ahead as the guys trailed behind. "So how have you been Luna?" Astoria asked.
"Well I was kidnapped and tortured by Asceus Carrow, Tori so great I guess!" Luna said.
"Oh my gosh, Luna are you okay?" Astoria asked worriedly. Luna nodded. "Is that Rolf Scamander your boyfriend? Because he is so hot!" Astoria added peeking behind to steal a glance of Rolf.
Luna shook her head. "He's a friend, I'm dating Neville Longbottom now," Luna said. Astoria held in a laugh.
"No way! He visited my father's shop a few days ago, looking for some herbs or whatever." Astoria said. "But seriously, why don't you date Rolf, he's really hot Luna. I'd date him but I'm dating Draco right now. "
"Tori! I can't just leave Nev." Luna said laughing. "But I must agree he is quite good-looking that Rolf." They soon arrived at The Leaky Cauldron, the four walked in and soon settled at a table.
"Hi! I'm Hannah! How may I-" Hannah Abbott's eyes widened as she saw Luna with Draco, Astoria, and Rolf. Luna waved at her and smiled while Rolf just glared at her suspiciously.
"We'd like four butterbeers, please," Draco demanded. "Now hurry up!"
Astoria smiled calmly at Hannah. "Take as long as you need," she said softly.
Hannah nodded and scurried away.
"Luna why did Hannah seem so scared of you?" Astoria asked curiously. Astoria was a popular girl during her Hogwarts years, she was also very beautiful, she noticed a lot of things and was an excellent witch.
"I'm not so sure," Luna said. "Weird."
"Um, I know I shouldn't say this but Hannah slept with your boyfriend Luna," Rolf said calmly holding on to Luna's hand. Astoria gasped while Draco just shook his head.
"What!? When?!" Luna cried out.
"The day you got tortured, he was drunk and brought Hannah back to his apartment I'm sure," Rolf said. Luna started to shake. "Calm down, Luna."
"So he cheated on me?" she shouted. "Just because I was sick?" she shouted a little bit louder. She stood up angrily. She wasn't as angry though, but still why was he so keen to keep her if she cheated on her with Hannah who was way prettier than Luna. Or so that's what Luna thought.
"Luna, sit back down right now." Astoria hissed, pulling her back to her chair.
Luna sighed. "I think I have to break up with him for real this time," she said. "We aren't even going to see each other much anyway!" she started to cry. Astoria patted Luna's head and brushed her blond hair.
"Draco, do you think you could bring Hannah back here?" Astoria smirked. Draco nodded and smirked at her.
"Babe! You're becoming just like me," he said smiling. He stood up and walked away to find Hannah.
"Not exactly, I still love you though," Astoria muttered under her breath. She held onto Luna's arm. She looked and saw that Rolf was holding onto Luna's hand. "Cute," she whispered.
"What was that?" Rolf asked curiously with a hint of humour in his eyes, he had obviously heard what Astoria said.
"Nothing," Astoria replied quickly. Hannah was soon being pushed by Draco with their Butterbeers.
Draco smirked at Astoria. "For you," he said before bowing.
"Hannah Abbott." Astoria started. Luna wiped off her tears and leaned her head against Rolf's shoulders, Rolf blushed.
"Yes?" she replied nervously.
"Please apologize to my best friend Luna," she said. "Or else." She took her wand out of her pocket and placed it against Hannah's chest.
"I'm sorry Luna, to clear things up, he never slept with me. We just slept side by side with no cuddling or anything." Hannah said blushing.
Luna nodded. "I accept your apology, but I'm afraid I still have to break up with him," she said sadly.
"No! You're going to break his heart." Hannah cried out. Astoria lowered her wand confused.
"Hannah, why did you go with him in the first place? Didn't you know he had a girlfriend?" Astoria asked swiftly. Draco held onto her hand and smiled excitedly.
Hannah's eyes widened. "Well, he was drunk... And I guess I kind of like him," she confessed, her face turning red.
Luna smiled. "I wish you good luck, Hannah," she said softly. Astoria scoffed.
"Hannah! You hurt my best friend, I'm afraid you're still going to have to deal with me," she said. Draco looked at Astoria worried.
"Oh no." he started. Astoria grabbed Hannah's shirt and tugged on it hard. She faked a punch and Hannah whimpered.
"You try and hurt Luna again, you'll be getting a real punch." Astoria snapped. "Have a good day," she added with a fake smile. Hannah walked away quickly. She sat back down and looked at Luna who's eyes were wide.
"When did you become so badass?" she asked laughing.
"For you. Why are you breaking up with Neville though?" Astoria asked.
Luna sighed. "He's becoming the new Herbology teacher at Hogwarts, which means he'll be there for almost the whole year. I'm going on my trip with Rolf in a month and we're leaving for four months so we won't even see each other and everyone knows long-distance relationships don't work," she said sadly.
"Aww I'm sorry, at least you'll be with a hot guy for four months," Astoria smirked. Draco hit her playfully.
"Tori!" he cried out. Astoria giggled.
"Sorry but I'll be with an even hotter guy." she said giving Draco a kiss.
Luna smiled at the couple. "Thanks, but Rolf and I are just friends, we're going to only be friends forever right?" she looked at Rolf who was suddenly blushing.
"Uhh, that's right Luna," he said. They were still holding hands, and as Luna said those words she squeezed his hand harder.
Astoria laughed. "Make sure you invite me to your wedding Luna!" she joked. Draco smiled weakly. He looked at his watch and tapped Astoria's back.
"I have to go. Meet me at my house at 6?" he asked.
Astoria nodded. "Of course." She kissed him passionately and waved goodbye.
"Looks like you two lovebirds are stuck with me now," she smirked, then laughed. Rolf smiled. Luna blushed embarrassed.
"Tori!" she cried out.
"Kidding! I have to back to see father, owl me when you tell Neville you guys are breaking up. Also, we have to hang out soon Luna!" Astoria jumped out of her seat and waved goodbye to the two.
Rolf looked at Luna curiously. "Are you sure that's what you want to do Luna?" he asked.
"Yes. I'm afraid, I have to break up with Neville," she replied, she suddenly started to cry. She hugged Rolf and whimpered softly. Rolf hugged her back slowly and squeezed tightly. She held onto his hand and looked at him smiling. Rolf blushed, looks like he had a chance with her after all.
