"Rolf?" Rolf turned around nervously, Ginger had been fired and Rolf was now the head of their department, he was currently walking down Diagon Alley to get some ice cream. Rolf canceled the trip to America as it was too much for him and he has been avoiding Luna the whole month.
"Athena..." he started. "Athena." he froze. He hasn't seen her in like 7 years. He started to feel himself shake a little. She smiled at him, her beauty overwhelming him even more.
"Rolf," she said. "I'm sorry." She apologized. She apologized. Rolf ran up to her and gave her a hug.
"Athena." he muttered softly, "Athena." He missed her, and secretly he knew he still loved her too. Athena wrapped her arms around him and smiled.
"I was really a jerk back then was I?" she asked. She played with his hair and he smiled.
"Meanest Ravenclaw ever," he stated.
"Well you were the Nicest Hufflepuff ever." she teased. "After we broke up, I stopped seeing Thomas, I own a jewelry shop now. I also just made a ring for Draco Malfoy," she said proudly. Rolf smiled. She's changed a lot.
"I'm proud of you," he said. "Athena, I missed you so much," he said giving her a hug again. He squeezed tightly. "Do you want to go get ice cream with me?" he asked curiously.
Athena giggled. "There's the adorable Rolf I remember! Of course," They walked towards Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and ordered some ice cream, Rolf got a strawberry ice cream glazed with a framboise puree and Athena got a mango sorbet with coconut jelly on it.
They both sat on a bench and looked at each other smiling. Rolf took his spoon and stole some of Athena's ice cream, he put it in his mouth and laughed.
"This one tastes good," he said smiling. Before he and Athena dated, they were best friends. They started dating in their third year when Rolf started to have feelings for Athena.
"Rolf, I want to apologize," she said looking at him seriously. Rolf looked back at her and nodded slowly. "I was a stupid bitch and-"
"Athena, it's okay," Rolf said quickly. "I forgive you, you're my best friend remember?" he said smiling he nibbled on his ice cream cone and finished it.
"Rolf, I love you," she said. "Thank you," she added. She leaned onto Rolf's shoulder and smiled. "You know, you're pretty famous now," she said.
Rolf laughed, "Please, I was always famous Athena, my grandfather is fucking Newt Scamander!" he cried out.
Athena giggled. "Rolf, do you like Luna Lovegood?" she asked suddenly being serious again. Rolf looked at her confused. Did he like Luna? Or did he like Athena? Deep down, he knew the answer and he felt confused.
"Athena, I've always liked you, since our Third Year at Hogwarts," he said. "I don't know if I really like Luna yet,"
"Rolf that's- such a long time," she started. "So you have to choose between me or her?" Athena asked.
Rolf nodded, "I guess so, but Athena, I want you." he said. He loved Athena so much.
"I know," she muttered before pulling him closer to her. "I want you too," she sighed softly and soon they were kissing each other like old times. Rolf kissed her passionately and moaned quietly.
"I missed this," he said.
"I know," Athena said. "I did too," she continued and soon she pulled away as she recognized a familiar blonde standing in front of them.
"Rolf?" Rolf looked up and saw Luna staring at the two. "Rolf what are you doing?" she asked.
Rolf looked at his "crush" and looked away, he did not like Luna anymore. He liked Athena now, he held onto Athena's hand nervously and Athena knew what was up. "He's hanging out with me," Athena said, "Or is that not allowed?" she asked coldly. Rolf stared at Athena with a look and she sighed.
"Well, we're partners for work, and he didn't show up at the office today," Luna said with a hint of jealousy.
"He's the boss so he doesn't have to show up," Athena said rolling her eyes, Rolf gave her another glare and she just laughed. "Your Draco Malfoy's friend right?" she said.
"Well, I'm more of his fiancee's friend," Luna said.
"Hey, Luna are you ready to-" Rolf stared at the person behind her, Neville.
Neville stared at Rolf angrily. "Rolf Scamander," he scoffed. "You aren't much you know! Breaking Luna's heart for fun? Playing around with her?"
"Shut up," Rolf said. "You-"
"I wouldn't talk like that Longbottom," Athena started. "Thinking you know everything, you don't know what Rolf's been through at all so shut the fuck up, you're just jealous because he looks better than you and has a better job than you, what are you? A Herbology professor?" she smirked.
Rolf looked at Athena and laughed loudly. Ohh no, when Athena gets pissed she argues, and when she argues she always wins.
Luna looked at Rolf and frowned. "Rolf, why did you buy me this necklace?" she asked, trying to make Athena jealous.
"I told you, it was nothing," he muttered. Athena shook her head.
"Rolf, I love you! Why are you staying with that girl? She- She's not good for you!" Luna cried out. "Please, Rolf... I love you," she said crying.
Athena laughed. "Get the fuck out of here crybaby," she scoffed. Neville and Luna soon left. "Jesus, she's so desperate," Athena added rolling her eyes.
Rolf looked at Athena pleased she didn't go too far today. "Athena, will you go out with me again?" he asked nervously.
"Of course Rolf," Athena leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss. He kissed back. Little did they know Luna and Neville were watching them, very carefully.
"That stupid Athena girl is ruining my life!" Luna whined. Astoria laughed as she heard the two's story about Rolf.
Neville looked at her comfortingly. "Luna, you know not everyone is going to like you back," he said.
Luna sighed. "But I really like him, I love him and I thought he liked me too!" she said.
"Luna, it takes time, maybe he'll like you in the future." he said, "Anyways, school starts tomorrow, and I have to be there. I'll be sleeping early tonight. Goodbye Luna, I love you," he said giving her a kiss on the cheek before apparating.
"Tori, why doesn't he like me back?" Luna whined. Astoria hugged her and patted her head.
"Because he's not worth it," Astoria said. "Haha, but look at me! I'm getting married at 20!" she smiled.
Luna pushed Astoria playfully, "Stop bragging."
