Lincoln was still shaken up by that unexpected visit from his new neighbor. Right now, he wants nothing more than to drop this case and forget about the whole thing. He wanted to say to himself that he was just being paranoid and there's nothing wrong with Jerry Dandridge. He kept repeating it in his mind, which helped to calm him down...
Leni:"Hey Lori, have you see Dana?"
Lori:"Not since two days ago, honestly. In fact, I haven't even heard from Carol. I've been trying to reach her, butMandee and Jackie have told me that she hasn't answering her calls our text messages."
Leni:"That's not like her."
Lori:"No. No it isn't. I'm literally sure that she'll turn up sooner or later."
That was enough to make Lincoln feel frightened again. He knew that Carol, along with three other girls had been taken by Dandridge to his house. It may have only been a day but that was enough to tell him that something bad may have happened to them. Now, Lincoln was thinking of doing something drastic, picking up his phone and dialing 911...
In his house, darkness surrounded Dandridge as he had fallen into deep sleep, in the secret room of his cellar, right where he kept his food. He tried his best to relax, now knowing he had to deal with another nosey neighbor, something he's all to familiar with. It was then that he heard a knock at the front door, which irritated him, considering he hated being woken up from sleep. Upon arriving at his front door, he was surprised to find a police officer in front of him...
Jerry:"How can I help you officer?"
Officer:"I got a call from your neighbor, saying that several girls had gone missing around your property recently."
Jerry:"Girls? Oh, no, no, no. I'm afraid there's a misunderstanding officer. See, I invited those girls over and they spent the night here. Simple as that."
Officer:"Well, we also hear that they haven't been answering the calls of their friends and families."
Jerry:"Well...we were having a good time and didn't want to be disturbed. You know how that is, right officer?"
Officer:"I should be glad that I don't."
Jerry:"...Why don't I bring one of those girls over and show that everything's play?"
Officer:"I suppose that could help."
A little while later, Jerry had come back with Carol, who was looking oddly drowsy. Like she was drained of her energy...
Officer:"You Carol Pingrey?"
Carol:"(drizzly) Yeah...is there a problem?"
Officer:"Friends of yours have been saying that you went missing, miss. Did you really spend the night with Mr. Dandridge, along with several girls?"
Carol:"Yeah, I think so."
Jerry:"I guess the night we had together was a bit too much for her."
Officer:"I'm gonna have to take her with me, and the others as well."
Jerry:"Of course, Officer. They're all yours."
And with that, Becky, Dana and Fiona followed suit and went with the police...
Jerry:"Be sure to get the girls home safely, officer."
Officer:"Not a problem. And, uh, sorry for the inconvenience."
Jerry:"Oh, not a problem at all. I get that lot more than you think."
Officer:"Is that right?"
Jerry:"Did I say that out loud?"
Officer:"Just stay out of trouble, sir. And have a nice day."
Jerry:"You too."
When the cop was gone, Jerry's charisma faded and was replaced with a rising anger. There was a pest biting at his heel, and he attended to get rid of it.
Rita:"I cannot believe that you called the cops on such a nice man."
Lincoln:"Mom, there is something off about that guy! I just know it!"
Rita:"That's no excuse, Lincoln! What you did was wrong and hurtful to Mr. Dandridge. He had just moved into the neighborhood. Give him, and maybe even yourself, some time to adapt so that no one has to get hurt."
Lincoln:"Okay..."
Rita:"Now, I expect to apologise to Mr. Dandridge as soon as possible. Until then, you're grounded! Now, go to your room."
Sighing in defeat, Lincoln headed upstairs and to his room almost instantly. He wanted to avoid anything that his sister's had to say as he shut the door behind him and sat down in his bed. He just wanted this crazy feeling he was having to stop, as he knew what he did was wrong, but he couldn't help himself. He wasn't even sure what to do now as he stayed in his room all day until night time. The rest of the family went out, and because of his punishment, Lincoln was forced to say home. Before he got himself ready for bed, he looked out his window and stared at the blue moon...
Lincoln:"(sighs) What did I do?"
Before he could lose himself in his train of thought, he saw a shadowy figure outside his window. Wanting to get a closer look, he opens his window and sticks his head out. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Without warning, shadowy hands grabbed hold of him and then tossed him from his window and outside. He was barely able to recover as he tried to crawl away from the figure that was now towering over him. He felt himself being picked up by his collar and then throw once more. Thanks to the moonlight, Lincoln could now see who this shadowy figure was...
Dandridge:"Do you have any idea what kind of trouble you're causing me, Lincoln? Spying on me, interrupting my midday nap, telling policemen about me!"
Once more, Dandridge threw Lincoln. This time, against a tree, which had cause a branch to snap off, making the broken part of it now sharp and pointy. Seeing this, Lincoln quickly grabs the branch before Dandridge takes hold of him again. He was quickly able to hide it by moving his arm behind him, as he did his best to stay conscious, having a fuzzy vision of Dandridge...
Dandridge:"I'm a rather fair man, Lincoln. And I'll offer you the same choice a kid like you had refused once. Forget about me and I'll forget about you. The two of us can live in peace. What do you say?"
Lincoln:"...Drop dead!"
It was then that Dandridge felt a sharp pain at his side, and he looked down to see that Lincoln had stabbed him. This forced him to let go of Lincoln and howl in pain as Lincoln saw him spin around in pain. The boy saw Dandridge pry the branch out of his chest, which hands that now had grown nails that examined claws. Then Dandridge turned around and revealed his true form. Red glowing eyes, a monstrous face and a mouth full of fangs. Lincoln was paralysed as he was staring right at a vampire...
Dandridge:"(monstrous) NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Lincoln whimpered and did his best to move away as the vampire then moved closer to him! But then, the sound of vanzilla alerted both of them, and Lincoln watched as Dandridge slowly reverted back into his human form and disappeared into the shadows. It was the last thing Lincoln saw before drifting into unconsciousness...
Rita's voice:"Oh my God, Lincoln!"
