That evening, Apple had returned to the room to find Raven packing a large duffle bag.

"Are you going somewhere?" asked Apple who was worried that Raven might be leaving school.

"I'm going to spend a few more nights with Cerise and Cedar while grandpa looks for a new roommate for me," said Raven as she zipped her bag closed.

"He didn't say anything about that when I talked to him earlier!" said a panicked Apple.

"I'm planning to ask him tomorrow, but why were you talking with him today?" asked Raven who did not look happy.

"He told me about what caused your scars, and that you never got to spend any time with your mother," said Apple.

"He had no right to do that!" said Raven as her magic flared up around her. She also threw the bag onto the floor out of her anger.

"Raven, please calm down!" said Apple who was majorly worried by how angry the witch was.

"Why do you even care so much about where my scars came from?!" asked Raven.

"Only one person has ever cared for me my whole life, and she's still in a stupid mirror for nothing!" said Raven as she cried.

"But I do care for you, Raven," said Apple who had decided to stand her ground.

"Why, just a few days ago you were hung up on following your destiny and mad that I had rebelled, so why would you care about me?!" asked Raven as she grabbed hold of Apple's shirt out of her anger.

"I care because I'm in love with you!" said Apple as she clenched her fists and tears welled up in her eyes. At these words, all of Raven's anger and magic vanished.

"You what?" asked Raven as she let go of her grip on Apple's shirt, allowing her hands to fall to her sides.
