A Smurfy Halloween, a smurfs fanfic

Good evening, my fellow readers, and welcome to my special Halloween Scary Time Theater! Tonight, I present you with a tale so terrifying, it'll send deep chills down your spine. Now, I do not own The Smurfs or Smurfs: The Lost Village in any way or form. They belong to Peyo and Sony Animations, respectively. Aria Smurf is my O.C. and belongs to me. SmurfAggie is I.M. Rally's O.C. and belongs to that author. I also do not own the song and the lyrics that I use tonight. Now, please sit back, drink some slime, and prepared to be terrified as I present to you, A Smurfy Halloween! *cackles loudly into the night*

It was autumn in Smurf Village as each smurf was decorating the village for tonight's Halloween party. Baker was making pumpkin-flavored goodies, Hefty was putting pumpkins out and about the main square, and some of the smurfy Grove girls were making long lanyards out of autumn leaves and hanging them on the roofs of the houses. Jokey was talking to Scaredy as he said excitedly, "I love Halloween! Not only is my birthday on the same day, but it gives me the chance to pull some surprising scares on unexpected smurfs." Scaredy shook in fear as he said, "I=I don't like Halloween. It's w-way too scary." Hefty then came over, carrying a huge pumpkin, but seemed to be struggling as he said, "Hoo-wee! I do not remember this pumpkin bing this heavy." He lifted the stem off the pumpkin as out popped Aria, who bared an evil grin, flashing some sharp canines, while giving out a silly shout. Hefty jumped back while becoming shocked as Scaredy screamed while running and hiding behind a barrel. At the same time, Jokey rolled on the floor laughing, saying, "Wow, Aria! That was a perfect scare," as Hefty added while trying to catch his breath, "Jokey's right. you nearly smurfed my heart out of my chest."

Aria chuckled while climbing out of the pumpkin as she said, "I love Halloween. It gives me time to appreciate the five S's: the sights, the sounds, the scents, the sweets, and my favorite, the scares! Every Halloween, I love to prank my friends by scaring them when they least expect it, and don't worry. These fangs are fake! They'rea part of my Halloween costume, which you'll see at tonight's party." Hefty and Jokey laughed as Scaredy crept back towards the group, saying while shaking, "Have you s-scared anyone else"? Aria nodded, saying, 'I've been able to scare just about every smurf in the village. I even gave SmurfAggie a good scare earlier"!

About an hour earlier, SmurfAggie, a magical and good friend of the smurfs, was sewing a white dress when she heard a knock at the door. She got up and opened the door, but was surprised that no one was there, or so she thought. When she closed the door and went to finish her dress, she screamed in fright when she saw Aria standing behind her, displaying the same toothy grin. SmurfAggie and Aria both broke down into laughter as Aria said in mid-laughter, "You should've seen your face, Aggie! I got you good"! Aggie recovered as she said, "Nice scare Ari, but I'm going to get you back, just you wait."

Fast-forward to now. Aria continued with, "I've been able to scare everyone, except for one smurf. My older sister, Smurfstorm. Every year, I have tried to scare her with every trick in the book. I even tried the "fake my own death and use ketchup as blood" trick the Halloween before my disappearance, and she still didn't scream in fright. She says she's truly fearless and that nothing scares her, but I know that there's something deep down that does, and I will not stop till she turns as pale as a ghost."Hefty spoke up, saying, "Wow, but why do you want to scare her"? Jokey answered for Aria, saying, "Isn't it obvious, Hefty? Scary pranks are the best part of Halloween. The ideas, the jokes, the reaction on their faces when they get scared, it's priceless"! Aria then thought of an idea as she said, "Say, can you boys help me with something? I have an idea for a prank this year that'll scare the smurf out of Stormer." Scaredy instantly ran away before giving his answer, leaving Hefty and Jokey to nod, wanting to help. Aria grinned as she said, "Ok, here's what we'll do," as she whispered her plan to them.

Meanwhile, SmurfAggie set up a bin for smurfberry bobbing when Smurfstorm came by, bringing a bag full of smurfberries. She poured them into the basket as smurfAggie filled it up with water while saying, "That's the smurfberry bobbing station set. Now, all we need to do is help make jack-o-lanterns." Smurfstorm smiled, saying, "Sounds like a plan," before looking over her shoulder for something. When SmurfAggie asked about this, Smurfstorm responded with, "If I'm honest, I'm expecting Ari to try to scare me out of nowhere. She's tried to scare me since we were little, but every time, she's failed, only because I don't get scared." SmurfAggie was surprised, asking, "Really? Nothing scares you,"? Smurfstorm nodded while saying, "I'm fearless, always have been, always will be." Suddenly, out of the blue, SmurfAggie sneaked up behind SmurfAggie and honked a horn loudly, making the magical girl jump in surprise. She turned and saw Smurfblossom, who was grinning goofily at her while saying, 'Look what I found! This will go great with my costume"! Smurfstorm walked over to SmurfAggie, saying, "See? Not even a flinch," as she started to head towards the picnic tables, leaving Aggie to smile in respect.

Meanwhile, Aria was looking for Smurfstorm, spotting her at one of the tables, carving a pumpkin, as Aria smiled evilly. She slowly approached her, her footsteps as silent as a mouse, hoping to catch her out of nowhere. Then, she held her arm in pain and said, "Ow," which made Smurfstorm turn around to look and see her sister "in pain." At first, Smurfstorm thought Aria was joking, but seeing that Aria had "tears" flowing, she became concerned as she got up, asking, "You ok, kid"? Aria shook her head, saying, "No! Hefty, Jokey, and I were out looking for some red leaves to decorate our mushrooms with, and I found this bright red leaf and went to pick it up. Then, this "thing" comes out and bites my arm. Look," as she rolled up her sleeve, showing what looked like a bite mark on her arm. It was a light red circle, but with two dark red holes on opposite sides. Smurfstorm gasped as she then asked, "Did you see what kind of creature it was"? Aria answered, "It was all a blur. All I could make out was something that looked like a smurf, but it was black." Hefty and Jokey then came as they heard Aria's answer. Hefty winked at Joke before saying while approaching the group, "A black smurf? But, no smurf is ever black, unless it's...the smurfpire bat"! He and Jokey gasped in unison as Smurfstorm then asked, 'What the smurf is a smurfpire bat"?

Jokey answered with, "Legends say that a smurfpire bat has the head, hands, and feet of a normal smurf, but an orange, bat-themed smurf hat, a black bat body, and black wings, with pasty pink skin on their wings. They usually come out at night, but if they are awake during the day, it's only to attack innocent smurfs with their bite, which is said to turn them into smurfpire bats as well! There are three major steps for a smurf to become a full smurfpire bat. First, after the bite, they begin to feel woozy and have a sudden urge for insects. They might deny this behavior, especially towards the next two stages. Then, they begin strange bat-like behaviors such as hanging upside down and trying to fly. Plus, in this stage, they grow permanent fangs. Finally, as night falls, they transform and become a full-out smurfpire bat, and as the full moon reaches its highest point in the sky, the curse...becomes permanent." Now, for the first time, Aria could see Smurfstorm's knees shaking in fear. Smurfstorm then nervously asked, "You mean...unless there's something we can do, my little sister's going to become a smurfpire bat"?! Aria then winked at Hefty before showing a look of fear, shouting, "I don't want to become a smurfpire bat! There's still so much I want to...to..." before becoming shaky and stumbling around.

Hefty then said in "nervousness," "Looks like Aria's already at the first stage, she looks woozy and really dizzy." Smurfstorm got a hold of her sister, telling her, "Don't go towards it, fight against it, Aria! Come on,"! Aria had a sick/dazed expression as she then asked, "Can I have mealworms with a side of maggots, please"? The boys mimicked sick expressions as Smurfstorm grimaced, saying, "This is bad! What do we do? Is there any way to stop this curse before she becomes full bat"? Jokey nodded, saying, "There is one way we can reverse the effects, but if we do not act now, it can be very time-consuming. there's a chance we may not have it done in time." Smurfstorm grabbed Jokey and held him tight, shouting, "I don't care! Let's do it now! Please! I...I don't want to lose my sister again." Hefty then pulled out what looked like an old book as he says, 'To reverse the curse, you need to collect three ingredients to make a potion. First, you need the fiery mucus of a dragonfly, which will be easy since you have Spitfire. Second, you need the claw of a bear. Finally, you need possibly the hardest ingredient of all: a drop of blood from a cat. With those three ingredients mixed, it'll make a potion that can help Aria return to normal."

Smurfstorm looked at the book before looking back at her sister, who laid flat on the ground while saying, "Three grasshoppers and a bottle of beetle guts." Despite feeling like throwing up, she shook her head before saying, "Ok! I'll do it. I'll get the ingredients while you two keep an eye on her." She ran to find Fireball as Hefty and Jokey went to get Aria, only to find her missing. They did not need to look far as Aria was looking at a caterpillar crawling towards a rock. Aria licked her lips and said, "So cute...so delectable...so good," and was ready to pounce if not for Hefty, who caught her in time. The trio winked at one another and stifled their increasing laughter as they headed towards his mushroom.

Meanwhile, Smurfstorm ran over to her house, where Spitfire was napping until he heard footsteps coming towards it. He then jumped up and was ready for anything his owner was about to tell him. She then petted her dragonfly while saying, "Spitfire, I need a huge favor. Think you can give me a hand, partner"? Spitfire nodded as Smurfstorm then went to grab a bucket while saying, "I need to make this essential potion, and one of the ingredients is fiery dragonfly mucus. How much of a noogie do you have"? Spitfire tilted its head in confusion, not understanding what Smurfstorm was trying to tell it. She grimaced slightly before getting an almost genius idea. She then grabbed a stray feather off the ground and tickled Spitfire's nose with it. As the dragonfly staggered and was about to sneeze, she held the bucket up and in front of her face, prepared to catch any flying mucus. With a mighty sneeze, spitfire released a lot of glowing mucus and smoke, and while the mucus landed in the bucket, the smoke went all over Smurfstorm, turning her almost as black as a bat.

Spitfire bowed and chirped its apologies as smurfstorm shook her head, saying, "No problem. Thanks again, Spitfire," as she ran to find her friends, leaving a curious and confused Spitfire to tilt its head and smile. She luckily ran into Hefty and Jokey, who were walking around in search of something. She came up to them, saying, "Got the dragonfly mucus, where's Ari"? Jokey exclaimed, "We don't know! We tried containing her in Hefty's mushroom, and she escaped. She's almost eaten snappy Bug four times and earlier, requested Baker to make her shoe fly pie." The three smurfs almost gagged in disgust as Hefty added, "Trust me, that's the least weird thing she's done so far. Then, she ran off, and we haven't been able to find her." Smurfstorm quickly gave jokey the bucket as she said in concern, "She couldn't have gotten far. We have to find her." Suddenly, Smurfstormplaced her hand on a tree as a booming voice said, "Do you mind? I'm trying to nap here"! Hefty, Jokey, and smurfstorm jumped back in shock and looked up. Hanging on one of the tree branches upside-down with her feet was Aria, who now had purple shoes on, her arms crossed, and did not seem to be too happy. She was still wearing her fake fangs but was pretending that they were real as she asked, "Why do you smurfs look so surprised"?

Hefty then asked, "Aria, what are you doing hanging upside-down from that tree branch," as Jokey added, "And by your feet nonetheless"? Aria raised an eyebrow as she answered, "Trying to sleep, of course. The sun's too bright, and you know I hate getting sunburned. I much rather sleep in this shady spot until night falls." Smurfstorm facepalmed before saying, "Kid, you're not a bat! You're a smurf! Get down from there before you smurf your neck or something"! Aria chuckled before saying, "I'm just fine, Stormer. And what's it to you? You used to sleep in trees, so why is this any different"? Smurfstorm then exclaimed angrily, "Because I don't hang by the tree branches with my feet as a smurfing bat does"! Hefty was able to calm her down by saying, "It's ok. Aria, unfortunately, has entered stage 2, so she's denying her behavior, and will, unfortunately, be stubborn about it, no matter who tries to convince her."

Smurfstorm quickly took in a deep breath as she said, "You're right. I need to get the other two ingredients before she becomes a full-out smurfpire! Jokey, keep that mucus safe until I return"! Smurfstorm then gave a sharp whistle as Spitfire came flying in, putting his owner onto its back and flying quickly into the forest. Once she was gone, Jokey placed the bucket of dragonfly mucus down as Hefty, Jokey, and Aria broke into laughter. Hefty wiped a stray tear as he said, "This joke's going so well"! Aria was still laughing as she climbed down, saying, "Everyone's doing a smurftastic job! Plus, these new velcro suction shoes Tailor made really helped with the whole "hanging from a tree" schtick. Now, all we need to do is set the stand for stage three, and she's going to scream her scarf off"! Out of the blue, SmurfAggie joined them, asking, "How's your prank coming along, guys"? When they saw SmurfAggie, they screamed in fright as Jokey jumped into Hefty's arms, and Aria had her bow and arrow out, in case of self-defense. SmurfAggie was wearing a simple white dress, but her long dark blue hair covered her face. Aria then shakily asked, "I-Is that you, SmurfAggie"? Luckily, she nodded, saying, "Scared you good, didn't I" Hefty placed jokey down and showed a nervous smile as Jokey answered, "You almost smurfed us to death, Aggie"! Aria then asked, "What the smurf are you, anyways"?

SmurfAggie chuckled as she answered with, "I'm a White Lady, a ghost originated from an ancient legend back in my homeworld. They say that White Ladies roam in many locations all over the world. They are found in areas where accidental deaths, cold-blooded murders, and other malicious killings occur. Legends say they resemble the theme of loss, betrayal, and heartbreak. The first one appeared after a woman died when her husband betrayed her, separating her from her unrequited love, and she's been looking for revenge since." Chills were sent up their spines as Jokey said, "Now that's not a funny story. That's down-right scary," as Hefty added, "You've smurfed it, Jokey." Aria added, "If it weren't for this prank, I'd smurf my pants in fear and hide under my bed until the party tonight." SmurfAggie then went up to Aria and said while playfully poking her in the chest, "Well, that should teach you a lesson in scaring unexpected smurfs. Now that I had my fun, I want to help you guys out with this prank you're pulling on Smurfstorm. Anything I can do to help"? The trio looked at each other and smiled as Aria said, "You know what? There is one thing."

Later on, deep in the forest, Smurftorm headed to the one location she dreaded: Gargamel's lair. She struggled to find a bear claw but had a streak o luck, finding a dead bear in a secluded cave. It looked like it was in a fight and lost badly, but the best part? A claw broke off one of its fingers, and Smurfstorm was there to pick it up. Now, all she needed was a drop of cat's blood, but the sun was setting, and time was running out, so she needed to act quickly. She used a leaf to make a small container for the drop of blood once she could collect it and started to head to Gargamel's lair. Inside, Gargeml was not around to her luck, leaving Azarel alone and napping under a table. Quietly, Spitfire landed on the windowsill as Smurfstorm climbed inside, moving as silently as she could. She kept thinking, How can I get a drop of blood from that cat? I can't just attack it, or else it'll notice me, and that's the smurf of things. Luckily, seeing Spitfire, she got an idea as she signaled her dragonfly to go and bother Azarel. Spitfire flew towards the cat, its buzzing sound instantly waking it up. It tried to swat it, but Spitfire easily dodged and was able to land a wicked bite on its paw. The biter pierced its skin, cutting Azarel's paw as the cat winced in pain and tried to shake the pain off. As it did, one faint drop of blood was launched, and Smurfstorm used her lead container to catch it. Smurfstorm then silently signaled spitfire to get out of the way as spitfire moved so quickly, it made Azarel too dizzy to spot it, giving her and her dragonfly enough time to get away unnoticed.

As Spitfire flew as fast as it could, Smurfstorm said, "Now buddy, back to the village! I have a potion to make and a sister to save"! Meanwhile, night has begun to overtake the sky as in Smurf Village, the Halloween party was beginning to take a full swing. Every smurf was dressed up in a festive costume and either talking to one another, dancing to the music, or both. Hefty was dressed up as a pirate, wearing a formal teal jacket with gold buttons, blue pants with dark brown boots, a navy blue hat, and an eyepatch that had a smurf on it. Jokey was dressed up as a scarecrow, with green overalls, a red checkered shirt, and a funny farmer's hat. He also had straw poking out from inside his clothes. They noticed Smurfstorm coming towards them, who had quickly stopped by her house to change into her costume, which was a witch's outfit. She had a dark purple hat and dress that were both decorated in gold stars. The hat had a giant buckle and a star that hung at the tip of the hat. In one hand was a fake wand she made to go with the outfit, and in the other was the bear claw and container holding the drop of blood. She went up to them, saying, "Got the stuff, now let's make that potion, fast"! They quickly went into Papa Smurf's house and got straight to work. Smurfstorm poured in the mucus into a big container while Hefty ground up the bear law, turning it into dust, and Jokey added the drop of blood into the mix. They mixed everything up as together. It became a purple, glittery, transparent, water-like mixture.

Hefty looked at his "book" and said, "The potion is made. Now, all we need to do is to dump the potion of Aria before the full moon reaches its highest point in the sky, and the curse will be broken." Jokey then asked, "Great, but there's one problem. Where is she"? A startling screech was heard by the trip as smurfstorm carried the bucket of the mixture with her while they went out to look. On a tree branch was possibly Smurfstorm's greatest nightmare. Aria was now wearing a full bat bodysuit with the purple shows from earlier and large, pink, scaly bat wings shined in the night. On her head was an orange, bat-themed smurf hat, with 2 large purple bat ears sticking out, one on each side. She screeched again, bearing her fangs at her "foes." Smurfstorm's knees were shaking as she asked, "Don't tell me she's in stage 3"! Hefty and jokey nodded as Hefty added, "She is! and unless we dump that potion on her, she'll be in that form permanently"! Jokey then said, "What are we waiting for? Let's dump this on her"! Then, Aria jumped and used her wings to glide through the sky, away from them. They began to give chase, not wanting to lose her, but Aria the bat was elusive in the sky, maneuvering past mushrooms and fellow smurfs with the greatest of ease.

Smurfstorm then looked up and saw the full moon begin to rise and knew that it was only a matter of minutes before the "curse" became permanent. Luckily, she got an idea as she climbed to the top of one of the smurf's houses, with the bucket of liquid in hand, waiting for Aria to come towards her. Hefty and Jokey kept giving chase, pursuing Aria as she glided in the sky. Approaching the house, she gave them a quick wink as they winked back, coming closer and closer. Then, in a swift move, Smurfstorm dumped the liquid on her younger sister as Aria staggered and crashed towards the ground, right in the middle of a group of smurfs. SmurfAggie, Smurflily (who was a butterfly ), Smurfblossom ( who was a clown ), and Smurfette ( who was a magician ) watched in surprise with everyone else as Smurfstorm treaded lightly towards her "unconscious" sister. Hefty and Jokey watched from a distance, holding in their laughter from what was about to happen.

Once Smurfstorm was close enough, Aria then struggled to get up, letting out a startling hiss and bore her fangs at her, making most of the smurfs jump back. Smurfstorm fell back to the ground as she asked, "But...how? The moon's not even at the highest point yet. Did it not work"? Aria started coming towards Smurfstorm as Smurfstorm had a pure look of terror, bracing herself for what would come next. However, she lowered them after hearing what sounded like laughing, which came from Aria, clutching her sides. Smurfstorm was confused but then realized what had happened when Aria said with a smug look, "Feels good to be a prankster on Halloween"! Everyone around her, including Papa Smurf and Smurfwillow, were laughing as Smurfstorm got up, asking, "Wait? This was all some big prank? You're not really a smurfpire"? Aria answered in mid-laughter, "Of course! Smurfpires don't even exist! I made that up. I originally wanted to try and make a fake cut out to scare you, but then I thought becoming one would be even scarier. So, I enlisted the top prankster, Jokey, and Hefty, to help me set the prank up. At first, Tailor helped me make my costume so I would look so lunch like a bat, even making me these special suction shoes to hang upside down without falling. We talked to Papa, and he permitted us to use his lab to make the "potion" we gave you, and by the way, it's not a smurfpire recovering potion. That was a translucent liquid potion. Anyways, I knew that just becoming one wouldn't scare you, so I thought that the only way to get you "hooked" was to get you to believe that if I was in pain. I used smurfberry jam to make that bitemark you saw on my arm. Then, to finish it off, we got everyone in town to go along with the joke so no one would get startled or scared by anything that would occur. All of this just so I can finally see that look on your face and say once, and for all after years of failed attempts, I scared the toughest smurf warrior in the village."

Smurfstorm was dazed for a minute but then ended up laughing as she replied, "Ok, I'll admit, you actually scared me, kid. Took you long enough, but please, promise me you won't pull a prank like that ever again. I really thought you were becoming a smurfpire, and it made me worry about your safety. I didn't want to lose you again." Aria nodded, saying, "Promise," as the two hugged, making everyone in the crowd awe in admiration. Once the two separated, smurfstorm then smirked and said, "Just so you know, I'm going to so get you back for that prank," as Aria Chuckled, saying, "Can't wait not to see it coming." Aria then faced the crowd and said, "Well, what are we standing around for? The full moon's out, and we have a party to celebrate! Let's get all spooky," as every smurf started to jump, cheer, and dance. Jazz smurf began to play some haunting music as Aria, Smurfstorm, Smurfblossom, Smurflily, and SmurfAggie, the group otherwise known to Smurf Village as Smurf Harmony, were all on a stage, ready to do a spooky performance.

Every smurf was cheering and applauding for their stellar performance as the five girls bowed and waved at everyone while exiting the stage.
