Stephanie and Randy had worked out a visitation schedule for Murphy. Stephanie was dropping Murphy off at Randy's room for the next two days.
"How are you today?" Randy asked Stephanie.
"Good." "How do you feel?" She said referencing his eye which now had yellow bruising.
"Fine." "It doesn't even hurt anymore."
"I'm sorry about that."
"I expected it."
"Did you tell Samantha?"
"Yeah." "She didn't take it well." "She's not talking to me." "She's been staying in a hotel."
"I'm sorry." "I hope you two can get passed this." "I know you love her."
"I do." "Before this happened, I was thinking about asking her to marry me."
"Well if it's us she's worried about tell her she doesn't have to." "I'll tell her if she wants." She knelt down by Murphy's stroller and kissed her on the cheek.
"Bye Murphy." "Mommy will see you at the arena tomorrow night." She left.
Randy took Murphy out of her stroller.
"Hi." He said.
"Ga." She said.
"I know, let's play with some of your toys." He sat on the floor with her and got out some toys. "Want your rabbit?"
Randy had been on the road for two weeks and hadn't talked to Samantha at all. When he pulled into the driveway of his house, he was surprised to see Samantha's car there. He went inside. Samantha came into the living room.
"Hi." She said.
"Hi."
"I need to ask you something." "Am I the one in the way?"
"What?"
"Is the reason your not with Stephanie because you're with me."
"No."
"Are you sure you don't love her anymore?" "I need the truth."
"I don't love her." "I love you."
"Ok." "So, when do I get to meet Murphy?"
"Really?" Randy said smiling.
"Yeah." "We need to get to know each other."
"Well I need to convert one of the guest rooms into a nursery first." "Come here." She went over to him. They hugged and kissed. "I love you."
"I love you too."
