The mornings in Ionia are usually filled with peace and tranquillity. People would spend their time outside in the slightly cool breeze, meditating, jogging, drinking some warm tea. However, this was not the case when you run a terrorist-like organization.
Mornings for Zed were tiring to say the least, his usual routine would be to do some form of training or meditation before the sun was up. He did this to avoid as much distraction as possible.
The rest of the day would be filled with either hunting targets for his contractors or watching over his students train. He could always order someone else to takeover his place, but things would get very boring very fast.
This morning was no different than the rest. The moment he finished getting ready for his day there were three timed knocks on his door that effectively put his tranquil mood to an end.
He begrudgingly went to open it, but not without letting out a sigh.
He was surprised to see that one of his advisors Ayame was standing on the other side looking equally or even more annoyed. She seems to have just woken up and haphazardly put something on before coming to see him.
"Someone is here and she says she wants to see you." The respected tone she usually used was apparently thrown out the window. Zed couldn't blame her and he was more worried about whoever was visiting him to really care.
"Does this person have a name" Zed asked.
"Well she said you'd know her when you see her" Ayame answered.
Almost as if she remembered something her eyes lit up a bit and said that the person had white hair before turning to leave.
"You're wearing your shirt backwards" Zed pointed out just before Ayame turned a corner.
She looked backed at him with a confused expression before checking her shirt, realising that he was right she looked back up with an embarrassed blushed, bowed down muttered an apology before rushing back to her room.
Finding the sequence of events a bit humorous he wore a smirk making his way downstairs to meet his visitor. He had a good guess of who it would be considering white hair is very rare especially in Ionia.
As he reached the bottom floor he noticed one of his pupils coming towards him.
"Master, your visitor is waiting."
"Allow her in." Zed replied as he moved to sit.
Once the doors opened and he saw who the person Zed was surprised and a little disappointed.
"Riven"
"Zed"
Both of them held fiery gazes towards each to say the last time they met didn't end well. Riven was slowly making her way closer to Zed putting her hand on the hilt of her blade, while not breaking her gaze.
Zed would've grown anxious if he didn't know what she was here for, but this was not the case however his guards were already surrounding her with their weapons drawn.
Another moment of complete silence.
The doors where Zed came from had slammed open and as a distressed looking Ayame came into the room. Everyone had shifted their attention to her.
The only sound that broke the silence was a muffled laugh, Riven had her hand over her mouth trying to stop herself from laughing just watching the scene she had caused.
Zed had joined in and everybody else had started looking at each other with the most confused faces. It isn't everyday that you get to hear the infamous Master of shadows laughing with the first Exile of Noxus.
"What's going on here." Ayame asked sounding annoyed
"It's nothing serious." Zed answered
"You never paid me back for that round of beer" Riven stated with a very monotone voice while staring him down.
Zed slowly realising what was happening turned back to her before saying "That was six months ago, you didn't even see me."
Riven had a smirk on her face as she said "I don't know anyone else who would pull a move like that especially on me"
Zed lightly slammed his fists on the arm of the chair before muttering a "damn".
Ayame still being left out, but knowing the stranger meant no harm had asked everyone else to leave the room. She turned back to the only other two people left in the room.
"Will one of you please explain what's going on." She asked once again, annoyed tone still evident.
The both of them looked at her for a second then looked at each other and almost as if they practiced it both of them in sync had said "it's a long story."
