Kagome still couldn't believe it. There underneath Sesshomaru was a full grown ass woman covered in pee. She was still laughing as the sun started set. Well there went her first date with Sesshomaru.
Her laughing stopped suddenly after his eyes narrowed at her. "Miko, what is so amusing?", his voice was chilly. He was keeping up his facade of being the ice prince, the killing perfection. "I am sorry my Lord, but she has seemed to soiled herself.", Kagome replied cheekily.
Sesshomaru nose lifted in the air and took a long whiff. Damn dog demon there was no way he missed it. Then he did the most surprising thing, he laughed. The killing perfection was laughing. The sound was deep and harmonious. She was captivated.
The demoness looked up in surprise at the sound and scowled. "You think this funny you stupid human whore!!", she spat blood out onto the ground. SMACK.
"Listen here you...you...jelaous thot!", Kagome screamed in the demoness face. Her hand still glowing pink with swirls of blue. A burn mark the shape of Kagome's hand was across the demoness face. "I spared your life, pleaded it, yet you still insult me?", Kagome was furious.
The demoness stayed sat stunned while hissing at the burn across her face, then she to broke out into a fit of laughter and rage. "IS THIS REALLY ALL YOU CAN DO?!", She snorted. "To think Lord Sesshomaru hired me, his mother's own personal maid to take care you!", she laughed again.
"I took the job because my lady said to. We had hoped it was because Lord Sesshomaru by some miracle had found little Rin. Imagine my surprise when I was escorted to take care of priestess trash. Then my anger when told of who you were!", the demoness spat. "If Lord Sesshomaru would waited one more measly year, my lady was going to bless me with the title of mate. I have worked hard to be so adored in court even as a maid. Plenty Lord's have offered me their hand but no I waited for him and you just snatch him away!", the demoness was starting to tear down. "All the wealth I would of had , the riches, the title!!", she broke down her laughter and anger turning into heart broken sobs.
Kagome was furious, she was livid, she didn't know what she was but angry. Aboustly angry. This woman was after Sesshomaru for wealth? For a stupid title! How shallow could people be? To think demons always talked about how selfish humans were, how greedy. Said that things like envy were human emotions... yet her it was a demon herself displaying such things.
Kagome's hand lit back up in holy power an her eyes narrowed. She stalked her prey while it was weak an launched herself forward. She pressed her palm flat into the exposed chest area of demoness and twisted her hand so her powers made an ugly deep burn. The one on her face would heal perfectly but this burn? It would forever remind her just what humans were capable of, what she was capable of. It would forever remind her what selfishness cost.
Yes Kagome had mostly definitely changed. Along with power, strength, and beauty came her ability to stop feeling sorry for every sob story. This was such a sorry excuse for a sob story, sad because she tried use a man for wealth and lost. Demons were just as sick as human kind.
The demoness to pained to move away started growling and her marks started changed. Kagome knew then it was enough but she could not pull away. What was it about this woman that ruined the calm she built over years? She was ever grateful when arms pulled her away and a curtain of silver hair blocked her vision.
"Kagome stop this nonsense. She isn't worth your anger. She isn't worth a second of your time.", Sesshomaru whispered in her ear. Kagome stilled and calmed, her holy powers diminishing from her palms. "You , I'll make sure my mother gets rid of trash like you.", Sesshomaru said cold and neutral , his normal persona back in place. "Now go and never cross my presence again", were his last words.
Before Kagome could react she was swooped up in his arms and returned to her hut a few feet back. "Eat.", he ordered to her. Kagome nodded and fixed her a plate before pausing and eyeing it warily. "It is not posioned Miko, she may been free with words but not even she was that stupid.", Sesshomaru sounded annoyed causing Kagome to flinch... He was right back to calling her Miko..had this whole ordeal ruined any chances they had before it even began?
