"I will not lie to you my Lord. I am doubtful. It's a slim to none chance. Naraku honestly more then likely absorbed them. He was evil, children meant nothing...", Kagome began to cry.
"If you are so doubtful why must we even go so far? The word of a friend? Is that all you really need?", Sesshomaru breathed out.
"I...I just want my kid back. He was mine. My little kit was taken away from me! I couldn't even bury him! I have no place to go to honor his memory! If there even a small chance I'm going. I will not give up now that I have that hope again. ", Kagome voice was demanding, motherly love and instinct shinning.
"There is no chance Kagome. They're dead.", Sesshomaru spoke in a whisper. He knew the words would break her heart. Could she handle the disappointment?
"You're wrong. I'm going. You can not stop me! I AM GOING FIND MY SON. If you do not come, I will bring Rin back along with me to prove you wrong. How dare you? There's a chance your daughter is alive, a chance she escaped and is living well and you give up on her. I'm disgusted. ",Kagome spat venomously , turning on her heel an stomping away.
He didn't want come with her fine. He didn't want be with her that's okay. What wasn't okay was trying to destory her hope. She didn't want tell him why incase it was a fluke but she was given no choice. What wasn't okay was he was so easily giving up on Rin.
A clawed hand hit her shoulder. "I am sorry... it's not that I wish to give up on Rin...I am not good at explaining these things. Rin was my most precious person, my pup. She was the first person to melt my heart. I regret not being a better father. I hate that I denied her the attention she deserved , the love she needed.. all for the sake of my appearance. I didn't even know she was gone until it was to late. I looked for months nonstop until I gave up. I searched this whole country for a ghost. She is gone. If there is a chance your kit is a alive , go. I can not bear to search for Rin any longer to come up empty handed." , Sesshomaru spoke into Kagome's ear from behind.
"Well then we just cant come up empty handed. We find her, we find my son. We bring them home..", Kagome voice was clear with certainty.
Sesshomaru nodded in agreement. "We bring them home Kagome...then we ground them for making us wait so long see them", Sesshomaru voice was commanding but cautious. Kagome could still tell he was doubtful and cautious. She would have to prove that his hope was not wasted.
