Kagome was falling and she was falling fast. Sesshomaru stopped himself from grabbing her and she was grateful... although the fear was overwhelming her. Would anything stop her fall at all? Anyone?
Soon unfamiliar arms wrapped around her tightly and a soothing rumbling vibration went through her body. "You're such a silly foolish pup", A deep voice rang out.
Kagome didn't realize her eyes were closed tightly until she opened them.
"YOU!", Her eyes filled with confusion."Ah so you know who I am?", the stranger asked. "Of course I do. How could I not? You have amber eyes, purple markings, silver hair. You reek of raw demonic power, yet it's so familiar... You're Sesshomaru's and Inuyasha's dad..."
A green whip lashed out suddenly inches away from Kagome's face. "PUT HER DOWN!", Sesshomaru voice was loud , angry, and raw. He gracefully landed as his father landed a few feet in front him.
"You foolish pup! You could have hurt your mate! Have you become such a selfish alpha as to take that risk?!", Sesshomaru's dad voice rung out with livid disappointment.
"Do not dare accuse me of such. My aim is perfect , I would never hurt her." , Sesshomaru spoke coldly, "Why are you here? You're supposed be dead!"
"Ask your mate , she is the cause of so many souls being given a second chance.", Lord Inutashio spoke. "Whoa whoa whoa wait a mintue here I had NOTHING to do with this!", Kagome called out shaking her hands in air frantically, in a motion of pure denial.
"Oh but you did. What did you do with the sacred jewel shard so many years ago?", He spoke calmly. "I wished for the jewel to disappear...", Kagome whispered.
"Energy, power can not be destroyed.", He replied. A smirk crossing his features as recognition lit up on Kagome's eyes.
"I got rid of the jewel but all it's holy and demonic energy had to go somewhere..That would explain the sudden increase of young babes born with holy spiritual powers...So that means ..alot demons were brought back to... alot bad ones ...", Kagome's hands fidgeted.
"Yes but they're not causing trouble at this time. There was some few good demons brought back. I have three who wish very much to see you... who died in war but souls and bodies were brought back and left here on this continent.", Inutashio voice was warm, friendly, fatherly.
"LORD SESSHOMARU I KNEW YOU COME FOR ME!", a young womanly voice rang out. Sesshomaru golden eyes widen at the sound, the scent of orange blossoms assualting his nose. Rin.
A young woman with black hair braided behind her back came bounding out the tree line. Big brown muddy eyes and freckles adorned her pale flesh. High cheek bones and a pointed chin. Curves well established. Where had his little girl gone?
Before Sesshomaru could react he held the young woman as she cried. "Oh Rin..", his voice choked out. His daughter was alive. Kagome was right. "Why didn't you come home to the palace? Write? Anything?", He asked tears slowly sliding down his face.
"I did not think you would believe me but grandpa said you couldn't deny me if you came to me.", Rin eyes welled up with tears. "Deny you? Do you think me so foolish not to regonize my own daughter?" , Sesshomaru's voice came out cracked with pain, regret, and softness.
"I would never and could never deny you Rin. You are my pack, pack runs deep. If I had known you were alive , I would came so much sooner. I had thought you to be long dead, years gone. I am foolish and regret such thoughts. I have failed you as a father and I am terribly sorry to have done so. This Sesshomaru apologizes."
