13. a new journey?

Everyone froze at Kagome's deceleration of a new journey for them all. A sense of uneasiness washed over and looks of hesitation looked at her. Shippo slowly cleared his throat and said ,"No , we can't. The last journey killed us Kagome. I'm ready to just live a normal life."

Kagome's head snapped towards her son in disbelief. "What about Sango and Miroku. Inuyasha? What if their alive and lost? Trying to get back to us? Sesshomaru looked at her a slight anger in his eyes as the mention of her former love, his brother, "Shippo is right. We only came here because their was word these two were here. Be happy enough the children are alive. Let's go home. If word ever comes the others are alive then we will go look. We can no chase ghost with no idea where to look. We have other things to do. Our mating for one should he priority. "

"All of y'all agree then? To just give up on our friends? They need us!", Kagome shouted back at the small group people angrily. "NO THEY DON'T", Shippo replied back shaking ,"We don't even know if they were brought back! I am not going on another wild goose chase with unknown dangers and neither should you."

Kagome's power.flared up and lashed out at everything around her The demons off the group had to retreat before being completely purified, "Yall are all so selfish.Shippo all the times everyone else stuck out their necks to save you, to help me raise you. Sesshomaru all times you've told me that you regret not having a relationship with your brother before his death.. all have chances here to pay back what you couldn't before and you would abandon them completely."

Kagome turned on her heels and begin to March when a strong hand placed itself on her shoulder smoking from the lingering traces of her power. "Poor child, I've already went on such a journey and these two were the only ones found other than other low life demons and the new holy people being born. My youngest son is not alive, I would have found him by now. As for the others you have mentioned I am not sure but these two have been with me a long time. If we would have come across them, they surely would of recognized young Rin or Shippo no?", Sesshomaru's father spoke gravely.

"So what else am I supposed to do?", Kagome's voices cracked as she broke down into her grief. All the pain of missing her dear friends rushing back into her ,slamming agaisnt her heart. "You focus on the life you have now. You have a courtship to finish and a mating ceremony in future to focus on. Your son who has missed you terribly. You have plenty to do at this moment.", his voice smoke of sympathy but also sternly.

Kagome looked back at her beloved. Sesshomaru looked back at her with eyes of golden honey full of promises. A promise to love her, to confort her, support her, and the promise to stick beside her. "I want to go home.', Kagome spoke directly to the promising eyes looking dead into her soul.

"Than it shall be done.", Sesshomaru voice commanded. Slowly he walked towards Kagome and took her hand in his. Pulling her tightly against his chest he lifted them up on the air ready to head back to the west. To Edo. Looking down his father jad followed suit with the two young ones in his arms securely.

The journey was short and hopes were crushed but they found what they were looking for. Now the question was, where would Kagome's still newfound relationship with Sesshomaru would lead.
