It started out as a perfect Monday morning waking up in bed with my partner, best friend, and now girlfriend. Me and Hailey admitted our feelings for each other a little over six months ago when she got back from New York, and life has been perfect ever since. After about fifteen minutes with no sign of her waking up I decided to wake her up myself and started kissing her neck. After about a minute I felt her stir awake and herd her hum in content. She turns around to face me her beautiful blue eyes staring into mine. "Good morning baby" I say. "Good morning. I love you." "I love you more." "Are we seriously doing this again?" she laughs. "Yes" I say as I lean down and kiss her and she kisses me back. After a few intense minutes her phone starts buzzing and she groans reaching over to grab it and I just laugh. I see she got a text from someone named Nic who I have never heard of.
Nic: Hey Hails! I was wondering if you wanted to hangout this weekend and go mini golfing just like when we were kids. Its been a minute and i've missed you.
Hailey: Yes i would love too! I'll let you know what my schedule looks like since I know we're both busy with our jobs.
Nic: Sounds great👍 hopefully i'll see you soon!
"Who's Nic?" I ask trying not to be jealous. "Nic is one of my best friends. I've known him since I was two". "We have to get ready for work." she says and leans up to kiss me.
I was interested in finding out who Nic was but little did I know today was the day I was going to meet him.
