The early morning breeze was flowing into the motel room from a nearby window. It had a warm touch, gently waking Brittany from her sleep. After a few moments she got up and started her morning stretch. She took a quick glance beside her to Alvin's side, he wasn't there. Again. How does he manage to wake up so early? She thought to herself. But without another thought she got out of bed and headed towards the bathroom.

After freshening up anew she headed over back to the bedroom and heard the TV was now on. Alvin's back. She wasn't sure what to say to him after what happened last night. She basically exploded of jealousy in his face, and he only pushed harder, tipping her to her breaking point. So she decided not to say anything at all.

"I'm a hit at the lounge." He boasted once he heard her walk into the room. He was stretched over the small sofa in front of the TV.

"You'll definitely be hit if you don't shut up," She muttered quietly to herself walking over to her suitcase.

"What was that?" He heard some sounds coming from her but inaudible to understand. After a couple moments he took the hint and continued, "Anyways, since I was such a success yesterday, they invited me to the lounge's anniversary party later tonight." He gloated some more, before adding, "and, I can bring a plus one." he smirked.

Another event at the lounge, how fun. She wasn't the least bit interested if he was going to ask her to be the plus one. But she didn't answer, besides, this was Alvin, he would probably invite some chick from the other side of the building. Plus the only party rockers there, would be senior citizens. It was an easy pass.

"Which would be your cue; to beg me to let you come," He waited for a response.

No matter how much she didn't want to say anything, curiosity got the best of her. "As if." she rolled her eyes. "why don't you ask the receptionist? I'm sure she would be dying for you to take her." She said the last part with heavy sarcasm.

"She'd die before I even asked." He answered.

"What do you mean?"

"She's like, 80," He said in an obvious tone. "But the main reason you're coming with me is because there's a prize. Probably cash, and we could use as much of that as we can."

"Probably cash?" She raised an eyebrow, "And I am not coming with you." She wasn't about to party with old people for a prize that could be as useless as a discount on dentures.

"The only way I have a chance at the prize is if I bring a plus one, so you're coming. Whether you like it or not." He said with a hint of irritation, not about to take no for an answer. But she persisted.

"No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are." He stood up from the couch.

"No." She crossed her arms around her chest.

"Yes, and that's final." He took a few slow steps towards her and stopped, adding, "Unless you prefer hitchhiking your next ride." He gave her a devilish grin.

Her jaw dropped, he was blackmailing her. Again! She almost considered the hitchhiking idea because it meant she wouldn't have to put up with him, but then she'd have to go back home. There was no way she was going back yet. She needed enough time to get over Bart, and gather the strength to face him. Not to mention they were the talk of the town, everyone had figured out by now what happened between the 'it' couple. She needed things to die down before returning, and Alvin was the only one who could grant her that.

"Fine. Whatever," She groaned in agreement, "But don't expect me to indulge in any mindless activities." She proclaimed, letting out a puff of air.

He grinned triumphantly, "Wouldn't think of it." He quickly responded with a wink.

She let out a short sigh, rolling her eyes and came out with, "whatever."

"Be ready by 7 -sharp." He told her before exiting the room.

It was only 10, so Brittany did her usual morning routines, and decided to take a quick nap. Before dozing off, her mind wandered back to what she was trying to avoid. Bart, her friends, her family. She knew running away from her problems was probably a mistake, but just the thought of dealing with everything put her under weights. She didn't want to deal with all that drama, at least not for a while. She further wondered how her friends took in the news of her abandonment of her social life all because of a breakup. Or how Ms. Miller and Dave had reacted, the punishment they'd be given once they returned home wasn't going to be light. Soon enough Brittany drifted into a slumber.

By the time she woke up it was near 5 in the afternoon. Crap! Was the first word that came to her mind. She over-napped, and now only had about 2 hours before the party. She rose to her feet and started getting ready. It was now a little past 7, and Brittany was struggling to pull up the back zipper of her dress. She was wearing a baby pink high waisted, a-line dress. The sleeves were cut short just covering her shoulders, and the neck lining was low showing her delicate collarbone. It had a lace bodice, nicely hugging her torso, but the bottom half was flowy and went down to her mid thighs. Along with matching simple pump heels. Her hair was put into a low, wavy ponytail, she would have gone with something fancier but she didn't have much time. Her makeup was light, but still noticeable. She had applied angel pink lipstick, a light shade of pink eyeshadow and a soft light blush. To complete the look, around her neck was placed a silver necklace with a small circle pendant, it was a gift from her adoptive mother and she rarely took it off. Ms. Miller…

"Yo, Brittany! Let's go!" Alvin abruptly yelled from outside the bathroom door. Startling her from her thoughts.

"Give me a minute!" She yelled back. The zipper just wouldn't budge. After a few minutes of prying on the zipper, her arms were getting tired.

"It's 7:30, get the fuck out of there!" He yelled again, impatiently. He was starting to think she was purposely trying to dodge the party, "If you're planning on skipping the party-"

She opened the door to his face mid shout. She looked down, trying not to look at him in the eyes. Her face was turning a shade of her dress. Alvin's rage suddenly turned to confusion, as he noticed her odd response. He expected her to yell back, instead she didn't say anything, and appeared shy and somewhat afraid.

"Can you…" She trailed off, not sure how to ask him, "Can you zip it up?" She turned her back to him, clueing him on what she asked for.

"Uh...sure, okay." Was all he got out.

It had been a while since their last physical moment together. Tension filled the room as Alvin moved closer to her. He was calmer than he was a couple minutes ago, but he was feeling a new kind of emotion. One he hadn't felt in a long time, one that was harder to control than anger. But he focused his attention on the zipper before his thoughts became harder to control. Slowly raising his hands onto her back, he swiftly and slowly moved her light caramel locks to the side, revealing her exposed back.

He was heavily breathing down her neck, warmth spread through her body while his fingers were tracing her back. She was beginning to feel a little light headed, and hazy. His touch was mesmerizing, as he slowly and carefully moved his hands tracing along the open zipper. She felt her face blush even darker than when she asked him. Her skin heated up as well, radiating enough heat to melt ice. Her stomach was getting fluttery and her legs started trembling. The feeling of his hands on her skin, brought back memories of last summer. The way he used to kiss her lips, light at first but then more intense by the minute. She would remove his red cap from his head and place it on her own, play with his messy locks, twirling her fingers around in them, hearing his soft laughs in between kisses. How she longed for his loving touch again. But before she completely lost balance, he brought the zipper up and moved away.

A wave of disappointment filled her insides when his touch was pulled away. Her heart was still rapidly beating, and she almost forgot where she was. Her thoughts were so powerful, she almost felt as though it was last summer all over again. She wanted it to be last summer again. Where times were simpler, no drama, no breakups, no stress about college, just her and Alvin's special moments. Although, she never thought of those times as anything more than physical moments, a small piece of her wanted more. But she knew Alvin's feelings differed. He was rather complicated. He had quite a bit of girlfriends in the past, had his fun, but he wasn't in the looks for a real relationship. He never completely committed to them, not as much as he commits to music.

"Um, thanks." She turned around to face him, just noticing his outfit. It was one of those rare times where Alvin would actually dress up formally.

He wore a maroon, button down, full sleeved, collared shirt. Over top of that, a black slim fit blazer without buttons. Paired with Black pants, that were kept up by a black belt. He had on a pair of brand new black dress shoes, and completed the outfit with his signature red cap on angled slightly to the side. He must have brought it a long out of habit.

"Yeah, no sweat." He shrugged off. "Whatever, let's go."

The drive to the lounge was quiet, quieter than usual. Not that Brittany was complaining, she had been dreading to get peace. Only this time the silence was just as irritating as his jokes. She felt the tension in the air, and so did Alvin, but neither of them were ready to confront it.

They had arrived fashionably late to the party, not that they missed much. There were elderly people and some younger adults standing around or sitting deep in conversation. Not much life was present. Brittany recognized some people from their last visit, they were in the same spots as last time. She assumed they were usual incomers.

"Quite the event." Brittany said flatly after looking around.

He did the same look-around, "I can change that," He grinned to himself, "Say those exact words in about an hour." He finished confidently.

Soon enough, the mood lightened. The atmosphere was more lively than the moment they stepped in, the chatter volume had risen along with the movement. Alvin was demonstrating his dance moves to a couple adults and seniors. They seemed to be cheering and encouraging his already over-confident ego. Show off she thought. Brittany knew quite the moves herself, as being a former cheerleader, vocalist, and performer.

She headed over to the buffet, deciding she should enjoy herself with some food. The table was covered with a variety of pastries, desserts and treats. Everything looked too good to eat. At least something goods' come out of this She mused. Just as she was about to reach, a tap on the shoulder startled her.

She looked up and saw an elderly lady smiling at her. Brittany instantly remembered her face, she was the one who yelled at her saying, "We're old, not deaf!". Brittany felt her face flush a little from embarrassment.

"I know you!" The lady spoke, "You're the girl who accompanied Alvin last night,"

Wow. If she knew who Alvin was, then it's likely everyone else here does too by now. She looked over at him, who was now, graciously having a conversation with the group of people who had surrounded him earlier. Brittany brought her eyes back to the lady who was also looking at Alvin.

"Yeah, that's me," She sighed. "I'd like to apologize for my behaviour, I guess I wasn't in a party mood last night."

"That's quite alright dear, your boyfriend made up for that," She smiled. "He's quite the catch!"

"Oh no, we're not-"

"I understand. Boys like him may act like they only care about themselves, but it's the small things they do, that show their hidden feelings." She winked at Brittany.

"Trust me, he's done no such act." She muttered to herself.

"I know it's hard to believe, me and my husband were the same. He would drive me crazy to my core, but that's how I knew, he was the one for me. He was the one person who knew my weaknesses and strengths, the one who knew my thoughts, and kept me on my toes."

Brittany couldn't deny the fact that Alvin knew her pretty well, but she knew that was only because they've known each other for most of their lives. Definitely not because they like each other. But before she could say anything else, the host interrupted for an announcement.

"Now, for the prize event of the night…" He paused for a dramatic effect, "The couple's elimination dance!"

The lady gasped in delight, "This is a traditional favourite, you and Alvin simply must join the rest of us! The more the merrier!" She exclaimed brightly, pushing past Brittany to find her husband and get on the dance floor.

A couple's dance. Me and Alvin. This is the exact mindless activity she was here to keep away from. Biting her lip she scanned the room, hoping Alvin was too busy making jokes to have heard the announcement. But when their eyes locked, the probability of what she hoped for just jumped off a cliff. He heard, and was walking over.

"Remember when I said, I wouldn't think of it? Well I'm thinking of it. And we're doing it." He said as he approached her. "There's no point in arguing out of this, you and I both know what'll happen."

She knew he meant the blackmail from earlier. But she wasn't too taken aback, in fact she actually kind of wanted to dance. Only to prove she was better at it than Alvin.

"Fine," She said calmly, "But one condition,"

"What?" He eagerly asked, wanting to enter the competition before it starts.

She could have chosen something harsh, or a favour in return, but instead she felt generous. So she let him off easy, "You're sleeping on the couch the rest of our stay." She grinned.

He looked at her with both eyebrows shot up. He knew if he tried to negotiate, she would tune up the demand. It wasn't so bad anyways, maybe a little uncomfortable, but nothing he can't get through. "Fine, whatever." He said, taking her hand and entering the dance floor.

They made their way to a clearing on the dance floor, with the other couples keeping their distance. The participants were mostly adults, with a few elderly here and there. Brittany caught sight of the lady she talked to earlier. She had her head resting on a tall man's chest. She looked so at peace in his arms, as they slowly swayed back and forth. It was the kind of love Brittany had hoped for one day. With somebody special she always thought was going to be Bart. But thinking over the lady's words, could that somebody special possibly be Alvin?

She looked back up at Alvin, he looked different. It wasn't just the lights softly illuminating on him, but he himself. His features were softened, and instead of any sly smirk or grin, he was reflecting a soft smile. She felt her heartbeat increase, the same way it did when he helped pull up her zipper. Her face grew a warm shade of pink as her lips slightly parted. If it weren't for the overall darkness of the room, her flushed face would be most visible. What's happening to me?

Her thoughts were quickly interrupted as soon as the announcer began speaking again. "Alright ladies and gents, you know how this event works! Rules are simple; stay with your partner, dance through the whole song, show your moves, and don't get disqualified!" The host seemed just as eager as many of the couples ready to dance.

There were judges lined all around the dance floor, keeping an eye on every single couple. This gave Brittany a sense of nervousness. It has been a while since she last performed any physical activity. She just hoped her stamina would keep up.

"Follow my lead." Alvin said knowingly.

Follow his lead? She was sure he was planning on taking the spotlight to himself. "No. I'll follow my own lead, thank you very much." She folded her arms across her chest. Whatever she was feeling towards him earlier faded away as soon as his ego came back into the scene.

"Listen, Ms-I'll-follow-my-own-lead, if you haven't noticed, it's a couples dance. We need to be in sync, and that'll only happen if you listen to me." Just as he finished, the song started.

The song didn't get to the lyrics right away, giving people time to take in the vibe of the music, and warm up. It was a classic 80's rhythm. The beat was uplifting and seemed to be rather up-pace than one would be for a typical couples dance. She thought it was going to be a slow dance, where they would have to stick to each other like magnets, but was soon discovered wrong. She felt mild relief, but a ting of downness still managed to pull her heart. But of course, no one was going to win a competition swaying back and forth, and the host did mention to 'show your moves'. With that last thought, she shifted in her spot, arms still crossed around her chest.

Alvin was already nodding to the rhythm, and gradually brought his arms into a bent position near his hips as he swayed side to side. Then he started clapping, keeping his oscillation, and walked towards Brittany. Once he was next to her he leaned into her ear.

"Brittany," Impatience in his tone, "If you don't start dancing now, we'll be the first people out." He gritted through his teeth, keeping up a fake smile.

The only response she gave him was her traditional eye roll.

"Fine, have it your way." He said causing her to arch an eyebrow.

He definitely wasn't about to lose right away. Brittany could tell that his impatience morphed into more of something along the lines of mischievous. Being somewhat curious, she let him continue, as she stood there arms crossed.

Clock strikes upon the hour

And the sun begins to fade

The lyrics faded into the song, and by now couples were starting to progress out of the little warm up and into proper dance moves. Alvin along with them. He adjusted his cap, pulling the brim to the back of his head. A small twinkle in his gold eyes as he cast his famous smirk.

Still enough time to figure out

How to chase my blues away

He started getting into the feel of the song, his heart beating with the rhythm. A feeling not forgotten, he was now in his element. Starting off with subtle moves, he motioned his arms to symbolize the lyrics.

As Brittany watched Alvin, she couldn't help the feeling that was forming in her veins. The music was almost hypnotizing her to get her groove on. Slowly, her mood was swiftly lifting with the music, and the end of her lips were beginning to tug upwards to form a small smile.

I've done alright up to now

It's the light of day that shows me how

And when the night falls, loneliness calls

Just as Alvin finished his small little moves, he walked over closer to Brittany with a hop in each step. Brittany, now interested, narrowed her eyes as he approached her. The lyrics of the verse were just ending as Alvin stood directly in front of her, inches away.

"Let's dance,"

Oh, I wanna dance with somebody!

Ending his little jest, he quickly took hold of both her hands, and swiftly pulled her close to his right side. Causing Brittany to let out a small gasp. She stumbled a little by the force, but Alvin quickly stabilized her, and swiftly pulled her again to his left, then once more back to his right. Brittany instantly caught on, did the last move without force, and he gave her a twirl before pulling away.

I wanna feel the heat with somebody

Immediately transitioning to the next move, Alvin took her hands again and without any hesitance he pulled her body promptly, but gently against his. She rested her hands on top of his chest, while he smoothly brought his around her waist.

Being so close to him, gave Brittany butterflies. Her heartbeat went through the roof, and she felt her insides heat up even more than during the whole zipper incident. Their bodies were connected right against each other and their eyes made immovable contact. In the moment she could've sworn his eyes sparkled, not from the lights, but from within.

Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody

One last second of being spellbind, they pulled apart, already missing the heat of the other. But the adrenaline kicked in, and they leaned in their heads but kept their body's apart, while shimmying their shoulders.

With somebody who loves me

Both still apart, started motioning their bodies in sync, mirroring each other accurately on beat.

I've been in love and lost my senses

Spinning through the town

As the pre-chorus began, Alvin took his chance at a solo dance, while Brittany simply shook her shoulders with the beat while swaying side to side, starting into a small warmup. He continued to motion along, putting the lyrics into movements.

Sooner or later, the fever ends

And I wind up feeling down

The attention was all on Alvin. He started off shuffling, and then did some smooth side stepping, pointing his fingers out whenever the clap of the beat fell.

I need a man who'll take a chance

On a love that burns hot enough to last

Shifting his body he did a quick spin, and tugged on his blazer. Tugging his blazer he flashed a smirk that morphed into a pearly smile and gave Brittany a wink.

So when the night falls

My lonely heart calls

Alvin speedily raised his arms, before letting them go down slowly, creating a dramatic look, before resting his hands on his heart. His expression changed ever so slightly from teasing to soft.

Oh, I wanna dance with somebody

This time when Alvin pulled her towards him, she was ready. They became synchronized again, doing a similar side to side move. But this time with Brittany's back facing Alvin, as if they were performing in front of an audience, and gave each other glances every time they leaned to the side.

I wanna feel the heat with somebody

Just on cue, Alvin twirled her in a 180 degree, putting them face to face. This time Brittany took hold of Alvin's hand and pulled his body towards hers.

Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody

It was Brittany's turn to give him a smirk, as she pushed him away but kept their hands gripped. She stretched out her arm, causing him to do the same, before reversing the twirl to face away from him again.

With somebody who loves me

He followed along and put his back against hers, both nodding their heads, and sliding down back to back.

Oh, I wanna dance with somebody

I wanna feel the heat with somebody

Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody

With somebody who loves me

They followed pursuit reenacting the first moves.

Somebody oo Somebody oo

As the interlude started, Brittany took the opportunity for her solo act. She then started backing away from Alvin, who took the hint and did a similar warm up to what she did when it was his solo.

Somebody who loves me yeah

In a seductive fashion she turns her body around, looking directly at Alvin, and reaches her arms up to her hair. With a single motion she takes out the elastic that was holding her hair in place, flinging it away. Her hair slowly fell into place, making her appear angelic in the lighting. Alvin's jaw dropped as he watched her give him a devious smirk.

Somebody oo Somebody oo

Focusing her attention back to the music, she swayed her hips to the rhythm.

To hold me in his arms oh

She slowly opened her arms, and brought them in, hugging herself while taking small slow steps towards him

I need a man who'll take a chance

She effortlessly dips down slow, then flips her hair back and rises back up.

On a love that burns hot enough to last

Continuing towards him, she does swift actions with her arms.

So when the night falls

My lonely heart calls

She lifted up her right arm, then left in a fast movement, before doing the same dramatic fall of her arms, just as Alvin had done. Then she did the same exact action as Alvin did, and brought her hands back up to rest on her heart as she approached him.

Oh, I wanna dance with somebody

Just like that they were back together, and started the routine all over, with some minor differences with the dance move choices.

I wanna feel the heat with somebody

Another efficient twirl from Brittany, before she ended back in position.

Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody

With somebody who loves me

Both were now from smiling ear to ear while keeping their paces steady.

Oh, I wanna dance with somebody

I wanna feel the heat with somebody

Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody

With somebody who loves me

They once again repeated the routine, this time with even more energy.

Don'tcha wanna dance with me baby

They took their own stances, front to front, within arms reach. Alvin was feeling another rush of energy as he motioned over to Brittany.

Dontcha wanna dance with me boy

Brittany was feeling a similar rush, as she repeated the same motions as Alvin.

Hey Don'tcha wanna dance with me baby

This time they both did the movements in accord.

With somebody who loves me

They both sang the lyrics out loud to each other while raising their arms up.

Don'tcha wanna dance say you wanna dance

Don'tcha wanna dance

By this point Brittany was chanting with the song, while pumping her fist up into the air. Almost as if she was challenging Alvin.

Don'tcha wanna dance say you wanna dance

Don'tcha wanna dance

Alvin repeating the action, with his own fists. Not showing any signs of backing down while chanting with her.

Don'tcha wanna dance say you wanna dance

Without warning Alvin stepped towards Brittany pulling her by her waist, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. Preparing for the end scene.

With somebody who loves me

With the steady rhythm he lowers her down to a dip. Both of them keep eye contact through the motion, afraid to look anywhere else. Her ice blue, met with his golden orbs, as they stayed in the moment.

Without even realizing it, the song ended and Alvin and Brittany were the last couple on the floor. They never broke contact even for a second, they completely dazed out the fact that they were on the dance floor, with the attention of a multitude of other people in the room. It wasn't until an abrupt eruption of applause and cheering did the two snap out of their trance.

Startled by the sudden sound, they both jerked their heads away from each other and onto the many peering eyes of the crowd. Both their faces went scarlet red, but Alvin being the first to recover. He lifted Brittany back to a stand and moved himself away from her.

"We won!" Alvin exclaimed, breathing heavily, after a quick scan around them. No one else was on the dance floor.

Brittany doing a once-over as well, instantly returned to her normal state. "Yeah!" She replied with the same amount of enthusiasm. Her breathing was just as heavy as his, and her heartbeat was still running marathons inside her chest.

The adrenaline was wearing out and they were still taking intakes of sharp breathes. But both their faces held the biggest smiles, for the first time since they started the trip. This was another ardor she yearned to feel. The spotlight, the attention, the cheers and compassion. It was an experience that never got old, and couldn't be beat by any other. But before they could make any other comment, the speakers gave out a screech. Signaling an announcement was to be made, the crowd settled down, and everyone's attention went back to the front of the room.

"And we have a winner! Big round of applause to the lovely young couple!" There was another outbreak of loud applause before the host continued, "Can we have you two come up on stage for a few words." The host finished.

Alvin and Brittany gave each other a quick look of confirmation before heading up to the stage. Once they got into place, they waited patiently for the prize.

"Care to say a few words?" The host asked them, handing the microphone to Alvin, and another one to Brittany. "The crowd would love to know you, especially since you gave the performance of the year!" He smiled at them, and waited for them to do something.

But before Brittany had a chance to thank him, Alvin spoke up.

"Hell yeah! I just wanna say," He paused for moment before adding, "We fucking killed it!"

Surprisingly the crowd was pleased, and gave another wave of whoo's and claps. Considering the fact that these people weren't teens or even really young adults, they seemed to be a pretty loose crowd. Reminding Brittany of all the times they had performed in front of a teen targeted audience, and having them go wild with each remark made by the band.

"Yeah, what he means is thank you for having us. We really enjoyed tonight, and appreciate the support." She added after Alvin's immature comment. They needed to at least be somewhat mature about this.

"Now where's the cash?" Alvin pressed out.

"The prize you mean? Oh, it's not exactly cash," The host reached into a box hidden behind a table in the shadows.

Puzzled by the response, Alvin looked over at Brittany and she gave him the same look. So they waited a few moments until the host pulled out to small cards. They appeared to be gift cards.

"Two fifty dollar walmart gift cards!"

All this for only a hundred dollars that can only be spent in Walmart, she thought, of all places to use a hundred dollars it had to be Walmart. Brittany began to think of better uses, such as a nail salon, or some decent restaurant. The only thing they'd be buying from Walmart would be grocery. That would only be useful if they had a house, knew how to cook, or even had the supplies to make food. Her train of thought was interrupted when the host started to speak again.

The host gave a small chuckle after seeing their reactions, "I hope you weren't expecting a thousand dollar cash prize," He gave another laugh, "It was only a dance competition." He ended yet with another laugh.

Brittany realized they were still on stage, and that people were beginning to giggle. As much as she didn't want to, she had to say something nice. Just something that would be enough to take the cards and get off the stage.

"Um, well…" She put on a false sweet smile, "Thank you for the gift cards, but we gotta get going." She finished in a counterfeit happy tone.

"Right," Alvin said, bare with displeasure in his voice. Before quickly returning to his sly self, "I'll catch y'all Friday night" He said with finger guns, a smirk and simple wink to the crowd. Brittany had to hold back the eye roll.

They exited the building feeling a lot more like their normal selves, instead of how they entered. They quietly walked over to the red convertible without as much as a single comment about the prize they just disappointedly received. But once they were in the car, conversation seemed to be calling.

"I can't believe we did all that for only two walmart gift cards." Brittany couldn't resist the urge to complain.

"Whatever," Alvin commented. "Least it's something." He said while putting the car into ignition.

"Something useless!" She protested.

"You gotta be more grateful, Britt."

"I told you not to call me that."

"Whatever."

Just then, Brittany's anger faded and she began to lightly giggle.

"What?" He asked with confusion evident in his voice.

She continued giggling lightly. He was really that clueless, he pointed her out on it before, how come he didn't catch up on it with himself.

"You gonna tell me, or would you prefer I kick you out?" He said more irritated this time.

"Okay, okay," She let out a louder laugh. "It's just that, you said 'whatever' for like the fifth time today." She giggled again.

He didn't respond so she eventually stopped her giggling fit and turned to look at him. He had a resting smile on his face. She soon had the same expression. Even though today wasn't anything at all as she expected it to be, she actually did enjoy it. Dancing again, made her feel so alive. Doing it with Alvin, just made it even more exhilarating. She felt something inside her grow. Like a seed that had been planted a while ago, but only just started to sprout.

"I know, it's been more than an hour but," She started softly, "That was quite the event."

And with that, the two shared the rest of the car ride in comfortable silence, ready and awaiting for the next day, and the next adventure.
