"THE ALIENS ARE HERE!"

Sticks ran out, screaming her usual nonsense rambling.

But this time, the rambling was real.

She ran to Meh Burger, but saw that the squad had already moved on.

"GAH! Where are they?!" She screamed again as she ran.

The gang were on the beach near Sonic's shack, with Sonic chilling on his hammock while the rest played volleyball. Knuckles was in one team, and Tails and Amy were in another team.

Sticks tumbled and landed on the sand, kicking it up and blocking the vision of Knuckles. Amy spiked the volleyball on his side and it landed on the sand.

Knuckles wiped the sand off his eyes. "Oh, hey! I won!"

The blue hedgehog put up his sunglasses and squinted at the scene. "Sticks, you didn't have to ruin it."

Tails shrugged. "Yeah! I thought you only do this on our match point!"

"ALIENS! BIG ALIENS AT EGGMAN'S BASE!" Sticks blubbered out.

Sonic rolled his eyes. "Sticks, you say that all the time. I know Eggman's big and ugly, but don't call him an alien."

Amy scolded. "And Sonic, you don't have to go unassuming. What if Eggman really does have a big sneaky scheme in mind?"

"Then I'd know about it because I always get this gut feelin-"

And comedically, Sonic felt a churn in his stomach. "Yep... There it is. Uuuh... I don't wanna make it too obvious. Tails, you and me?"

"Sure thing, Sonic!" Tails started to fly with his tails.

"Amy, you rock out on the beach along with Knuckles and Sticks."

"Fine." She sighed. "But be back before sunset. You know how I worry about new dangers."

"I will be back!" He finger gunned as he started to run. "I always come back! Tails, let's go!"

"Right, Sonic! Wait for me!" Tails flew towards the volcanic lab.

Eggman was just sitting on his couch, thinking to himself.

Orbot and Cubot were on standby, awkwardly staring at him.

Orbot had a worried look on his... robotic face. "Uh... Boss? This is your third therapy session this hour."

"It doesn't make sense..."

"That's the 4th time you said that..."

Eggman lamented. "Why is there a human with one eye and a creepy bandage trying to be loyal to me? A human, no less? Usually that only happens when you summon a giant fire god to destroy a city in the future!"

Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails snuck in and peeked from a table.

Tails whispered. "How did this all happen anyway? Because of you and Eggman fighting? What was it about anyway?"

"I wouldn't accept his friend request on Friendspace." Sonic muttered while keeping a lookout.

"...classic Eggman." Tails shrugged.

"Yeah... It's time we get out. I see a strange book and I'm not one to mess with it."

Sonic and Tails tiptoed their way out of the lab to inform the gang... but Sonic stepped on a rubber duckie.

Eggman heard it. "Ooooh, so THAT'S where it went... Wait, Sonic?! It's you AGAIN?! We just fought... like... a few moments ago!"

"Oh yeah? Where's your alien at? Huh? And what's your book about?! You read?! Who knew?!" Sonic stood up for himself now that he was caught.

"Oh, you mean this book? I'll have you know that THIS is the ultimate weapon to destroy you loathsome pests!"

Tails looked at the book. "That doesn't look like anything from the library... What tricks are you up to?"

Tails examined the book closer. It was a simple black book, aside from the picture of the crucifix on the front cover.

"Tricks?" Eggman grinned. "I'm not pulling any tricks! But this 'alien' might! Hah hah hah!"

Eggman pressed his thumb on the crucifix picture.

Sonic tried to dash toward it but Tails pulled his brown scarf by force. "Sonic! No! It's dangerous-!"

A fire tornado appeared where Sonic would've landed.

He jumped back, landed on his feet, with his fists curled. "Oh, nelly..."

And there was the black-white twintail goth librarian girl again.

"Yes? May I be of assistanc-Oh... There's some newcomers here." She stared at Sonic and Tails, her bandage giving Sonic the shivers.

"Yes!" Eggman put his hands forward in motion. And those 'newcomers' are the enemy!"

"...Enemy?" Monosci tilted her head.

"Enemy!" Eggman repeated.

Sonic and Tails had a deadbeat glare at Eggman. You could practically hear the word 'bruh' from their faces.

"Ah, enemy! I see!" Monosci nodded and then turned to Sonic and Tails.

"Way to trick her." Sonic sighed.

Monosci raised her hand at Sonic.

Tails' ears perked up. "Sonic! GET DOWN!"

Sonic ducked under a sudden water geyser. "Oh, great! Fantastic! She controls the elements! Isn't that lovely?!" In case you couldn't tell, he was being sarcastic.

Tails looked to the busted door from the fire tornado. "Sonic! I think it's time we bail!"

But... Sonic's personality is a cocky type, and he fell for it. "Not yet, Tails! I wanna see just how much damage this girl can do anyway! Time for a fight!"

Sonic charged in for a swinging punch, but Monosci simply ducked under it, limbo style.

Sonic just stared. "For a gacha-looking character, that is some impressive bending..."

She then kicked Sonic with her heel and casted a fireball toward him.

Sonic took the fall, bouncing on his back and curling into a ball to jump over the fireball. All in all, he broke the fall.

But during Sonic's midair jump, someone blasted him with missiles, as he was sent flying out of the lab!

"SONIC!" Tails reached out. He turned to the culprit, and there was Eggman in one of his giant mech suits. The usual.

The threatening aura of a giant mech and a... human girl (her elemental powers were threatening though!) kinda cornered Tails here.

Eggman used his giant mech to throw a fist at Tails. He yelped and jumped out the gaping hole in the lab, leaving the doctor and the librarian alone.

Sonic was unconscious on the beach. He slowly got up. "Damff you Effmaf! Fait..."

He spat out sand.

"Dang you Eggman! Wait..."

He looked around. He was back at his shack. The rest of the gang weren't here, so they were probably at their own homes.

He looked up at the sky toward Eggman's base. "That librarian girl doesn't seem to be from here... I'll ask a certain someone on clues."

He then saw a yellow figure flying towards him. Sonic perked up. "Hey look! It's Tails!"

Tails waved while flying. "SONIC! Man I am glad you're okay!" He landed on his feet, brushing off his tails. "That was a close shave I had! They almost cornered me!"

"Am I glad that you're safe, Tails!" Sonic responded. "We need to figure out how to counteract those elementals! Because that librarian seems-"

"-Not from our world!" They said at the same time. Tails giggled.

Sonic also giggled. "Thought sharing. Pretty cool, eh?"

"Radical, man!" Tails responded, trying to be like Sonic. "And I think I know just the crocodile to help us!"
