The night at Cross academy was calm and quiet with the screaming day class students back in their dorms sound asleep. Although the classrooms were not as peaceful as you would expect them to be. The creatures of the night, or most commonly known as vampires were gathered in their respective class for another routine of study hours.
"What does that stupid bastard Kiryu think of himself? Adressing Kaname-sama with such disrespect!" the blonde noble with a pair of turquoise eyes yelled in agony.
"He is a descendent of a famous vampire hunter family, Aido. I am not very surprised to find his attitude offending towards us" the blonde noble's cousin, well known among the day class girls as 'Wild senpai' answered the blonde's words.
"Then he must be more than aware of the fact that Kaname-sama needs to be adressed with honour and respect. The next time I see him, I swear I'll rip him into pieces!" the pretty, long haired noble, next to the two cousins threatened.
"Don't forget to invite me to join the fun, Ruka.." Aido Hanabusa replied back. The only point where the two nobles came into an understanding regarding each other was in their opinion regarding Kiryu Zero. The night class's attitude towards the said hunter was of utmost repulsion and the only reason they put up with the silver haired hunter was because of their pureblood prince, Kuran Kaname; a vampire among the other vampires, the heir to the Kuran line, he who possesed noble blood in his veins. Kuran Kaname was an existence feared by the rest of the vampire kind. No one, be it common vampires or vampires of noble blood dared to get on the pureblood's bad side unless they had a death wish in mind. Disobedience was not tolerated by the dorm president and all the dorm members knew the fact very well and abided by the rules of Cross academy where pacifism was practised.
Badmouthing Kiryu Zero was a routine activity for Aido and Ruka and by now the whole of night class members had perfected the art of ignoring the two nobles' conversation.
Ofcourse they despised Zero, but none of them were as open hearted as Aido and Ruka to show their hatred towards the prefect in front of their dorm president.
In truth, Kaname could not have cared less as to what the night class blabbered on about the hunter. Although he would have taken a whole different view about if they were to insult Yuki. Yuki was the only person in the whole world; more like in the entire universe who he cared about. He loved her, with all his body and soul and he would readily given up anything if it was for the young human girl. Why their pureblood prince cared for a good-for-nothing human girl was a complete mystery to the rest of the vampire kind. The pureblood, himself was unsure as to why he felt so deeply about the girl, but he very well knew that love was irrational and the only thing that the brunette wanted was to protect Yuki and be the only person she truly loved.
The only person she truly loved...Only if it had ended up that way..Kiryu Zero! That man who was only a few moments away from falling into an E..there was hardly anyone who could challenge him in terms of power and wealth. Although when it came to love, the girl always chose the latter. It was not like she confessed her love to Kiryu..the problem was the girl's ignorance on the subject. No matter what he did for the girl, she refused to totally give into his love for her. The fact that Yuki loved him was clear, but whether that love was meant for him and only him remained a question. She would smile that bright yet slightly shy smile at him during class changeovers, but he had seen her smile that exact same smile at the silver haired guardian.
Kiryu Zero was an important role in his plans for keeping Yuki safe. He had entrusted the silverette as his beloved Yuki's knight. The hunter was meant only as a tool to keep the girl safe, but things seemed to have changed over the passage of time. The hunter held more meaning to Yuki than before. Her heart which had been completely his before, was now torn between Kiryu and himself. Never in his life had the pureblood prince lost confidence in himself, but when it came to Yuki, he was never too sure.
'When the day comes for her to choose between the two of us, who would Yuki choose? Me or him?'The students in the class were shocked when they heard the windows of their classroom crack. Their gazes turned to the pureblood prince who was standing beside the cracked window, holding a book gracefully in his hands.
Lately, their dorm president seemed to be less calm and composed. The fact worried the night class members, mostly his inner circle. But each and everyone of them knew they were not in the position to question him. They could do nothing, but watch as they were completely oblivious to their friend's inner termoil.
The first chapter ended up being short, so I'll work on increasing the length of the chapters. I hope you enjoyed it. I await comments, likes and ideas for the story. Love you readers!
