Conflicting feelings chapter three. Hope you enjoy!_
The entrance of the night class dorms were packed with fangirls and fanboys screaming in delight to get the attention of the approaching night class students.
"Idol senpai!"
"Wild senpai"
"Ruka chan!!"
"K..Kuran senpai!"
As usual, Yuki Cross was unsuccessful in her attempts to stop the rampaging day class students from flocking the dorm entrance with her male partner ditching his guardian duties. He was probably off in the stables lying around with that scary horse of his.
'Zero..' Yuki wondered. He had not had her blood even once after his first time feeding off her. Kaname and the chairman had made sure that Zero was nowhere near her for the rest of the week and by the time she got to see Zero, he seemed to be better. Or..that's how it looked like. Zero did not enlighten her of his situation no matter how much she had pleaded for an answer, so she had had no option, but to force an answer out of her adopted father.
"Zero's fine now, Yuki." The man had refused to tell anything else to her. She was still slightly traumatized by the whole turn of events on the day Zero bit her for the very first time, but she was far too concerned about Zero's condition to give much thought about him being a vampire in the first place. The fact that worried her was why he had refused to tell her of his circumstances before. Did he not trust her with his secrets? What was even more surprising was that Kaname knew about Zero's secret while she had not. It was irritating and depressing at the same moment. She could not help but feel left alone by the others regarding Zero's circumtances and it was a nuisance being that she only wanted to help her friend.
Th chairman had told her that Zero was fine, but her adopted father's did anything but convince her. Yes..Zero would be fine for the time being..at most a week or so due to drinking her blood, but what about after a week? Would Zero go back to suffering with blood lust? Kaname and the chairman looked over for her, but what about Zero? Who would be there for him to share his problems...
The brown haired girl was yet again lost in her thoughts about her silver haired partner that she was overwhelmed by the pressure of the rampaging fangirls. She fell on her back as the night class students walked past her. Every night class student except one walked away, smirking at her.
"Yuki..Are you alright?" chocolate brown eyes met an equally fascinating pair of brown eyes as Yuki held Kaname's hand to get off the floor. It was always the same. Just like that winter night where the pure white snow had been covered with crimson..It had always been this brunette vampire who had helped her through hard times. She admired and loved him with all her heart. He was always there to lend her a helping hand whenever she needed it. Kaname succeeded in helping her without fail whereas she was incapable of helping her closest friend whom she thought of as her own sibling. She was overwhelmed by her feelings to help and comfort Zero. She did not wish to be left alone in the dark any longer.Yuki gazed at Kaname's eyes in a daze as she thought of ways to be of assistance to Zero. She made up her mind to speak with the silver haired guardian right after her duties. She wanted nothing more than to talk and be by her friend's side. Even if that meant she was interfering. Yuki averted her long gaze when she felt the dark aura emitting from the hord of fangirls.
"Thank you, Kaname senpai." Yuki muttered her gratitude to the pureblood.
"Is something bothering you Yuki?" the brunette questioned the brown haired girl with worry filling every inch of his face.
"umm..no..Kaname senpai.."
"You don't seem like it. Tell me what's wrong. What's bothering you so, dear one?" Kaname's hand cupped Yuki's face in it making the Kuran fans gasp in shock.
"I swear, Kaname, nothing's wrong. I was just worried about Zero. He.." the brunette's features hardened on hearing the hunter's name being uttered by his lover. Even when he was deeply concerned for her..eventhough he was holding her so dearly, the girl was thinking about that man. Telling that he was infuriated, would be too much of an understatement. He was livid! A twig of a nearby tree broke in half as the pureblood prince thought of the silver haired hunter. Kiryu Zero...one of these days he might end up killing him by mistake.
The members of the night class stared in disgust as the human girl smiled at their pureblood prince. The girl was an eyesore. An insect before their eyes. Just like the male guardian, the only reason for them to tolerate the female guardian of their academy was their leader. If not for him, both the guardians would have met death by now.
"Kaname?" Yuki called out innocently to the brunette once she noticed the change in his expression. Did she say something wrong? Or..did realize that she was planning to let Zero drink her blood again? No he wouldn't know, would he?
"It's time for me to leave now. Take care, Yuki and do not resort to any reckless acts. I advise you not to be near Kiryu. I want your word, Yuki, that you won't go near Kiryu. Stay as far away as you can from him. Do you understand?" Kaname's voice had turned a few degrees colder than his usual tone which made Yuki nod her head in approval without even comprehending the meaning behind those words. Only when Kaname had gone away did she realize what she had agreed to. Not much time was left for her to repent on her foolishness as the fangirls who were consumed with envy attacked her. Her quick reflexes helped her to get away in time and she did not think twice before running for dear life. In her hurry to escape from the envious fangirls, she ran towards the forest. She ran and ran further away from the night class entrance. Once she stopped running and observed her surroundings did she realize that she had ended up in the stables. Inside the stables, near the only white coloured horse in the stable was a silver haired sleeping figure, dressed in a black, day class uniform.
'Oh god! It's Zero! What should I do?' the thought ran across Yuki's mind as she stared in shock at her fellow partner.
