'Blood..sweet..crimson..'
Every part of Zero's body screamed for Yuki's sweet crimson blood which was his only source of life. He had no crontol whatsoever remaining and the only thought that ran through his mind while sucking Yuki was draining the girl dry of each and every drop of the crimson liquid that flowed through her veins. The beast inside of him was laughing at the girl's foolishness in offering her blood to him when she was well aware of the fact that he was void of all his self control while the sane, human part of him was truly and utterly disgusted over what he was doing at the moment.
'You bastard. Don't you see who you are drinking from right now? Just because Yuki's innocent mind decided to give you blood does not give you any right to drain her as if she means nothing more than a simple blood substitute!' Zero's human self called out for attention, although he was doing the exact opposite of what his sane self advised him to do.
Zero, usually was a character with numerous self restraint and virtue and would not have dared to even lay a finger on Yuki's neck after his first time biting off her. The continuous craving for blood made him feel as if his throat was ripped open over and over again. It was indeed unbearable and a pure version of hell for him. But even if that's the case Kiryu Zero would have tolerated the pain if it meant that the only way to soothe the intolerable hurting was to drink from Yuki once again. Although his physical pain was not the only thing he was suffering from at the moment Yuki decided to offer blood to him. The mental torture that he had to go through everytime Yuki fondled over Kaname and everytime she hurt his feelings unaware of the fact that he saw her exactly the same she looked at Kuran Kaname was not helping his already miserable life. A vampire's unsettled emotions tended to make the usually hard-to-handle blood lust an extremely excruciating experience.
Yuki's ignorance on the matter of his feelings towards her were just making things worse for him in many ways. The logical thing for a exhuman to do in this case would be to just forget ever having his feelings reciprocated and have his rival, the pureblood prince have his way with the human girl. In terms of his vampire status that would exactly be the logical explanation, but given Zero..he was never the person to act based on concrete logic. If anything, that would best suit his rival's way of handling matters.
That bastard pureblood was always acting on some sort of stupid plan of his. Heck that blood sucker thought of everything as a stupid game and everyone else were his chess pieces. Zero was not a fool and yes; he had considered giving up on Yuki more than once. But what kept him from doing so was his opinion on Kuran. The man always acted based on some kind of ulterior motive and Zero was sure that his rival's so-called love for Yuki was also part of his stupid games although he was not exactly sure what part she was supposed to play. Whatever that motive may be he would not let that vampire have his way with his precious Yuki. No way in hell. He'd rather die than let Kuran have her!
Zero's hatred for Kaname was going rampant and the silverrette was unaware that his mental turmoil was causing him to drink more from Yuki. The brown haired girl was starting to go limp and her breathing was shaky. The girl had lost almost all of her energy and she was powerless to atleast struggle while she was drained of her blood more than she had expected to give Zero. Zero was hungry for her blood and he was taking what she had willingly offered him. She had told him to drink without bothering to control his pain and Zero was doing exactly what she had said to him. He was drinking...gulping down her blood hungrily..almost desperately. Zero's amethyst eyes were now dark shades of red which meant he was completely out of it at the moment. Eventhough a vampire's eyes when they were drinking blood were meant to be scary, she felt no such fear looking at Zero's ruby red eyes. Infact they were beautiful to her.
"Z..Zero.." Yuki managed to whisper as panic rushed over her. She was starting to feel scared now. A sensation she should have felt ages before. It was impossible to stop Zero now. Yuki knew that, but the way Zero was draining her completely without any control was not a welcoming feeling to her. She had thought that she was ready and strong at heart when she came up with the idea of sustaining Zero with her blood at first, but in truth she was terrified. Remorse and panic were the only feelings that ran through her mind as Zero continued to gulp down huge amounts of blood.
"Please..Zero..st." Yuki continued pleading although her vision was starting to blur. No..she could not die now! not here..Kaname..she had gone against Kaname's orders and dying when she was not in good terms with him was not something she wanted.
In a corner of his mind Zero was aware that Yuki was pleading him to stop drinking. He was aware and yet he was not. Her voice was like a small echo and in his dazed state, he did not pay any mind to it. The blood was delicious..an ambrosia from heaven to him. He could not stop drinking right now. A little longer..just a little while longer.. he needed to engrave this heavenly taste in his mind. Just..
"K..Kaname" Yuki's voice was still a whisper, but this time it did make the exhuman stop drinking. It was as if he had somehow forgotten how to drink blood or something.. Well..the reason did not matter to Yuki in her helpless state. The only thing that mattered was to make Zero stop draining her to death.
"Kan..ame..K..aname..Kaname!" In desperation, Yuki continued calling out her lover's name unaware of the impact it was having on Zero. Yuki muttered the pureblood's name like it was a charm because it really did have that kind of effect on Zero.
"K..Kana-" Yuki was cut off amidst her pleads by a sharp, low voice.
"Get off of her, you filthy vermin!" Kaname's voice was seething with rage which held no bounds on seeing the filthy exhuman draining his Yuki. Kaname's words made Zero retreat his fangs from Yuki's neck unconsciously. He was not completely sane yet, but the shock made him obey anyway.
'What..just..happened?' Zero wondered in shock as he stared at the seething pureblood.
Well..Zero's in for some trouble!
