"What do you mean we are not allowed to step out of the classroom, Takuma?"

"Like I said, for the hundredth time now, it was Kaname's order-" Takuma was starting to lose his temper due to the stubborn, blonde haired noble's continuous protests against staying at class until Kaname arrived. Takuma himself was wondering as to why his pureblood friend had not arrived for any of the lessons and why he was taking so long to return from god knows where he had wondered off to. Never mind the pureblood's whereabouts, it was his duty as the vice dorm president to keep the students from causing any kind of trouble while Kaname was away and Aidou's blabbering was doing nothing to help him at the moment.

"Well, we all know that it was Kaname-sama's orders. What I want to know is why he suddenly ran off into the woods leaving us here imprisoned here in the damn classroom for a total of five hours!" Aidou questioned Takuma once again, ignoring the other's weariness on the subject. He was not happy with their situation right now and he was not going to lie here doing nothing about it. Instead he was trying to gain any useful information from the only reliable information source in the room.

The rest of the inmates were also very attentive on the conversation between the two nobles as they had nothing to do and were quite restless themselves.

"Has it got anything to do with that scent of blood that lingered on the way to class?"

"Well..that maybe the reason...so please shut up now-" Takuma continued to shut the blonde off, but his attempts went unheeded as the blonde attacked him with yet another question.

"Whose was it?" Aidou's expression was stern telling that he was not going to back down anytime soon.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean whose blood was it?"

"How would I know? I am as clueless as you are!" Takuma responded.

"Is there any need to even ask that question, Hanabusa?" Ruka joined in the conversation making Takuma's growing headache twice as painful.

"What is it, Ruka?" the blonde faced his cousin in confusion.

"What I mean is..who else could that blood belong to other than that Cross girl?"

"Ohhh..." the blonde noble nodded in understanding.

"Took you long enough to figure that much out, Hanabusa" Kain teased his younger cousin. His cousin was a mastermind and a genius, but he could be so dense sometimes.

"Well..for reasons which we all are unaware of, only that good for nothing Yuki Cross can make our Kaname-sama act in such a way. Thinking about her makes me sick, honestly. What..what exactly does Kaname-sama see in that sorry excuse of a girl!" Ruka gritted her teeth in agony. This was one of the rare chances she got to express her opinion on Yuki Cross openly and without Kaname around everyone in the class wholeheartedly expressed their agreement on the matter.

"Now that the mystery of who the blood belonged to is solved-"

"That wasn't a mystery to begin with, you fool" Ruka's light teasing earned a few laughs from the rest of the class and a glare from Aidou.

"Just..whatever! so what was the reason for her injury? I don't think Kaname would disappear for so long just because she slipped, fell on the ground and scraped her knee or something silly like that" Aidou continued investigating the matter.

"You can't totally dismiss that option either. Who knows? Maybe that wimpy Cross girl really did fall on the ground while being chased by those fangirls and cried while pleading for Kaname to save her and stay with her till she fell asleep. She does think highly of herself just because Kaname is a little bit interested in her!" Ruka bellowed.

"Humm..yes..so that is one option. Any other ideas?" Aidou directed the question at the other members of the class, but most of them had started to lose interest in the blonde's questions and were now talking among themselves.

"You guys..I really don't think you should be talking about these matters with such disrespect just because Kaname is not here" Takuma butted in once again after realizing that the three cousins' conversation was invading a little too much of Kaname's private life.

"So you are fine with how things are?" Aidou and Ruka chorused.

"I am not saying that I approve all of Kaname's decisions, but neither do I think we are in any position to judge his actions"

"I agree with, Takuma" Shiki's low voice silenced the chattering students. It was rare for the red head to engage in any sort of conversation let alone express his opinion on something.

"Guess what? I really don't like to sit here like a couch potato for hours just because some silly girl got herself injured. And I do mean even if that girl is the person who Kaname-sama is interested in! I have better things to do than staying here doing absolutely nothing! " Aidou commented after a long pause.

"Now, now Hana-chan, don't start throwing a tantrum.." Kain teased the blonde. He too was starting to get bored due to the long wait and he found auburn haired noble found teasing his younger cousin a great leisure activity to pass the time. Aidou's expression after his comment was prizeless.!

Takuma felt a sense of relief when Aidou turned silent after Kain's remark. He owed a bunch to Kain for controlling the arrogant and persuasive Aidou and Ruka.

"Stop calling me that! And I was not going to throw a tantrum like some spoiled brat!" the blonde vampire said with a flustered expression. He was having a hard enough time staying put in the classroom and his cousin chose now of all times to tease him and he had specifically used his childhood name which Ruka and Kain had used to call him when they were small kids. The name was to be used only when it was just the three of them when they were kids, and hearing himself being addressed in it infront of him was downright embarrassing!

Kaname..don't tell me you've forgotten all about us!' Takuma wondered while watching the restless night class students.
