Prompt: Zodiac

Hey Baby, What's Your Sign?

"Capricorn, right?"

Hinata turned from the stone railing she'd been peering over, her curious gaze whipping up to sharp, honey brown eyes.

She was certain he was talking to her, she was the only one out on the balcony. She'd been enjoying a sparkling glass of wine and absorbing the silence of twinkling stars before etiquette forced her back into the crush of the high class party, however, she was certain she didn't know this man.

She didn't even remember being introduced.

He was tall, nearly as tall as her husband, his skin not much darker than hers. His chestnut hair was short but long in the front, falling dashingly above his right eyebrow. His nose was narrow, his lips firm but full, his jaw was chiseled and square.

She was sure he would be considered handsome, but whenever she thought of that word in regards to any man, her husband's face flashed through her mind instead.

For men like the one before her, she tended to use the phrase 'pleasantly featured'.

It made her feel less like a picky, Naruto snob.

He was garbed in a navy blue three piece suit, the neatly pressed fabric screaming of money and prestige. Much like his overall unguarded stance, his manner of dress fairly oozed his civilian status. The party was nearly equal shinobi and non-shinobi, and one could tell from a glance which was which. Those of the fighting class wore versatile attire, clothing that was appropriate for the evening, but doubled as mission gear should the occasion arise.

Very unlikely in this time of peace, however, shinobi were shinobi.

The words 'impossible', 'never' or 'absolute' held very little meaning in their world.

It was better to always be prepared.

"Your zodiac sign," he repeated into her perplexed silence, "Capricorn, am I right?"

She was even more thrown off kilter, but answered, "yes."

The night air swept through, chilling her bare shoulders.

She lifted her shawl higher, though the sheer fabric did little to quell the cold. It was her own fault for letting Hanabi browbeat her into letting a professional dress her for this event. Not that she was disappointed with the results. Self conscious as she was of her own level of attractiveness, even Hinata had to admit she looked very beautiful tonight.

Adorned in a mermaid cut, sleeveless evening gown, the dress looked as though it'd been poured over her figure rather than slipped over her head. The soft material was jet black, contrasting sharply with her milky skin.

It cinched in her small waist, dramatizing her rounded hips and generous breasts.

The top was modest, much to her relief, a straight-across neckline, barely hinting at cleavage, though the rear portion held no such restraints.

Her back lay naked to the night air, the fabric only returning to form a slight V at the dip of her spine.

The rest flared out at her knees, short at the front and slightly trailing in the back. Her shawl was fairly longer than normal, just short of her dress hem, littered with tiny glittering silver, sapphire and gold.

She truly looked the part of a moon nestled amongst the night sky and sparkling stars.

Considering her husband always dressed in the vibrant colors of a blazing sun, the tailor had insisted she compliment his coloring by showcasing as his polar opposite.

A yin-yang galaxy theme, that was their couple's flavor tonight.

Hinata had thought it was an incredibly romantic and sweet idea, she still did, she just wished that so much of the…well…moon wasn't on display.

It was hard not to feel kind of…naked.

Her long dark hair was twisted and curled in a complex pattern that was both piled atop her crown and dangled here and there around her shoulders, clavicle and back.

Her lips were painted black with a violet undertone, the bottom dusted in silver glitter.

Her eyelids were of a similar color, though were shot through with gold and silver.

Her cheeks were lightly touched with rouge, and her eyes traced in a feline shape with an eyeliner dark as charcoal.

Naruto-kun had been beyond enthralled when he finally saw her.

More than enchanted.

He was a randy sort of man, his daunting amount of stamina ensuring he was almost, always ready for action.

Couple that with his embarrassing addiction to her and well…

She wasn't called Konoha's Most Loved First Lady for nothing.

He'd been keyed up all night.

She placed him at a twelve on her Naruto horny level rating system.

Her scale capped at ten.

She suppose she couldn't really blame him.

Dolled up Hinata was a rarity.

Sure, she always dressed according to her station, never wanting to bring shame to her very important husband, but not usually to this extent.

He was itching to get his hands on her, nearly upsetting her painstaking hair style several times, she'd had to ban him to the other side of their transportation on the way to the party as he couldn't be trusted to keep his hands off her assets and his lips from marring her skin. He was particularly fond of love bites and hickeys and she'd die of shame if she had to walk around with his brand littering her torso at this event.

She could barely look her citizens in the eyes as it was considering she trotted around wearing his little pink marks for most of the average week, and God help her if she had to bring his lunch to him midday.

Her walk of shame out of his office and into the hall after he was done with her was so common place now, people no longer batted an eye, merely smiled that indulgent smile, greeted their Lady with a bow or wave and meandered on to whatever task had brought them to the Hokage Tower in the first place.

"My horoscope didn't lie."

Her brows creased, his words abruptly recapturing her attention.

"Astrology is a large part of my village's culture, we rely upon the stars and constellations to guide us through life's milestones, those that are mundane," he moved a touch closer, his voice softening strangely, "and those momentous."

There was double meaning in his speech, though, for the life of her, she couldn't decipher the significance nor the true meaning behind his word choice.

Slipping into hostess, Hinata replied politely, "oh, that's very interesting. I'm afraid I've not heard of such a village before."

"We're a fairly new village," the man confirmed, "founded a year following the war."

It made sense that she hadn't heard of them as of yet. Following the war and the ensuing peace, small pockets of populations began cropping up and thriving. With all this growth, it was incredibly difficult to keep abreast of it all.

"Horoscopes are quite common amongst villagers, though I've always been someone what of a skeptic of their predictions and guidances, at least, until now," his honey depths traced her smooth shoulders and darkened lips, "I indulged mine today, and it predicted I'd meet someone very important tonight. My perfect partner…"

Oh.

Um…

"That I'd find this person amongst the glittering stars of a glamorous night," he chuckled, gesturing at the party beyond the open French doors, "and what's more glamorous than a Kage gathering?"

Hinata glanced reflectively at the open doors and locked eyes with a set of vivid blue.

Her husband, Konoha's Seventh Hokage stood engrossed in a conversation within a small collection of very important men. He was listening to a man at his side, but she wasn't sure if he was retaining information anymore.

He had that look in his eyes.

That spark of intensity as he sized up the suit wearing man standing in her space.

She placed her blond haired hubby at two on the Naruto Jealousy rating system. He was aware of the male's proximity to her, and was monitoring the dynamics of their interaction.

He trusted her impeccably, it was everyone else around her that held his suspicious.

Contrary to popular belief, jealous wasn't always a sign of insecurity or distrust.

Even she felt jealousy at times, especially when her husband was surrounded by his fangirls.

She didn't beat herself up about it, nor view herself as some kind of terrible person.

Her feelings were normal.

Jealousy was a normal state of being on the scale of human emotion, how that jealousy was expressed was where negative connotation arose.

"I'm Haruki, Haruki Furuya," he introduced himself, holding out his hand to her, "Virgo," he added, stressing the name of the sign that was highly compatible with her own.

Snapping her attention back to the man for a second time, she reached for his outstretched hand, and placed her own hand, the one with her wedding ring, in it as she replied, "Hinata Uzumaki," politely stressing the highly married status of her name.

There weren't many Uzumaki's around, and considering she was staring at him with Hyuuga eyes, a dead give away for anyone that knew anything about the blond hero, there was absolutely no way he wouldn't realize that she was the wife of the most famous Uzumaki of their lifetime.

Nanadaime-sama himself.

As he raised her small appendage, staring into her eyes as he pressed his lips to it and held them there longer than was considered appropriate, Hinata knew he either hadn't made the connection or, worse, didn't care about it.

She tugged her hand back, clasping it in her lap, fighting the urge to wipe the lingering sensation of his lips from the back of her hand.

Such an action would be the height of rudeness.

"Uzumaki," he repeated, his smiled bright, "our meeting is nothing short of destiny," he stepped even closer, as he explained, "I came here looking to meet an Uzumaki, who would have thought my ordained other half and political interest would have been one in the same," he admitted honestly, raising his hand to stroke her cheek,"a relative to such an illustrious Clan."

She caught his hand midway, her grip on his wrist writhe with silent warning, though her pretty face remained serene and tranquil.

"If you wish to speak to an Uzumaki, Furuya-san," she murmured, withdrawing from him and re-wrapping the shawl around her slender shoulders as he rubbed his wrist, "perhaps my husband would be a better candidate to which you can share your political interests."

She lifted a hand, gesturing to the open patio doors.

The man startled as he looked over his shoulder.

Stone faced and sharp eyed, Konoha's Hokage stood large and imposing in front of the doorway, hands clasped behind him as he pinned her companion beneath the weight of his gaze. He was dressed in shades of a beautiful sunset. His jacket was a deep yellow, so dark it bordered on gold, his long sleeved shirt was colored a muted, but still somehow vibrant orange and was tucked into chocolate brown pants.

His messy locks had been jelled back, giving his foxy face a predatory glint when he frowned…

…as he was now.

"Ho-Ho-Hokage-sama!" the man sputtered.

His sapphire depths snapped to hers, and without a word, he moved to her side. He reached for her, crowding her space in that way she loved, warming her small body with the natural furnace of his. He reached out and touched her, splaying his big hand over the naked skin of her spine, pressing her intimately to his own towering form.

A blush tinted her cheeks, goosebumps pebbling her flesh as the intimate gesture ignited her whole body.

She placed his Naruto Jealousy level at a healthy six.

"It's chilly out here, Hinata," he murmured softly, his voice at odds with the hard look he'd given the man, his baby blues all sweetness and adoration peering down at her, "let's head back inside, Temari's been looking for you, dattebayo."

Hinata smiled, nodding her head in acknowledgment to the man as she was ushered towards the party doors, her manners not allowing her to snub the man.

Naruto held no such compulsions.

Her hubby passed right by him as though he didn't exist.

"Ah! Ho-Hokage-sama! Please, forgive my rudeness, I-I wasn't aware-"

Naruto didn't stop.

The annoyed Hokage swept her along as the man sputtered, "I-I know it is even ruder to ask but I humbly request an audience with you! My village wishes to pursue economic trade with Kono-"

"Book an appointment."

And with that, the couple were back amongst the party-goers.

He bent down to her ear, his voice naught but a husky rumble as he said, "we're leaving, if you like that dress, and wanna keep it, I'll give you thirty seconds to take it off when we get home."

Butterflies erupted in her belly.

She liked this dress…

She wanted to keep it but…

She also wanted him to take it off her…even if he ended up ripping it…

Jealousy was a healthy emotion, it all depended on what you did with it.

Naruto's jealousy often landed his First Lady flat on her back with her ankles pressed to her ears.

Hinata's jealousy often led her Hokage to the ride of his life below his buxom wife.

In their relationship, their trust burned just as bright as passion.

"You…you flirted with his wife?!"

Haruki Furuya gripped his chestnut locks in white knuckled fists, eying the nearest wall to bang his foolish head against.

He blew it.

This was their one shot to gain a one on one audience with one of the biggest powerhouses of the Elemental Nations, the entire reason they poured every dime they had into securing tickets, the reason they pulled every political string they had, and he'd fucking blew it!

That beautiful, ethereal creature standing amongst the night sky like a moon goddess made flesh was Naruto Uzumaki's wife.

"What the hell were you thinking man?!" his adviser shouted.

He hadn't been.

It was so unlike him!

But when he'd seen her, looked into her eyes, he hadn't been able to think of anything at all!

"M-maybe we can salvage this, w-what did he say?! Surely he said something after you told him why you came-"

"Book an appointment," Haruki repeated mournfully.

"An appointment! The Hokage's booked solid for the next two years!" the other man whined, "he hasn't had an opening in the last four!"

Haruki knew all of this, that's why they'd come up with this plan!

And he'd flushed it all down the toilet!

"I am never reading a horoscopes ever again," he vowed, thumping his forehead against the wall.

What is this one-shot? I don't freaking know, lmao. It came to me last night and I wrote it up. Ta-da!

Naruto and Hinata's outfit were inspired by this post: : / yuuba . tumblr post/155786577594/in-which-boruto-is-the-earth-and-tries-to-couple

I had planned on writing a one-shot for it, but Suryass gave me a better idea for that prompt, but still. I wanted to include it somehow!

Next one-shot is gonna be way heavy and way out there, so prepare your mind for smut with some very wild, emotional elements.
