Kunzite picked up Ava at the carnival and took her to a sushi place so they could eat.
He held out the chair to her and she sat down. Ava sat in front of him and ordered a California roll of sushi which he shared with her. The two enjoyed a lobster roll as well.
"Kunzite why are you so kind to me? Why did you choose me?" Ava asked him.
"You are smart and well read and...different from the rest." Kunzite said shyly.
Ava leaned close and kissed him on the cheek. She liked him a lot.
"So it's not just because I'm a gypsy then?"
"I like that you are a gypsy," Kunzite admitted. "But you are so beautiful besides all that. You are smart and different from everyone else.
Ava smiled."Y-You really think I'm smart?"
Kunzite kissed her lips and drew her away into the shadows where he pulled her into a kiss. He held her close and pulled her deeper in his embrace
Suddenly a woman with long red hair appeared. "Kunzite what are you doing here with this mortal woman. You are supposed to be tracking down the silver crystal and steal it from the moon princess."
"I-I don't care. I am in love with Ava." Kunzite tried to explain but the woman, Queen Beryl, struck him down.
Ava ran to him and held him in her arms. She shot Beryl a look of pure venom, and the Queen backed down. Ava then used her gypsy magic for the first time to heal her Kunzite
He held up his hands and cupped her face in his hands and kissed her. "Thank you for saving me from the darkness my Ava. But I can't put you in any further danger."
Ava held him tight. "Don't leave me Kunzite! Even if it's for my own good! I love you Kunzite! Don't ever leave me! Please!
Kunzite's will faltered and he fainted in her arms. She was right, he couldn't leave her.
Ava held him tight, tears streaming down her cheeks. She carried him to her apartment like that, crying and holding him close.
Ava would never let Beryl anywhere near him again. Ava would not allow Kunzite to be hurt. Not while she could fight for him.
Ava loved Kunzite. She would not allow him to be killed.
Ava would protect Kunzite with her forbidden gypsy powers and save him from Beryl
