Author's Note; Here is my first Ed, Edd 'n Eddy fanfiction. Lately, I've been obsessed with catching up with the show and got inspired to write this story. Hope you enjoy!

It's been two months since Mom passed away, and Dad hasn't completely recovered from that. Neither have I as I'm also in the same process of grieving while doing my best by being positive. Dad thought it would be better if we started a new chapter in a different place. Sure, I kinda agree with him but I'm nervous about it. New house, new people, and starting at a new school soon too. Thankfully, now it's summer vacation so everything can be full of relaxation while moving in and getting used to the new neighbourhood.

"Hey, Jelly Bean, check it out. Our new home."

I hear his words and take a peek from the front seat window in our yellow Porsche. "Yeah, looks great."

We've just stopped in front of a cool-looking house that is completely blue but has red doors and windows. The green-coloured moving vans under the company name of Heavenly Movers were also in front of us to help with all the furniture, equipment, etc.

"Ready, sweetie?" my dad says lovingly.

"Yip. Ready when you are," I smile at him. And I sincerely mean it.

If I were to describe my dad, I would say that he looks like a cross between the actors Hugh Laurie and Jeff Goldblum. Same facial features as Laurie but body figure and black curly hair like Goldblum. And me? Well, my dad always said I look like one of my favourite French actresses, Juliette Binoche, but with brown curly hair and some neon orange highlights, especially in my fringe which is always on my left side. And I felt like a change so I decided to get a pixie haircut, thanks to my dad who happens to be a gifted barber.

We get out of Star, our nickname for our car, and help to carry out everything from the big vans.

Eddy

"Hey, gang! New kid at one o'clock!" exclaims Kevin.

All of us are standing in front of a house that has no one living in it. We are seeing what is going on. Big moving vans, awesome-looking yellow Porsche, and a grown-up male who looks like he could play in a sci-fi movie, and a girl about our age. They are boxes and boxes of stuff into the newly finished blue house with red doors and windows. The girl is wearing blue and white sneakers, jeans, and a pink T-shirt with black sleeves. And she has black glasses.

"New kid!" says Ed in his usual goofy manner. "Let's go say hello!"

"Wait, Ed!" says Double-D, stopping him. "They look busy, maybe later."

"She looks awesome and pretty," Nazz says.

"She's not that pretty," says Sarah.

"To Rolf, she seems to be one of possible elegance with intelligence to boot."

"Well, she looks smart," Double-D says. "And that's not just because of her glasses. Sophistication...maybe? And it appears so far she has an intriguing sense of fashion."

"Yeah, yeah, Sockhead. My only hope is she's not like the Kankers."

"I highly doubt it, Eddy," Double-D says just as everyone else goes in separate directions, leaving just us Eds. "She seems too cool and nerdy, in a good way, to be like the Kankers."

"And fun."

"Eddy? Did you just say that?"

"Yeah, why?"

Brief silence.

"Why you giving me that weird look?"

"Why do I detect the feeling that you like her?"

"No, I don't! I…we don't even know her! Besides, I bet she's not my type. And she looks like the kind of girl you would date."

"Maybe, but I'm getting no reactions of nervousness or bolts of electricity that usually happens when a person admires someone. So that's a no for me, but you can't deny that she is pretty."

I scoff. "Yeah, right."

"Well then, come on, it's time for lunch."

"Lunch! Yum, yum, yum!" Ed shouts and begins to run.

As we try to catch up with him, I take one last look at the new girl. Maybe those glasses don't look so bad on her. Then I turn to where Ed is sprinting off to.

I settle in nicely in my room. It's a beautiful blue, just like the rest of the house. I put up all my posters of favourite movies, theatrical works, and music artists. Jaws, Avengers: Infinity War, The Terminator, Avatar, Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi teaser, Imagine Dragons; their Evolve album cover, Neil Diamond's name, Guns N Roses, Cher's name, Journey, Queen, Meat Loaf, Dragon Ball Z, Cats, My Fair Lady, and The Sound of Music are just some of the examples I hang up. "Bed is sorted, so is my desk, got my photo frames, books, music, movies, and my clothes…that's it."

"Gorgeous," I describe my room.

"Jelly Bean, you good?"

I exit to go to my Dad's room. "Yeah, thanks, Dad. Need help?"

"Just those boxes please."

After I sort out Dad's many books and files, we take a break in the kitchen with tea and a small snack. We each share a small bowl of roasted and salted nuts with salami sticks.

"What do you think?"

"So far, so good," I smile to Dad.

Later on, we are unpacking more boxes. Now and then, I would hear Dad either hum or sing Tom Jones tunes. It made me happy hearing him sing. It's been a while since he did that, not to mention he has a fun and good vocal range, almost like Hugh Jackman. And sometimes I would join in, father and daughter's voices complementing each other. Eventually, all is done to the point of us feeling tired. As I fall asleep in my new room, I contemplate all the events that have happened today and what could occur next.

Author's Note; I hope you guys liked reading this as much as me writing it.
