Ugh.

'Ugh' was all Annabeth could think of right now. It was early morning, and Annabeth was laying in bed, quietly. After a long day with Percy swimming, she was very sore. Her arms, her legs, her back, and her head.

Oh, her head. Not only did it hurt but; it was also full of thoughts from the previous day, and what would await her in the morning. Would Percy go on more dates? Would people be eliminated soon? These questions swam in her head.

Well, Annabeth would have to wait a few more hours. For now she just concentrated on trying to sleep. After a few minutes she started to doze off, snoring lightly.

(A/N this is a dream btw. Or flashback. whatever you call it.)

'Hey, Annabeth!' Twelve year old Percy called to his friend, Annabeth.

He found her sitting under a tree, reading a book about Greek Mythology. Typical Annabeth. Always reading. Reading, reading, reading.

It was late afternoon, probably 4 o clock.

'Hmm?' she mumbled, not looking away from her book.

' Oh, come on wisegirl! I finally finished all my work. Let's play! Let's go somewhere! He bounced up and down excitedly.

She closed her book, looking up at him bored. 'Sure, I'm in. What do you have in mind, seaweed brain?'

'I dunno, maybe we can go look at stuff in town?' He asked, still buzzing with excitement.

'He ha, okay seaweed brain. But can we eat first? I'm starving.' Annabeth's stomach grumbled hungrily.

'Sure! I heard there's a new burger place in town.' Percy licked his lips.

'Then what are we waiting for? Come on seaweed brain! ' Annabeth laughed.

Twenty minutes later...

The two had just arrived at the restaurant. It had a few people at some tables enjoying their food. Percy and Annabeth ran up to the counter where people ordered things.

'Hello, children! ' The waiter said, smiling down at them. 'How may I help you?'

'Hi there mister! Two cheeseburgers please!' Percy said.

'Oh, Prince Percy! Nice to see you here. Two cheeseburgers coming up!' The waiter said before heading into the kitchen.

Munch munch munch...

'This is good!' Annabeth exclaimed, practically inhaling her burger.

'Yeah, I agree! It isn't exactly blue food, though.' Percy said, eyeing the burger.

'You can't expect everything to be blue, Percy.'

'I can, and I will. Blue is the best color!' Percy exclaimed.

After the meal they went looking at shops and stores. They didn't bring a ton of money, so they could only afford the burgers and a few other things.

It was getting a bit late and the two were still not tired, pumping with adrenaline.

'Hey, let's go back to the castle now.' Percy said, slumping on the bench at the park.

'Aww, why are we in a rush? it's only 7.' Said Annabeth curiously.

Percy flashed Annabeth a signature smirk.

'Because I have a surprise waiting, now come on! We dont have all day, you know.'

'Alright, I'm coming. I really hope this isnt a stupid prank like last time!'

They ran back to the castle racing each other. Huffing, they walked up the stairs and into the observatory.

Inside they found a nice plush pillow fort with popcorn and other snacks. There was a T.V and the ceiling above was lighted with the beautiful starts.

'Wow, it's so cool! ' Said Annabeth, marveling at the sight. She jumped into the pillows and made herself comfortable. ' What's it all for?'

'We're having a movie night!' Perxy exclaimed. ' You like it?' he asked.

'Like it? I love it! Thanks, Seaweed brain!' Annabeth said.

Once Percy hopped in, they snuggled contentedly and watched Finding Nemo, Percy's favorite.

Halfway through the movie, Both Percy and Annabeth started to get sleepy. Annabeth's head fell onto Percy's shoulder, and Percy's head fell onto Annabeth's head.

At some point at night Sally and Paul came up to check on them. It was quite the surprise when they found them sleeping together.

Sally savoured the moment, taking pictures. She still has those pictures to this day, And Percy and Annabeth blush everytime they see it.

BRIIIING! BRIIIINNNGGGGG! BRIIINNNGGGGGGGG!

"Wakey wakey, Annabeth!" Dana called while opening the curtains.

"Big mistakey!" Annabeth called back, still tired. "I couldn't sleep that much." The dream felt like forever but it was only a few hours.

"Well, that sucks. You need to wake up now. Come on! Up, up!" Jules said.

Annabeth slowly got out of bed and trudged to the bathroom. She took a long, cold shower which woke her up. It also relieved some of the soreness from earlier.

After she freshened up she changed into the clothes for today. It was a long dress that reached her ankles. It was a bright white and had long sleeves with gold patterns on the torso, neckline and sleeves.

The three maids did her makeup and hair, today in soft princess curls. And finally to top it off, white 2 inch heels and a gold necklace.

"Um... do you guys have a schedule today?" Annabeth asked. "Anything that I should know?"

"No, not really. Prince Percy will most likely ask someone out, you know, get to know everyone better. Also, there will be a meeting in the meeting room at 3." Dana said while making the bed.

"Okay, well bye! See you guys around."

"Bye, Annabeth!" Elizabeth said.

Annabeth walked out of the room and saw that Piper, Hazel and Thalia were there. Thalia wasn't participating in the selection, she was there just because her dad, Zeus, was a wealthy businessman in town. Annabeth and Thalia were very good friends from a young age.

"Oh! Hey, guys. What are you guys doing here?" Annabeth asked.

"We were just waiting for you. After all, we're all friends here!" Thalia grinned.

"Great."

They walked to the dinning room and it was buzzing with people. Loid chatter filled the room all over.

The four found themselves some seats and started chatting.

"So do you guys know who got asked out last night?" Piper said as eating some salad.

"No. I just had a free day was Pretty refreshing, I got to go visit some people." Hazel said.

"Oh, old seaweed brain has finally got the guys to ask someone out now, eh?" Thalia laughed, biting into some pancakes.

They continued their little chat until they realized that Annabeth was being quiet.

"You okay there, Annie? You're being awfully quiet." Hazel asked, concerned.

"O-oh, yeah, I'm fine. I'm just dazed off there a bit."Annabeth lied through her teeth. Annabeth absolutely hated lying. Especially to her friends. Eventually the guilt had overcome her.

"Ugh, I cant keep anything from you guys. I have a confession to make."

"You finally killed someone? Let me guess," Thalia put her fingers to her temples. "Helen?" Thalia said.

Annabeth shot her a glare. "Who's Helen?" Piper and Hazel asked curiously.

"Guys! Were getting off track here. As I said, I have a confession." Annabeth waved her hand, signaling them to lean in close. "I got asked out by Percy." Annabeth said, clearly embarrassed.

"WHAT!?" The three girls screamed simultaneously. "Shhh! Guys! Keep your voices down." Annabeth said.

"Youre so lucky, Annabeth!" Thalia said.

"Oh my gods! Oh my gods!" Hazel whisper shouted.

"How was it? What did you do? Did he kiss you?" Piper, Hazel and Thalia kept on throwing questions at her until Drew Tanka and her little posse came by.

"Oh? You got asked out by Prince Percy?" Drew shot a death glare at Annabeth. "He's mine. Got that? He just asked you because he felt bad." Her and her group laughed obnoxiously. "And I heard you two are friends. It'll be more fun when I make him mine."

Her group walked off with their skimpy dresses and heels. Annabeth was unfazed, but her friends were.

"How dare she! I'm going to kill her!" Thalia said, getting out of her seat. Hazel put her hand out to stop her. "Are you okay, Annabeth?" Hazel said.

Annabeth just sighed. This wasn't the first time that this happened. When she was little, her classmates would make fun of her.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Don't listen to them. They're just want to get under your skin. Plus, I totally ship you and Percy." Piper said, poking her green salad.

"What does ship mean?" Annabeth asked.

"It means, like, pairing people together. Romantically." Thalia said, laughing.

Annabeth just stared at Piper. "I thought you guys entered this selection because you wanted to be with Percy...?"

"Oh, no. Not at all! We have other people we have a eye on. Our parents just sent us here by force." Hazel said, looking up at the ceiling. She looked like she was thinking of someone.

"Huh."

Just then, Some guy; A royal worker probably, shouted:

"Ladies And Gentlemen, I present to you the royal family!"

The royal family entered the room, looking as stunning as ever. Percy, However, looked exhausted, but made himself look presentable.

He shot Annabeth a look that said HELP ME.

Annabeth just laughed into her food. He'll be fine, She thought. I wonder how's he doing...

"Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday. Today I will be asking out more girls, but for now, please enjoy the food!" Percy said.

Hey, guys! you made it! I dunno if this chapter was hefty enough, but, you decide. So, this is totally unrelated to the story, but yea. So a day ago I was chilling in my pool when I saw a snake. It.was.so.ugly. It slithered off, but the next day I saw a bird in the exact same spot. I think they're friends??? so yeah.
