(Starts with a flashback. They're in fourth grade. Alyssa is being bullied by a few fifth graders. She is crying while the fifth graders are laughing.)
Alyssa: Guys, stop! *sniff* That's really mean! Why would you say that?
Fifth Grader #1: What are you gonna do about it? Cry to your mommy?
(They continue laughing.)
Marty: Just what do you think you guys are doing to her?
(They look to their left and see Marty. They scoff.)
Fifth Grader #2: Oh, look! Your hero is here to save you!
Marty: Don't you say that. And stop bullying my sister, chumps.
(The third fifth grader walks up to Marty and bumps him.)
Fifth Grader #3: Oh, you wanna go, huh?! You wanna go?!
Marty: Oh, you're approaching me?
(He starts trying to punch Marty, but Marty dodges all of them.)
Fifth Grader #1: What the f**k?!
Fifth Grader #3: How.. is that possible?!
Fifth Grader #2: We gotta leave now!
Fifth Grader #1: Uhh, we're sorry for messing with your sister.. please don't f**king kill us!
(They run away. Marty nods.)
Marty: That's right. Don't ever do that again!
Alyssa: Marty...
(She hugs him, crying on his shoulder. He hugs her back.)
Alyssa: Thank you..
Marty: Anything for you, Alyssa. Hey, if they get near you again, holler at me anytime. I'll always be there. I promise.
Alyssa: Okay.
Vincent: Marty!
(Vincent and Naomi go towards them.)
Naomi: Sorry we couldn't help, Alyssa. We were too caught up on our game of President and we only noticed when Marty came in.
Alyssa: That's alright. I get it.
Vincent: Speaking of Marty, that was incredible! How, Marty? Just how?!
Marty: It's all in the instincts. I learned all of it.
Naomi: Whoa! That must have taken a lot of hard work!
Marty: It indeed did!
Vincent: You're so cool, Marty!
Marty: Thanks!
(They all continue talking. Alyssa (present) narrates over them.)
Alyssa: (Narrating.) That "hard work" that they spoke about.. that's false. People say it's just an ordinary world out there, but that's what they want you to think. My name is Alyssa Gonzales, and I'm the sister of a kid with supernatural powers. My brother, Marty Gonzales, is lucky enough to be born with a superpower, which is the superpower to make everything around him in slow motion. He calls it "Slow Mo Sight." This and many other powers are super rare. Only 3% of the entire population is rumoured to have superpowers. That's the thing, though. Rumoured. We don't exactly know how many people have superpowers. Maybe it's because of the government's secrecy, or maybe it's because some people don't want to admit that they have superpowers. But we know that superpowers do exist, and there are a handful of heroes around the world using their powers to their advantage for good. But with heroes come villains, and they want to use their powers for bad reasons. There might not be many, but they're there, and they're powerful. This is the world that we live in. Pretty normal, right?
{Intro plays.}

(Starts at Harrington Elementary School. Alyssa and Marty are walking to school.)
Alyssa: You finished the homework, right?
[Alyssa Gonzales
Superpower: None
She's a naive girl who always is alongside Marty.]
Marty: Yea. I finished that in two minutes!
[Marty Gonzales
Superpower: Slow Mo Sight
The ability to have everything around him go into slow motion.]
Alyssa: Okay, superpower boy. Stop flexing.
(They both laugh.)
Marty: True. Even if I didn't finish it, I'd probably still finish it in time. What about you?
Alyssa: Yea, I finished it.
Marty: Good.
(They continue walking. Then Marty speaks up.)
Marty: Man, I can't believe that soon we'll have to go our separate ways in high school.
Alyssa: Yeah. I'll be going to Leighton, and you'll be going to T.I High. You'll be trying to improve your powers, and I'll just be a regular kid trying to survive.
Marty: Yeah. You know, if you want, T.I High is offering both of us to attend there since I'm already enrolled.
Alyssa: I mean, I should be fine with my friends, but I'll think about it.
Marty: Alright. If you change your mind, I'll let them know.
Alyssa: Okay. Thanks, Marty!
(They make it to the school. Marty and Alyssa then meet up with Vincent and Naomi.)
Vincent: What's up, guys?
Alyssa: Nothing much! So do you guys know what we're gonna do today?
Naomi: I heard that we're talking about high school planning today.
Marty: Nice! Can't wait for that!
(The bell then rings.)
Vincent: That's the bell! Let's go!
(They all go to the door and go inside. Then then spend the morning learning French, math, and going out for recess before they go inside again.)
Teacher: Alright, class. Now we're gonna start talking about high school.
Class: Ooh!
(They all start talking.)
Teacher: Now, now. I know you guys are excited, but let's cool down for a second. There are a lot of things to know first, so let me first know which high school you guys are going to.
(Everyone in the room except for Marty and Alyssa all say Leighton High at the same time.)
Teacher: Alright. What about you guys, Marty and Alyssa? You didn't say anything.
Marty: Oh.. I'm going to T.I High.
(The entire class looks at him, shocked. Marty looks at Alyssa with a look of regret.)
Naomi: T.I High?! That's like one of the best schools in the NATION! How and why are you going there?!
Marty: Well, it's kinda complicated. My uncle works there and he offered me to go there, so I accepted it.
Tom: Whoa, you're so lucky!
Vincent: Wait, that means that Alyssa is going with you, right?
Alyssa: Well.. I'm not sure.
Naomi: How are you not sure?! This is T.I High we're talking about! One of the best schools PERIOD.
Alyssa: Well... I kinda want to stay with you guys at Leighton.. but at the same time I don't want to leave Marty behind, so I'm kinda torn between Leighton and T.I.
Teacher: Well, that's a pretty tough decision to make, but I'm sure you'll make it soon. You only have a week and a half to decide, so choose wisely!
(The teacher continues talking. Marty whispers at Alyssa.)
Marty: (Whispers.) Wow, you weren't kidding when you said you were gonna think about it.
Alyssa: (Whispers.) What, you thought I was lying? Do you know who I am?
(He giggles.)
Alyssa: (Whispers.) By the way, nice lie there.
Marty: (Whispers.) Anything to keep the secret alive.
Alyssa: (Whispers.) Yeah, I know. Just saying.
(They stop talking and listen. Then after school, Marty, Alyssa, Vincent and Naomi are walking home together. They are talking about weekend plans.)
Vincent: So, you guys wanna meet up tomorrow?
Marty: Sure! We're not doing anything tomorrow, so why not?
Alyssa: Where, though?
Naomi: I don't know. Maybe at the mall?
Marty: Sounds like a plan!
Vincent: Alright!
(They continue walking and talking. Meanwhile behind them, a mysterious (or "sus") man covered in black is watching them. He is talking through a walkie talkie to another sus man in an unknown place.)
Sus Man: I've got him in my sights. What do I do?
Other Sus Man: Just do what I told you to do. Nothing else. The main event is tomorrow, so don't go overboard.
(He nods and goes towards them.)
[Break]
(The sus man bumps into Marty, putting a tracking device on him in the process. Marty looks at him with a grim look as they all stop.)
Marty: Hey, watch where you're going!
Sus Man: I suggest that you spend the most time with your friends of yours.
Marty: H-huh?
Sus Man: Your demise is soon.
Marty: My.. demise? What do you mea-
(He looks back and noticed that he's gone.)
Vincent: Hey.. you good?
(Marty thinks about it and then walks it off.)
Marty: Yeah. I'm fine. So you guys actually wanna stop by at Tims?
Naomi: I mean, I'm down. Vincent?
Vincent: I am kinda hungry. Let's do it.
Alyssa: Alright! Let's go!
(They walk to Tims. While they are walking, Marty thinks about what the sus man said to him.)
Marty: (Thinking.) I'm not exactly sure what he means by what he said, but if it's what I think he meant, then I'm in trouble, and I need to spend the most time with Alyssa and the others as possible.
A Few Hours Later...
(Marty and Alyssa make it home. They throw their bags in the closet and head to the living room.)
Alyssa: Man, thank God it's the weekend! I can't wait for tomorrow!
Marty: Yeah, but...
Alyssa: What is it, Marty?
Marty: I don't know. I just feel like something bad is gonna happen tomorrow.
Alyssa: Wait, how do you know? How can you be so sure?
Marty: The guy that I bumped into.. he told me "my demise is soon." I don't exactly know what it means, but if I'm correct, it means that they're coming for me, and possibly even you guys.
Alyssa: What?! No! That can't happen! You have to stop them!
Marty: I don't think there's anything I can do. Even so, I must prepare. Whatever they could be planning, it involves me.
Alyssa: Alright. I just want you to be safe. I don't want you to die.
Marty: I won't. I promise.
(They hug each other.)
Marty: (Thinking.) I can't die. I need to live. I haven't even told her everything about... my powers.
