I love this new ship and I had to write fluff. There's a headcanon from plasmacandle on Tumblr that I alluded to, that headcanon will be more revealed in future one-shots as well as Stardust Angel. Always going to suggest people read Stardust Angel because it's my first BH6 OC content and I've been having a lot of fun with it.

You should also go read Haunted Houses Are Better With Pasta by TheSparklyKitten because it's a really cute Halloween story about the Hiro and Karmi and Megan friendship.

"I haven't braided hair in such a long time…" Olivia wore a radiant smile along with her usual cat ears hat, though her date's typical kaiju beanie lay next to him on this occasion. She ran her fingers through his long, soft blond hair and Fred shivered with delight as she began to work it into a braid.

"You seem to know what you're doing," Fred said, glancing up at her from his place on the floor by her feet. They were in his room, hanging out a little bit longer after one of their dates. They'd only gone on a handful of dates but it was enough for Fred to feel absolutely smitten.

"I know a thing or two. Did you think my hair was always this short and teal?"

"I can hardly imagine you any other way. You're so cute," Fred blurted. A light blush made its way across Olivia's face.

"I like it too. But, and I can hardly believe it either, I was a proper young lady once. My Aunt Binky made sure of it."

Fred frowned, "To be honest, I have never liked that woman. I'm sorry, I know we don't choose our families and I'll make an effort to get along with them if it would make you happy."

"While I would like you to get along with my family, I have to admit that I'm not always the biggest fan of them either. Richardson is just a little kid and I desperately hope that he grows up to be a better person, but my aunt and uncle… They're set in their ways, which is not always good for me."

"We don't have to talk about them if you don't want to. But if you're comfortable with it, I'd love to hear more about the rest of your family."

"Oh, it's really just my dad and I and Peter."

"Peter? Is that your brother?"

"No, Peter is my pet spider. I do have an older half-brother but he's going through some stuff right now. Your hair is so soft!"

"Why thank you, I just got a new conditioner." Fred didn't realize that she was seriously sidestepping family talk and he was choosing not to think about the pet spider.

"It's very nice, Fred. I'm almost done with the braid."

"I can't wait to see your masterpiece."

"I think it's cute that you think you're my masterpiece."

"I'm not going to consider the implications of that," Fred decided, "I happen to know that I make a very rugged painting."

Olivia nodded at the painting of Fred riding a tiger in the background.

"Like that?" Fred burst into nervous laughter.

"No no no not like that I'm actually in the process of having that taken down."

"I like it. It's cute. Ridiculous, but cute."

"Yeah, it is ridiculous. I'm never gonna look like that guy on the tiger," Fred sighed.

"Hey," Olivia placed her hands on either side of his head, tilting it back so he was looking up at her, "I don't mind. So you're not a superhero, you're still super to me." She pressed a kiss to his forehead and he shuddered in delight.

"Ah," Olivia groaned, "I lost progress on the braid."

"I guess you'll have to keep playing with my hair," Fred said cheerfully.

"You like this, don't you, Frederickson?"

"I'd let you dye my hair a matching shade of teal if it meant you were here, running your fingers through my hair."

"I'll remember that," Olivia laughed, "I'm guessing physical touch is one of your love languages?"

"So much. And words of affirmation."

"That makes a lot of sense, Fred."

"What're your love languages? So I know I'm doing it right."

"Quality time and acts of service. Like when you fought Supersonic Stu for me."

"Well, fighting is a bit of an exaggeration, I was kind of just trying to get him away from you so that Big Hero 6 could do their thing, love those guys. You were really brave too, Olivia. I mean, Richardson just cowered in that piano, but you kept your cool as much as you could."

"Well, Richardson is 11, but yeah. It was the time to fake fearlessness, so I did what I could." Fred felt Olivia stop playing with his hair.

"Can I see?"

"Sure," Olivia pulled out her phone to use as a mirror and slid down on the floor next to him, putting an arm around one shoulder and her chin on the other, "Smile!"

Fred pulled his goofiest of grins and Olivia snapped a pic of the two, "That's a good one I'm posting that, can I post that?" Fred nodded.

"I look like I could be from Frozen," Fred laughed.

"We both look like we're from Frozen."

"Yeah? Are you my Ice Queen?"

"Maybe." Olivia jumped up and tore off her hat, beginning to sing the chorus of Let It Go.

Fred was nearly in tears laughing on the floor.

"You're the best girlfriend I've ever had."

Olivia stopped singing, "What was that?"

"Oh, crap, did I say girlfriend?"

"You said girlfriend."

"Well, uh, well we're here, I might as well ask now. Olivia Mole, will you be my girlfriend? I had this whole thing planned with a necklace and a band but… Well, it figures it would be like this." Fred stood, picking up her discarded hat and holding it out to her. Olivia drew him into a hug instead.

"This is better, Fred. This is much better."

"So…?"

"So of course I'll be your Ice Queen. I can't wait to see what happens next." Fred nodded, overwhelmed with emotion, slipping the hat over her head before wrapping her up and pulling her into a very, very nice kiss.
