Hello wonderful people. Today I am presenting a IzukuxUraraka fic with a hint of fluff.

It's something I've been wanting to write for a while and I just happened to find the time just now to be able to get it finished and posted up.

I know that there is a slew of stories with this particular ship. I will get around to a IzukuxJirou and IzukuxTsuyu ship at some point (though it may be quite a while).

Anyway, I'm rambling. Without further adieu, I present 'Meet the Urarakas'

"Are you sure this is ok Uraraka?" asked Midoriya.

"Of course. They are my parents after all. If I didn't think they'd be ok with this then I wouldn't have asked you to come along Deku" said an excited Uraraka.

"Ok, I just wanted to make sure" replied Midoriya.

Somehow, Midoriya had found himself accompanying Uraraka home. It wasn't any special occasion - that he could think of - as to why she had invited him along.

When he had enquired about it she had simply replied that it was something they hadn't done yet as friends. He hadn't visited any of his friends' homes other than Kacchans and that was long ago.

He supposed that it was true that friends visited each other's homes so he didn't argue it. Though even if he did argue it, what would his counterpoint have been? So here he was, approaching Urarakas' front door as Ochaco entered;

"Mom, Dad, I'm home!"

"Ochaco" came her fathers' call, "it's so good to see you" he said as he got up from the sofa and moved to embrace his daughter in a loving hug.

"It's good to see you too daddy" replied Ochaco as she reciprocated the hug.

Izuku then stepped in to the doorway just behind Ochaco whilst she and her father hugged before he noticed the young man;

"Oh, Ochaco you didn't tell me you were bringing a friend home" said her father as they broke apart.

"G-Good afternoon sir. I'm I-Izuku M-Midoriya. I hope I'm not intruding" stuttered Izuku as he bowed deeply.

"Nonsense, come in come in" chuckled Mr Uraraka. As Izuku stood back up, Mr Uraraka extended his arm and offered a handshake which Izuku cautiously but quickly accepted.

"Daddy, this is my friend Deku. Deku, this is my dad" said Ochaco making the introductions.

"Deku?" asked her confused father.

"Oh, that's what I call him but it's also his hero name" she explained. Izuku blushed, slightly embarrassed from the explanation whilst Mr Uraraka simply smiled at them.

"Dear, what's all the noise?" asked Mrs Uraraka from the kitchen.

"It's Ochaco honey. She's come to visit and brought a friend over too" he yelled back to the kitchen in reply.

Moments later Mrs Uraraka appeared from the doorway at the other side of the room;

"Ochaco my baby girl, come here" said Mrs Uraraka as she and Ochaco both moved towards and embraced each other.

"How have you been? Is U.A treating you well?" asked the matriarch.

"I'm doing well. School has been challenging but I've got great friends to help...oh, speaking of. Mom, this is Deku. Deku, this is my mom" said Ochaco, making introductions once again.

"Deku?" asked her mother in the same confused tone as her father.

"It's his hero name and Ochacos' pet name for him it would seem" said her father.

"Dad!" whined a mortified Ochaco whose face was now blushing bright red. Mind you, Izuku wasn't fairing any better. Mr and Mrs Uraraka chuckled to themselves.

Remembering his manners, Izuku decided to introduce himself to Ochacos mother...to make sure she knew Deku wasn't his real name;

"Good afternoon ma'am. I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's a pleasure to meet you" he managed out better than when he spoke to her father.

"Oh and so polite too" said Mrs Uraraka as she stepped over to Izuku and gently placed her hands on each of his shoulders from a side hugging angle, "Ochaco you haven't done this poor boy justice when you told us about him. He's so polite and handsome" she finished with a smirk on her face.

"MOM!" cried Ochaco as she nearly died from embarrassment. Again, Izuku wasn't fairing much better.

"Oh now Ochaco don't be like that. Why don't you show Izuku around whilst your father and I start making dinner" said her mother.

"Izuku, would you like to stay for dinner? You're more than welcome" offered Mrs Uraraka.

"Only if it's not too much trouble" Izuku managed to get out without stuttering.

"It's no trouble at all. It's nice to meet one of Ochaco's friends" she replied.

"Okay well...thank you very much" replied Izuku.

"You're welcome. Honey could you give me a hand in the kitchen" Mrs Uraraka asked her husband.

"Of course. You kids have fun" said her father.

"C'mon Deku I'll show you around" said Ochaco as she quickly grabbed his wrist whilst bolting out of the room. Both parents just chuckled with each other over the interaction.

Ochaco had dragged him to her room first of all and paused before entering;

"I can't believe I'm going to bring a boy in to my room. Not that anything is going to happen, right?" she thought to herself before opening the door and leading the boy in to the room.

"Well...this is my room. What do you think? It's not much" said Ochaco.

"It's...er...well it's very pink" said Izuku. Indeed it was very pink. It was Ochacos favourite colour wasn't it? He should probably ask that question later. That's when he noticed the figure of thirteen on her desk;

"Cool, you've got a thirteen figure" he exclaimed.

"Yeah my favourite hero since I was a kid" replied a cheery and slightly less embarrassed Ochaco.

"WAS my favourite hero. My favourite hero now is right here in my room" she thought as she blushed up a storm. Thankfully, Izuku was too busy geeking out over the figure for him to notice.

"C'mon Deku and I'll show ya the rest" she said.

"Ok" he replied as he had to tear himself away from the thirteen figure.

She continued showing him around the house, pointed out where the bathroom was, her parents room which went without saying, was off limits and the backyard. A strange thing that they had managed to get with this home since the family moved around a lot but it was there and was used very little since most of the time her folks weren't home but out working. This was a rare occasion for them to be home.

After the tour they went back to Ochacos room where she rummaged around in her drawers to find something more comfortable to wear, they were both still in their school uniforms after all.

"Hey Deku, I'm just gonna go change if you don't mind waiting for me?" she asked.

"Hm, no not at all" he replied. She left him on his own as she went to the bathroom to get changed.

Izuku sat at the end of her bed in contemplation;

"Wow, I'm sitting in a girls room. This is a bit overwhelming...I mean it's very pink. Are all girls rooms like this? She's got posters but I don't recognise who's on them...boy band maybe? And she's got a hand mirror and a brush...of course she does, she's a girl, she brushes her hair and does her make up...doesn't she?"

Truth be told he hadn't really given it a thought before, it wasn't what he looked at whenever he looked at her. When he looked at her, all he ever saw were those big brown eyes and the radiance that was her smile, every other detail was dropped to the side.

He was staring off in to space, consumed by his own thoughts when he heard his own name being called;

"Deku!" came the voice of Uraraka.

"Huh, oh sorry, you were saying something Uraraka?" he asked confusedly.

"Hehe silly Deku. I said dinner is ready, c'mon" she explained as she giggled.

"Oh right, of course" he replied as he got off her bed and followed her out to the living area. He removed his blazer and hung it up on a peg behind the door where the family kept their heavier jackets before joining the family at the table.

Mrs Uraraka served up katsudon. It was as if she knew that Izuku was going to be there and had made it especially, he thought that it was a fortunate time to visit Urarakas home.

"So Midoriya, tell us how you're liking U.A? Is it as big and flashy as Ochaco makes it out to be?" asked her father.

"Oh yeah definitely. They don't skimp on anything there, big name Pro heroes, giant mock cities, giant robots" he explained before he shuddered at the last thought. It was both a good memory and a stark reminder of why he was getting stronger.

"That's nice. What about your quirk? It's a strength type, right?" her mother asked.

"Yeah, it's got a lot of major backlash though. I can't go 100% with it or I'll just break my bones and Recovery Girl has already threatened to stop healing my injuries if I keep hurting myself without trying to control my power" he replied with a sheepish smile at the thought of Recovery Girl not healing him next time.

"Well that's why we go to school, right Deku? To help control and strengthen our quirks?" asked Ochaco, though it was more of a statement than a question.

"Y-yeah, that's right" he replied, blushing slightly.

"I can't imagine it was easy growing up with strength like that" said Mr Uraraka.

"Um...well, to tell you the truth sir I...I didn't actually...develop my quirk as a kid" Izuku briefly explained.

This garnered the attention of all the Urarakas, Ochaco included as all she knew was that he was a late bloomer.

"Really? That's strange, so when did you develop your quirk, if you don't mind me asking, Midoriya?" asked Mrs Uraraka.

Izuku was a bit nervous, it felt like they were interrogating him, probing him for secrets. He had to remind himself that they were Urarakas parents and were just being friendly;

"I was er...f-fif...fifteen…" he replied quietly. The room was stunned in to silence. They couldn't quite believe that this boy who was at the country's top hero school had only gained his quirk within the last six months or so and from what their daughter had told them, he was making leaps and bounds with it, literally.

"It sounds like you've done tremendously then Midoriya" said Mr Uraraka as both he and Mrs Uraraka adorned smiles on their faces, "I know that everyone tends to go all out when their quirk first appears, depending of course on the quirk itself. Tell us, when was the first time you used your quirk? What helped you discover your quirk?" asked Mr Uraraka.

Ochaco turned her gaze towards her friend and secret crush that right now was on the back burner as she wanted this night to go well and so far, it was going great but now they were delving in to some personal subjects. Although, even she couldn't tear her gaze away from him and had a look of such bewilderment on her face at the next words that came out of his mouth;

"Well...did Uraraka ever tell you about the entrance exam?" he asked them.

"She did and she told us how you saved her from that big huge robot, so whilst I have the opportunity, I'd like to thank you Izuku dear" said Mrs Uraraka before she and her husband bowed to the boy over the table.

Ochaco was embarrassed to say the least when she looked at her parents, however she turned back to face the boy and flashed him a smile to say 'thanks again' Izuku didn't need to ask to know what it meant.

"I'm sorry we interrupted you dear, please go on" said Mrs Uraraka.

Izuku then turned to face Ochaco so that she would hear this part loud and clear;

"Well that huge zero point robot that I saved her from? That was the first time I ever used my quirk. Uraraka helped me to discover my quirk" he explained. He knew he couldn't tell the truth, about how he obtained his quirk but otherwise everything he just said was true. It would put them all in danger knowing how his quirk actually manifested and the burdens he was carrying.

"Deku…" gaped Uraraka. She couldn't believe it, the first time he used his quirk was to save her. She just couldn't believe it. The thought that he potentially ran at the zero pointer in the knowledge that he didn't have a quirk and yet was still willing to risk his life in order to save hers. He was her hero before, now he was truly her hero, he defined and personified the word hero.

Ochaco's parents were stunned too. At first it was a quirk at fifteen, then the first time using said quirk was to save their daughter from the huge zero-point robot. This timid, meek looking boy, possessed a heart of gold and they could not have been happier.

The rest of dinner went by without any other major pieces of information being revealed, none that her parents didn't already know about at least. Soon it was time for Izuku to go;

"Thank you again for having me Mr & Mrs Uraraka"

"It was no trouble at all Midoriya. Please, feel free to come round any time" said Mr Uraraka.

"Yes, you'll always be welcome here" said Mrs Uraraka with a smile on her face just like Ochacos but a bit more mature looking.

"Mom! Dad! I'm going to walk Deku back for a bit, to make sure he finds the station ok" said Ochaco.

"Of course sweety, don't be too long" her mother replied as she winked at Ochaco.

"Mom!" admonished an embarrassed and red faced Ochaco. Thankfully Izuku was looking at Ochaco when the wink happened and he hadn't seen it, otherwise he too might have been red-faced.

As the teenagers left, Ochaco's mother turned to her husband and asked;

"So what do you think of Midoriya then?"

"I like him already. He's polite and kind and he clearly cares for Ochaco and seems to have her best interests at heart. I just hope he's not like other teenage boys his age" he replied. His wife smiled at him before replying;

"I don't think he'll be like other boys. I think he'll be her whole world one day" she replied.

"What makes you say that?" he asked.

"Call it mother's intuition...that and whenever she talks about school, Midoriya is always a topic of conversation...ALWAYS!" she replied to her husband with a chuckle.

The two teenagers started towards the station, both remaining silent for a few minutes before Ochaco spoke up;

"Hey Deku?" she asked, grabbing his attention. He turned to look at her, "Hm? What is it?"

"I know I've probably said this like a hundred times now but...I wanna say thank you...again" he said.

"Thank you? But what for?" he said in a confused one.

"For being you. What you told me and my parents at dinner, about your quirk and the first time you used it …" she started before trailing off.

"...I...I admire you, a lot Deku. To me...you are the definition of a hero...you...you make me want to be a better hero and I'm…" she continued before stopping and grabbing his hand to stop him walking too.

He stopped and turned around to look at her. She was looking down, not sullenly but more in concentration as if she were pondering something before she flung her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hub.

Izuku froze for a moment before realising what he should be doing. As his brain started to function again, he slowly wrapped his arms around her back and embraced her a bit more despite the volcanic blush that was strewn all over his face right now. Just as he thought he was about to pass out, Uraraka started back up again;

"You're my best friend Deku and I never want you to ever change" she said as she made sure to hold back any tears. They were tears of joy anyway but she didn't want him to start fussing over nothing. After embracing for what must have been a full minute by this point, she started to slowly pull away but as she did, she moved her head slightly to the left and brought her left hand up to cup his right cheek before placing a soft kiss on his other cheek.

"So thanks Deku" she said as she finally released him and smiled brightly at him, only for her to suddenly realise what she had done. Izuku was way ahead of her, eyes wide and steam almost literally coming out of his ears. Her blushed cheeks now covered her whole face before she pointed down a street and began speaking again;

"So er…t-the station is eh...that-that way. Text me when you get home Deku...okaygottagobye" she stammered out before turning and power walking back down the street, her hands holding on to her face. She knew her mother would want the gossip later on but that was alright, she could deal with that when it was just mother daughter time.

She only hoped Deku wouldn't react badly.

He stood there for two whole minutes before he rebooted and made his way to the train station:

"Did that really just happen?" he asked no one in particular.

He found his way back to the train station and took the train home. It was a 90 minute train ride back to Musutafu and another ten to his home. He had text his mother during the daytime so she knew he was going to be a bit late back home.

Once he had gotten home, he and his mother had a nice conversation in their kitchen as they drank green tea. Inko was overjoyed that Izuku was not only making friends but socialising as a normal kid should be. She had even suggested that he bring Ochaco over one day as a polite thing to do seeing as she had invited him to her home and met her parents.

To say Izuku was a bit embarrassed by the whole idea, he agreed to it as he didn't want to disappoint his mother but at the same time, he really wanted to spend more time with Uraraka. She was his best friend, not something that he could really say he'd had in a long time.

He finally made it to his room and plopped down on the bed. It had been a long day and the trip to Urarakas was an extra journey he wasn't expecting so it came as no surprise that by this time of the day he was struggling to stay awake. Thankfully it was a day off tomorrow so he could get some extra rest.

He got changed and set his alarm for the next day (he didn't want to oversleep or it would interrupt his sleep pattern for the rest for the week) and as he was making himself comfortable, he could hear his phone vibrate from the bedside table:

1 unread message

From: Ochaco Uraraka

"Oh, I wonder what she wants" he thought.

Uraraka: Hey, did you make it home ok?

He forgot to text her and let her know he was home safe:

Me: Hey! I'm sorry, I'm just a bit tired and forgot. Yes, I made it home.

Uraraka: Good, I'm glad you made it home safe :)

Me: Thanks for asking :)

As he finished his text, he thought back to when they had left each other at the end of the street. His arms wrapped around her warm and soft body, her breath on his neck, her soft and gentle hands and...the kiss on his cheek.

He rubbed absentmindedly at the spot she had kissed. It was so tender and caring. He wanted her to do that again, to feel the electricity of that moment, to hold her in his arms again, to...

Me: ...Hey Uraraka...are you...busy on Sunday?

Uraraka:...?...No, why do you ask?

Me: I was wondering if...you would like...do something...like get...dinner or...see a movie?

His personality and stammering are so cute that they seep right in to his texting habits.

Uraraka: ...Hold on! Deku...are you...asking me out...like a date?

Me: …

Me: ...yes

Uraraka: …

Uraraka: ...I…

Uraraka: ...I'd love to :) x

Author's Note: Honestly, I wanted to write a lot more for this story but at the same time I don't want this to turn out like Truth or Consequences where I started it and made strong progress before having a slump in the second half of the story. I did want to throw in a villain fight in front of Uraraka's parents but it wouldn't really have fit in with the way I ended up going with this story.
