Outside Aviary

(Kowalski's POV)

The external glass of The Aviary was smashed Rats swarming every inch of the building. Birds were flying around in a panic. Rats were carrying things out of The Aviary including a bench and even signs with animal information on it.

"Take everything that's not nailed down!" The Rat King said holding a bucket with a Heron on it, "Then take the nailed stuff too!"

We slid to a halt in front of the mutant Rat monarch, "How about you take our fists!" Skipper said.

"Penguins!" one of the Rat said.

"You have some nerve showing up here!" The Rat King said.

"Well we live here," I said.

"Oh right," The Rat King said, "Totally undercut the moment..."

"How about you run off before someone gets hurt," Skipper said as Rico chuckled

"Boss! Them fighting words!" A Rat said.

"Are you going to put up with that?" Another Rat said.

"No," The Rat King said.

"Give the word Boss," A third rat said as the others crack their knuckles.

"Attack!" The Rat King shouted pointing in our direction.

Petunia turns to her Drones, "You heard him..."

"Initiating attack!" The lead drone said.

"I hate robots!" Several rats shouted as explosions fling them into the air.

A drone fires a net on the Rat King as high powered arcs of electricity blasted through the air. The Rat King bursts from the net and jumped up and smashed The Net Gun drone. The Nanites tried to reform into a Tank only for the King Rat to smash it again. A Stunning blast was fired his way he dodged the stun blast knocking out several of his rat minions.

"You're not fighting fair!" The King Rat shouted knocking another drone so hard that it's Nanites shattered like glass.

A railgun round fires off but the Rat King dodged it as a Ion beam fired. The Rat King bent over backwards before rolling out of the way. The pavement exploded sending more birds into a panic. Rico fired his Rocket launcher smashing the Rat King into a terrarium on the outside of The Insect House.

"Do you think I'm afraid of tiny bugs?" The King Rat said unaware of the giant spider climbing up his back.

"Now it's time for the beat down," The Rat King said looking behind him seeing the spider.

"Well howdy do," The spider said.

"Ahhhh!" The Rat King said running around unaware the Spider jumped off, "Get it off! Get it off!"

"Is he okay?" the Spider asked Skipper.

"I have no idea," Skipper said.

A stream of fire lit the King Rat's back on fire, "Ah fire! Fire!"

"Stop drop and roll!" The King Rat said as he rolled around in the grass.

The King Rat got up looking really boiled, "That was a dirty trick birds!"

Another drone fired off a bola which got wrapped around the giant rat's legs, "oh no," he said as he fell over backwards onto some unlucky Rats.

"No more," Rat King said, "No more..."

He then passed out, "In your face," I said.

"Yeah," Rico said.

"Retreat!" A rat shouted.

The large swarm of rats picked up their king and ran off. One Rat flipped the manhole cover up and the mob fled into the sewers. The Rat King is thrown in and is followed by the rest of the swarm.

"We shall be back!" A rat said shaking his fist at us before sliding the manhole cover over.

"Disperse and scan for other threats," Petunia said.

"Entering surveillance mode," The Drones said as their Nanite built weapons lost their shape and was reabsorbed back into their metal forms.

Some Nanites stayed behind to be reformed into cameras or scanning equipment. The Drones dispersed and flew to the four corners of The Zoo.

Suddenly Mason ran up, "We have problem! Savio just ate Marlene in front of The Reptile House!"

"Really?" Skipper said.

"I needed some snake-skinned boots," Petunia said loading her crossbow.

"Boas are an endangered Species," I said.

"Oh Savio is going to be endangered when we're done with him," Skipper said, "MOVE OUT!"
