Chapter 7: Gotta Kill Em All Part 2
Back in the stadium, Sora and the gang ran back to Prof. Oak when they encountered Brock and Max.
Max: Hey, it's you guys again.
Brock: Didn't you get kicked out?
Sora: Yes, but we got a pass!
Sora pulls out his pass.
Brock: Whoa! How did you get it?
Plucky: From some very obsessed fans.
Sora: Plucky!
Plucky:(Whispers)Just play along, OK?
Sora: OK.
Max: We better tell Prof. Oak about this!
Back with Prof. Oak, he puts the finishing touches on the rules and sighs.
Oak: Finally, I'm done!
Brock & Max: PROF. OAK!
Prof. Oak then turns to see Brock and Max return with Sora.
Oak: Not again! Didn't I tell you not to return?
Sora: Professor, I've got a pass!
Oak: This is no time for jokes!
Dizzy: Sora not joking! Check it out!
Sora pulls out his pass and gave it to Oak.
Oak: How on earth did you get this pass?
Sora: This pass is suppose to give us entry to the games, right?
Oak: Fine, you win.
The three heroes jumped for joy.
Oak: But first, you'll be entering the Preliminary Cup. Are you ready?
Sora: We're ready!
Oak: The match starts in five minutes, so prepare yourself and be careful. Some weird creatures have entered the tournament.
The three made their way towards the arena with an audience cheering for them as they entered the arena. In the middle of the arena is a red and white ball-shaped floor.
Sora: Look at all the people out there!
Plucky: Do you think we can do it?
Sora: Of course we can! If we work together and kick some butt!
A man in the center holds up a green flag and a red flag.
Man: May the contestants enter the ring!
On the other side of the ring are Soldiers and new types of Heartless called Blue Rhapsodies. They are blue wizard-like Heartless.
Dizzy: HEARTLESS!
Plucky: No big deal! We can take them on!
Man: Let the match begin!
The two teams charged at each other. Sora and Dizzy clashed with the Soldiers while Plucky took care the the Blue Rhapsodies. Sora uses his Keyblade while Dizzy uses his Spin Attack to take out the Soldiers. The Blue Rhapsodies shot Blizzard at Plucky, but he dodges them. Plucky counters with Fire Magic, wiping out the Heartless.
Man: Team Sora is the winner!
the audience cheers for Team Sora's victory. During their break, they met up with Prof. Oak.
Oak: I've truly underestimated you, Sora. You're no hero yet, but you're not bad yourself. Luckily, you came to me for coaching.
As Prof. Oak continues talking, Sora and his friends turned towards a young man walking by them. He wears a black sleeveless shirt and pants, metal pauldron on his shoulder, a red robe around his neck, brown boots and gloves, has spiky blonde hair, and holds a giant sword wrapped up in bandages. He looks at Sora for a moment before walking away.
Dizzy: Who that?
Oak: I don't know. But something tells me he'll be a tough one to beat. Who knows? Maybe you'll end up facing him. But for now, get back out there and show them what you're made of!
Sora nods and his team heads back into the arena. The next match pits Team Sora against a bunch of Shadows and three Blue Rhapsodies. Sora took care of the Blue Rhapsodies while Plucky and Dizzy took care of the Shadows. Sora uses Fire to take out the Blue Rhapsodies, while Plucky uses Thunder, and Dizzy delivers Mega Punch and Mega Kick to take out the Shadows.
Man: Team Sora is the winner!
The next round pits them against the Blue Rhapsodies and Red Nocturnes. The Red Nocturnes look like Blue Rhapsodies except they are red instead of blue and they shoot fire. The Red Nocturnes and Blue Rhapsodies shot Fire and Blizzard at Team Sora, but they dodged. Sora casts Fire on the Blue Rhapsodies while Plucky casts Blizzard on the Red Nocturnes. The Heartless were all wiped out.
Man: Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers again for Team Sora. During break, they met up with Prof. Oak again.
Oak: You guys are better than I thought. Too bad Ash and May aren't here to see this.
Sora: Who are Ash and May?
Oak: Ash Ketchum is a Pokemon Trainer training for the Pokemon League. He seeks to become a Pokemon Master by catching Pokemon and beating Pokemon Gyms. May is a Pokemon Coordinator. She participates in Pokemon Contests. She's the older sister of Max.
Announcer: Would Team Sora report to the arena for the next match?
Plucky: We better get back to the arena!
The team left and heads to the next round. The next round of Heartless are two Shadows and Soldiers and three Red Nocturnes and Blue Rhapsodies. Sora took out the Blue Rhapsodies, Plucky took out the Red Nocturnes, and Dizzy took out the Shadows and Soldiers.
Man: Team Sora is the winner!
The next round pits Team Sora against a bunch of Blue Rhapsodies. Sora and Plucky uses Fire to take out the Blue Rhapsodies.
Man: Team Sora is the winner!
While Team Sora is taking a break, two figures were watching the battle in the shadows. They are Giovanni and the blonde man. Giovanni was in his seat, petting his cat-like Pokemon, Persian.
Giovanni: That little brat is your next opponent. Now don't blow it and take him out.
Man: The great leader of Team Rocket is afraid of a kid? Sorry, but the contract says-
Giovanni: I KNOW! You think I don't know? I wrote the contract! I know it says you're only required to kill Ash Ketchum in this tournament and take his Pikachu! But in order to do so, you've gotta beat that kid first! Come on!
He looks at the trio with Prof. Oak.
Giovanni: It's like what that old man says. Rule 11: It's all just a game. So let loose and have fun with it. Besides, a casualty or two is no big deal, right?
The man then stood up and leaves.
Giovanni: I must admit, he has an attitude problem. But he is still a sucker to my plan.
In the shadows, three sinister laughs could be heard. Meanwhile, Team Sora faced off against the Red Nocturnes, Blue Rhapsodies, and a new Heartless called the Large Body. It looks like a Soldier, but fatter. Plucky took on the magical Heartless while Sora and Dizzy took on the Large Body. They tried to attack it, but couldn't do any damage to it. They attacked it from behind which works.
Man: Victory goes to Team Sora!
The crowd cheers again as the team went off to meet with Prof. Oak.
Oak: Congratulations, Sora! You've made it to the finals! You ready for it?
Team Sora: Yes sir!
Oak: The match will begin in ten minutes. I suggest you prepare for this one.
After ten minutes have passed, Team Sora enters the ring, ready to fight their final opponent.
Sora: Listen, guys. Our next opponent won't be easy. We gotta work together.
Plucky: No problem, kid. We'll beat this guy faster than you can sing the Tiny Toons theme song.
Sora and Dizzy just rolls their eyes and turns to see the young man with a giant sword entering the ring.
Dizzy: That our opponent?
Plucky:(Whimpers)It's been nice knowing you, kid.
Plucky attempts to walk away, but Sora and Dizzy pulls him back in.
Dizzy: Plucky no leave! Plucky stay to help Sora!
Plucky:(Whimpers)Kid, did you see the size outta that sword? He'll make Peking Duck outta me!
Sora: Don't worry, guys. We'll beat him as long as we stick together.
Sora walks up to the man.
Sora: Before we start, what's your name?
Man: My name is Cloud Strife. I'm an Ex-SOLDIER.
Dizzy: Soldier? Where Cloud's red outfit and funny hat?
Cloud: Not that kinda Soldier. Sorry, kid. But I'm here to destroy you. Either you surrender or die.
Plucky: Did you hear that? He wanna kill us!(Whimpers)Nice knowing you two.
Plucky tried to leave again, but Dizzy grabs him again.
Sora: Why would I surrender?
Cloud: My powers are too great. If you value your life, you should surrender.
Plucky:(Whimpers)You heard the man. Let's get outta here!
Sora: No way! I would surrender to nobody!
Plucky:(Whimpers)I was hoping he wouldn't say that.
Cloud: Well, either you're brave or stupid to challenge me. Either way, you don't stand a chance.
Man: Let the match begin!
The battle starts with Sora and Cloud clashing swords. Sora jumps out of the way, but Cloud charges at him with his Buster Sword. Dizzy tried to do a Spin Attack against Cloud, but he counters with his sword. Plucky tried to shoot a Fire spell, but Cloud zooms past him and knocks him out. Dizzy ran at Cloud, but Cloud knocks him out. Sora angrily rushed at Cloud and rams him to the ground. Cloud stood up and brushed himself off.
Cloud: Not bad, kid. You're much stronger that I thought. But I'm only warming up.
Cloud and Sora clashed swords again. The force was so powerful that it shook the entire battlefield.
Cloud: It can't be! He matches my power!
The two got into a violent swordfight, clashing and dodging their attacks. Sora then kicks Cloud in the stomach and Cloud counters with a slash attack. Sora jumps back and charges at Cloud again. Sora pushed back against Cloud and did a double kick, knocking him down. Sora quickly proceeds to slash at him as fast as he could. Cloud got knocked out, breathing heavily.
Cloud: I...can't...let...you...win!
Cloud then yells and transforms. He now has a black wing appearing on his back.
Cloud: I shall send you to oblivion!
Cloud flew at Sora. Sora tried to slash him, but it did no damage. Cloud began rapidly slashing at Sora and knocks him back. Cloud then loses his powers and began breathing as hard as Sora.
Sora: You're...better...than...I...thought!
Sora then looks up and notices something coming.
Sora: Cloud, look out behind you!
Cloud turns around and saw a giant robot trying to crush him. The giant robot looks like a cat with a coin on it's head. Giovanni laughs as he leaves the arena.
Giovanni: There's one rule I forgot to mention: Accidents happen.
He laughs as he disappears in the shadows. Plucky and Dizzy ran over to Sora.
Plucky: Are you OK?
Sora: Yeah, I'm fine.
Plucky uses his magic to heal Sora.
Dizzy: What is that thing?
All of a sudden, a spotlight appears above the robot's head and two figures came out of it. One was a young man with long purple hair, wearing a white long sleeve shirt with the letter R on it, white pants, and black rubber boots and gloves. The other was a young woman with very long red hair, wearing a white midriff with the same R on it, a white skirt, and black long gloves and boots.
Sora: Who are these people?
Woman: Prepare for trouble...
Man: And make it double...
Woman: To protect the world from devastation...
Man: To unite all people within our nation...
Woman: To denounce the evils of truth and love...
Man: To extend our reach to the stars above...
Woman: Jessie...
Man: James...
Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light...
James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight!
Then a little cat with a coin on it's head jumps in the middle of them.
Pokemon: Meowth, dat's right!
Then a little blue creature with it's eyes shut also appears, holding it's hand up
Pokemon: Wobbuffet!
Then a white creature shaped like a Japanese wind chime also appears.
Pokemon: Chime! Chime!
After that, Sora and his group looks at each other and broke into laughter.
James: Hey! What's so funny?
Sora: That was the corniest thing I've ever seen!
Jessie: How dare you make fun of our motto!
Plucky: I think Elmyra is much scarier than you three ever will be!
Meowth: HEY! Zip it, twerps! Nobody gets away with mocking us!
Dizzy: Team Rocket? More like Team Laughter!
Jessie: THAT DOES IT! NOBODY GETS AWAY WITH MOCKING THE TEAM ROCKET NAME!
The three thugs went back inside the robot and proceeds to crush them. All of a sudden, a green lizard-like creature with leaves on it's arms and head and a yellow humanoid chicken with a red lower body stops the robot's feet from crushing them.
? 1: Good work, Grovyle! Hold them off!
? 2: You too, Combusken!
Everyone turns to see a boy and a girl. The boy wears a red and black cap with a green ball on it, a blue jacket, blue jeans, black fingerless gloves, and has black spiky hair. On his shoulder was a yellow mouse with red cheeks and a thunderbolt-shaped tail. The girl wears a red bandana with a white ball on it, a red t-shirt, black shorts, black and white gloves, and has long brown hair.
Brock: ASH!
Max: MAY!
The boy named Ash turns to Prof. Oak.
Ash: Professor, get everyone outta here!
Oak: What about you two?
May: We can take care of them!
Everyone except Sora ran for it. Sora stays behind, wanting to help Ash, May, and Cloud out.
Plucky: Come on, kid!
Listening to Plucky's word, Sora made a run for it back to the lobby.
Oak: That was close!
Sora: Who are these people?
Brock: They are Team Rocket. They're a gang of criminals that steal all kinds of Pokemon.
Oak: I'll bet Giovanni is behind this.
Dizzy: Who Giovanni?
Oak: He's the leader of Team Rocket. if you look over there, you'll see a wanted picture of him.
He points to the poster and the group gasps in horror.
Plucky: It's that guy who gave us the pass!
Sora: He set us up! That creep tricked us to enter in order to face Cloud!
Dizzy: What we do?
Sora: One thing we must do! Help Ash and May stop Team Rocket!
Oak: Kid, are you crazy? They are dangerous criminals!
Sora: We're not afraid! You can decide if we are hero material or not!
Oak: OK, good luck, Sora!
Sora nods and he and his friends returned to the arena. In the arena, the Team Rocket mech was destroyed by Grovyle and Combusken. The Team Rocket trio fell right off the mech.
Meowth: NO! Not da Meowth robot!
Jessie: Grr! We should fight the twerps the old-fashioned way! Seviper, Dustox, GO!
Jessie released a black snake with yellow diamonds on it's back and a red blade on it's tail and a purple moth with green wings.
James: Cacnea, Chimecho, you too!
James released a green cactus shaped like a ball with two spiky arms and a crown and the same wind chime Pokemon. All of a sudden, the cactus Pokemon turns to James and hugs him.
James: OW! Get them! Not me!
The four Pokemon of Team Rocket surrounds Ash, May, Grovyle, Combusken, and Cloud. Suddenly, Sora and the gang arrives.
Sora: ASH! MAY! CLOUD!
Ash: Who is that boy?
Sora: My name is Sora. I'll take care of them!
May: Don't underestimate Team Rocket. They may be silly, but their Pokemon are powerful.
Meowth: Once we defeat you twerps, we'll grab dat Pikachu!
James: We'll also defeat that twerp who holds the key!
Meowth then scratches James's face.
Meowth: QUIET, YOU IDIOT! We can let dat kid know our plan!
Sora: You three work for Giovanni, don't you?
James: The Boss?
Jessie then hits James on the head with a hammer.
Jessie: Can't you keep your mouth shut for once?
Meowth: Now, twerp! It's time to say good-bye to your Pikachu!
Sora: Go, Ash! You and May get Cloud outta here! We'll stop Team Rocket!
Ash: Right! Grovyle, return!
May: You too, Combusken!
Ash and May returns their Pokemon in their balls and carries Cloud over their shoulders. Prof. Oak walks into the arena.
Oak: Kid, here's a piece of advice: ATTACK!
The battle begins with Sora battling Seviper, Dizzy battling Cacnea, and Plucky battling Dustox and Chimecho. Seviper uses Poison Tail to clash with Sora's Keyblade. Cacnea uses Pin Missile on Dizzy, but he blocks it using his Spin Attack. Dustox and Chimecho uses Psybeam which hits Plucky, making him confused. Plucky casts Fire which hits Sora and Dizzy.
Sora: OW! Watch where you're casting your magic, Plucky!
Plucky: Sorry, Sora. I'm a little dizzy.
Seviper then use Wrap to trap Sora around his body. Cacnea uses Needle Arm to hit Dizzy.
James: Ooh! We're finally winning!
Meowth: Dose twerps are no match for us.
Jessie: Let's finish them off!
Soon Plucky returns to normal and uses Blizzard on Dustox and Chimecho, freezing them. He then uses Fire on Seviper, freeing Sora. Sora then proceeds to slash Seviper with the Keyblade. After Seviper is down, Sora and Plucky helps Dizzy take down Cacnea. After taking down all of Team Rocket's Pokemon, Sora and Plucky uses Thunder, shocking Team Rocket, which caused an explosion, sending Team Rocket flying.
Jessie: We always lose!
Meowth: Even in a Video Game parody!
James: We were so close to winning this time!
Wobbuffet: Wobba!
Team Rocket: Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!
Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!
Chimecho: Chime! Chime!
A star twinkles from where Team Rock was sent flying to. Back in the lobby, Officer Jenny presented medals to Sora and his team.
Jenny: In honor of your brave work defeating those criminals, we present you with these medals of honor.
She puts the medals around our heroes' necks.
Jenny: And by request from Prof. Oak, you have the rights to enter the games as junior heroes.
Sora and the gang jumps with joy, but then Plucky stops and looks at Prof. Oak with and angry look.
Plucky: What does she mean by "junior heroes?"
Oak: You still have a lot to learn about what it takes to be true heroes.
Dizzy: What does it take?
Ash: That's something you'll have to find out for yourselves. Just the way me and Pikachu did. Right, Pikachu?
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Sora: No problem. We'll start by proving ourselves in the games.
Oak: Team Rocket caused a mess in the stadium, so the games won't be for awhile. We gotta clean up the mess from that last battle first.
Sora: OK, we'll be back.
Sora and his friends said good-bye and left.
Oak: I still can't believe that Sora actually defeated Team Rocket.
May: Just between us, me and Ash already worn Team Rocket down by the time Sora jumped in.
Oak: I couldn't agree with you more. Let's keep it our secret.
Meanwhile, Sora and his friend left the stadium. While they were about the leave the conference, Sora saw Cloud sitting on a bench. Sora ran over to him.
Sora: Hey, Cloud! Are you alright?
Cloud: Yeah. Sorry about earlier.
Sora: Why did you join Team Rocket anyway?
Cloud: I'm looking for someone. Giovanni promised to help me if I captured Ash's Pikachu. I tried to exploit the power of darkness, but it backfired. I fell into darkness, and I couldn't find the light.
Sora: You'll find it.
Cloud then looks at him.
Sora: I'm searching too.
Cloud: For your light?
Sora nods.
Cloud: Well, kid. Our paths may be different, but our goals are the same.
He gave Sora a badge.
Cloud: Keep this and don't lose sight of it.
He then walks away.
Sora: How about a rematch sometime? Fair and square and no dark powers involved!
Cloud: Maybe we'll have a rematch someday. But for now, I think I'll pass.
He then walks away again. The gang returns to the Gummi Ship.
Sweetie: Sora, I'm glad to see that everything turned out OK!
Sora: We'll be back to battle in the games.
The Gummi Ship took off as Sora and the group sat on their seats.
Sneezer: The next world is northeast of here. We'll be arriving in 30 minutes.
Dizzy: OK, so what we do?
Elder-Ham: Wanna hear about Snow White and the Seven Hams?
Sora: I don't see why not.
Plucky: How about Snow White and the Seven Toons?
Elder-Ham: That's literally the same story, except with toons instead of hamsters.
The ship took off into space at lightspeed. Back at the stadium, Giovanni was fuming with anger.
Giovanni: Curse that Ash Ketchum! He always ruins my plans to capture rare Pokemon!
He rams his fist in the wall. Jessie, James, and Meowth walks out and got on their knees, begging.
James: Please, Boss. Give us another chance.
Giovanni: You three have failed me for the last time!
Jessie: Please don't do this to us.
Meowth: We'll get dem next time.
Giovanni then calms down and took a deep breath.
Giovanni: OK, I gotta keep my cool. Here's what you three will do. I'll let Ash and that Keyblade twerp compete with each other. In the next games, we'll take care of them both.
Meowth: You're da best, Boss!
Suddenly, Ganondorf appears behind Team Rocket. The trio cowers behind Giovanni.
Giovanni: I didn't invite you to the party. Stay outta this. This is my show.
Ganondorf: Your stubbornness will get you nowhere fast killing that brat, you worm. But f that's what you wish, then fine. Fight to your heart's content.
He went through the dark portal and left.
That's it for chapter 7. Next time, our heroes will be entering a new world.
